  • They get their authority from the ABDICATION OF LAW ENFORCEMENT... and its misguided interpretations of freedom of the press. Example: A free press is not permitted to commit open SEDITION OR TREASON.   There can be no protection under the 1st amendment for sedition, treason, and incitement to riot or speech that violates the criminal and civil laws of the USA.

    • Oh, I'd say that freedom of the Press is pretty much not abridgeable,

EXCEPT where Constitutionally banned from doing so.

You listed the points of interest.

and a pretty bouquet they are.

  • It's simple, if you don't like what's happening to the Country don't vote democrat. Democrat people either love what is happening or they are ignorant. I think ignorant to the point of dumb. We can thank our schools and social media for that. Schools are teaching nonsense and Media lies. We need to stop the evil executive orders an policies that are unconstitutional in the Courts. Even our Judicial has been compromised and we need to clean house. Our elections are our only hope. Don't Vote Democrat period.

  • What absolute nonsense.  Capitalism is the ONLY economic system in which Democracy can flourish.  In all other systems, the economic delivery systems are owned by (ir at least controlled by) the government.  I am constantly amazed at how economically (and historically) ignorant the Left wing Media is!

    • That's what happens when you have indoctrination centers rather than real education systems.

  • Democratic government was never part of our Constitutional Republic... We are a Constitutional Republic, we have a representative government, not a Democracy... The United States of America has a representative system of government, which assigns specific and limited powers to govern the Republic thru a central government (Federal Government) as prescribed in our Constitution.  We are not a Democracy.

The President and VP are supposed to be elected by the States, not by a direct popular vote of the people... The States elect the VP and President as their legislatures dictate by state law. The choosing of Electors, and assigning of their electoral vote to the candidates is done by state law, not by popular vote. The electoral college is not a democratic process... it is an instrument of our representative system of government.

Capitalism is an economic system it is not a system of government... Economies that are managed by the government are not capitalist economies... nor are they normally associated with democratic government.  Central economies are used by socialist and communist governments to assign wealth and govern the masses.  Our Government has interfered with our Capitalist economy to the point that we no longer have free markets or trade policy.... our economy is more akin to a managed market system than a capitalist system.

    • P/S

When are we going to return to the election of the Vice President on their own ticket/merit? Wouldn't it be nice if we had a Trump clone sitting as VP controlling the US Senate?  Our founders envisioned a VP with more than casual powers ... the VP is to preside over the US Senate.  As such, they could manage its schedule and dictate its legislative calendar.  Under the 25th Amendment, the VP could call for the ousting of Pres. Biden for his serious medical disabilities.

It is time to refer to the US Constitution and return to holding a separate ballot/vote for the VP...

    • You know, that idea has its merits. One typically assumes the Presidential candidate has the discretion, but not nessesarily. LBJ was no admirer of JFK, and to some extent it was mutual. The V.P. was a party selection, by party apparatus it seems. Perhaps rank and file election is the better means for a non-Pence selection. IMHO

    • Article 2 and 12th Amendment of 1804, REQUIRERS STATE ELECTORS VOTING FOR PRESIDENT AND VICE PRESIDENT TO: "...name in their ballots the person voted for as President  AND IN DISTINCT BALLOTS THE PERSON VOTED FOR AS VICE PRESIDENT AND THEY SHALL MAKE DISTINCT LISTS OF ALL PERSONS VOTED FOR AS PRESIDENT, AND OF ALL PERSONS VOTED FOR AS VICE PRESIDENT..."  tHE PERSONS WITH THE GREATEST NUMBER OF VOTES SHALL BE ELECTED AS PRESIDENT AND VICE PRESIDENT.  There is NO PROVISION to elect a vice president on a joint ballot each office must stand for election on its own

The election of the vice president is supposed to be based on a separate BALLOT and electoral count... The GOP needs to file a Writ of Quo Waranto to remove VP Harris from her office, she was not Constitutionally elected to the office of vice president, as prescribed by the Constitution.  She  also fails to meet the Natural Born Citizen requirement for the Office of Vice President

Does anyone read or follow the Constitution any longer?  The election of a President and the Vice President are to be based on separate ballots for each office .. NOT a party ticket/ballot.  Electors are to vote separately for each office and the individuals receiving the greatest number of votes

State Electors are to choose presidents and vice presidents separately (with separate ballots for each office)... permitting a president and vice president from opposing parties to be seated in the Executive Branch.  Example: Vice President Thomas Jefferson was a member of the Democrat-Repuvlican party and President John Adams was a member of the Federalist Party. .. an opposition party.

Our nation's founding fathers expected a split in Parties controlling the Executive Branch... to provide another check and balance on federal power... They EXPECTED these offices to stand for election on separate ballots.  In fact, any other form of election is unconstitutional and the posting of those elected on a joint ballot would be illegal... ILLEGAL.

Presidents and Vice Presidents are to be elected as individual candidates, on separate ballots, not on a party ticket.  The separate election of the President and Vice President was meant to be a check on executive power.

Sorry for the delay. I had to consider this one. Although I do know better, I have a habit of viewing the executive pair as a unit. I suppose the illusion is prompted by the presentation by media, of the process. Your points are not emphisized by the MSM, or the parties, who are motivated to present coherent unity as a strength. That makes the image of party ticket desirable to their interests. But it does potentially mislead.
