Police said in a statement that they believe the Santa Rosa house was targeted because it was once the home of Barry Brodd, a retired cop who testified last week at Chauvin’s murder trial in the death of George Floyd.
Police said they were called to the house shortly after 3 a.m. Saturday, and found a severed pig’s head on the front porch and blood smeared on the front of the house.
Cops also believe another vandalism attack about 45 minutes later was carried out by the same people.
In that incident, a statue of a large hand in front of Santa Rosa Plaza was found smeared with animal blood, with a sign reading, “Oink, oink” left at the scene
