Michigan's attorney general owned up to drinking too much before last month's widely-anticipated college football game between in-state rivals Michigan and Michigan State in a self-deprecating Facebook post that she has dubbed 'Tailgate-gate.'
Dana Nessel wrote in a lengthy Facebook post Wednesday that she overestimated how much alcohol she could handle while tailgating at Spartan Stadium in East Lansing on October 30, and she even included a photo of herself slumped in a seat in the stands with a Michigan hat covering her face.
Nessel, a Democrat, said she had two Bloody Marys on an empty stomach while attending a tailgate party before Michigan State rallied to defeat Michigan 37-33 in a battle of then-undefeated Big 10 teams.
She joked that 'as long as you put enough vegetables in them, it's practically a salad.'
