✔️ Approved the largest individual tax increase in the city's history.
✔️ Approved a tax increase for the first time in the city's history WITHOUT voter approval.

The city council doesn't have to bring a tax increase to the voters but historically any time taxes were raised the city council chose to bring it to the voters. This time around the city council chose to break the mold and take matters into their own hands.
And then they laughed about it.
How it was the first time they had a simultaneous seconding of a motion from multiple council members because they were all just so eager to pass it. Disgusting!
The only real Republican on the council was the only no vote.
