On the other hand, is there a possibility we may NEED those military bases, sometime, in the not so distant future?? Ideological greed and lust for power and control over other countries, by some of the world's worst adversaries, does not just disappear into the stratusphere!
June, I am sure President Trump thought about that. His answer is clearly no, we don't need to maintain troops on countries that aren't real allies. Who needs an ally like Merz who lies when he says that Iran is humiliatimg the US with the way they negotiate with us? This could not be further from the truth. Think about how ridiculous this is. Iran is negotiating better than President Trump? Seriously?
You're probably right and I would hope you are; but I have spent most of my life alway questioning the "what if's"!!
We don't need those bases even if we get to be there for free. We are the strongest and biggest superpower and we don't need useless allies like Germany, Italy or Spain. As a matter of fact, we don't need any allies as we proved with Venezuela and Iran.Â
That will have an affect on those economies, and what do we do with them?
