BREAKING: @wbtradio once again has learned of explosive news involving CMS leadership. I’ve learned that the FBI & Dept of Justice is investigating potential wrongdoings by members of the CMS School Board and administration. Much of the investigation centers around the possible misuse of federal funds and other potential financial irregularities. I’m aware of at least 3 people that have been interviewed by the FBI. When contacted for statement, the office for the US Atty for Western NC said: “The U.S. Attorney’s Office and the FBI have had an active investigation related to Charlotte-Mecklenburg Schools. Because the investigation is ongoing, we cannot provide additional details at this time.” This raises questions about CMS leadership to a whole new level. There are now two criminal investigations into CMS. The SBI is also looking into possible violations of state law. That’s in addition to the NC State Auditor’s office and the state bchool board also looking into CMS.
