Peaceful demonstrators do not show up at rallies with masks, wearing body armor...Ā helmets, vests, knee guards, and carrying clubs... if you want to know who the troublemakers are it easy enough to tell... hint they look like thugs, carry weapons and are dressed for combat.Ā Law enforcement needs to focus on them and remove them as quickly as they arrive.Ā Failure to do so leads to serious altercations, injuries, and preventable deaths.
In my training for riot control, the identification and isolation of violent members and their leaders was always a key element in controlling and keeping the assembly as peaceful as possible.Ā Men like Epps, who are seen giving orders or directing the crowd would be considered potential agents of concern and tagged for removal.Ā It appears that law enforcement failed to ID and isolate ANY of the violent members in the crowd.Ā It also appears that various ITEMS OF DRESS were being used by troublemakers to ID their groups.Ā Ā
My estimate of the effectiveness of the riot control police is that they were either stupid or deliberately enabling widespread chaos... and violence by SELECT IDENTIFIABLE Groups,.. and leadership.Ā The Police did not do what they are or were once trained to do... isolate and remove rioters and their leaders from the assembly.
