He was talking about the comments made by Judge Barrett the day before, defending her family from attacks by radical leftists who claim she adopted black children to protect herself from accusations of racism. “They are my children who we love and who we brought home and made part of our family,” she said. “And accusations like that are cruel.” Senator John Kennedy gave Judge Barrett a chance to respond to accusations of her being a “white colonist” for adopting two children from Haiti, and you can see the extremely distasteful and nasty comments in the video below. Overall, one out of every five requests for mail-in ballots were rejected, according to the report. However, 90% of those mail-in ballots, about 336,000, were denied as duplicates. The reason for the confusion is because people may have previously and unknowingly already requested a mail-in ballot for the November election. Many Pennsylvanians who voted during the June primaries may have checked a box to request a mail-in ballot for the November election. Many may have requested a second ballot unwittingly. The attempt to promote mail-in voting in June amidst the coronavirus pandemic has caused administrative headaches for election officials preparing for the general election. "We basically have to treat them all the same," Bill Turner, acting elections director for Chester County, said. "We're taking a tremendous amount of staff time and effort only to find out it's a duplicate." "The volume of calls we have been getting has been overwhelming," Marybeth Kuznik, elections director in Armstrong County, northeast of Pittsburgh, said. "It has been almost like a denial of service attack at times because it seemed that sometimes all I could get done was answer the phone!" Making matters even worse, nongovernmental election groups have deluged Pennsylvania voters with mail-in ballot applications, urging voters to request mail-in ballots. In September, WND reported, an undercover video investigation by James O'Keefe's Project Veritas revealed a Minnesota-based source describes Rep. wortless-Ilhan Omar, D-Minn., as the mastermind behind a cash-for-ballots, voter-fraud scheme. Shaie released a 15-minute video in April of herself speaking in Somali in which she expressed her anger over the many voters she and her campaign encountered who expect her to pay $200 for a vote. Local Democrats had taken advantage of so many elderly Somali-American refugees, she says, who don't know that vote-buying is a serious federal crime. She says law enforcement and others "already know" about these "terrible things," which she warns will destroy the Somali-American community if they aren't stopped. "The old men or women, when you go to them to ask for their vote, they respond, 'I can't vote for you unless you pay,'" she says in the video, according to an English translation. She says she sent a van from her campaign "to give a ride to voters who promised to vote for my campaign, mostly older women, we picked up eight people." "When the driver and the eight people arrived at the voting center the voters told the driver 'na af garta' which means 'sort us out.' So the driver called me and said this is what they are saying. I asked, 'What does that mean?'" She says they responded, "It means our vote is worth $200 a person, we are being promised that amount, but because you are a nice young lady and we like you and how hard you are working, we will take $100 a vote instead." Shaie also tells of meeting an elderly Somali lady who said she voted but didn't know who she voted for. "How did you know you voted?" Shaie asked. The lady responded, "Someone came and forced me and took my ballot."
