READING TO PUBLIC SCHOOL CHILDREN
MAKING A POSITIVE IMPACT ON CHILDREN
There has been a great deal of controversy about "drag queens" reading to elementary school students in very liberal jurisdictions, reading books that promote their perverted lifestyle. For a bit of good news, I have spent the last 6 years going to a public school that I will not name to read to first and second grade students. I attend church of Friday nights with a first grade teacher at this school and she first invited me to come read to her class around Veterans Day 6 years ago. It soon expanded to her also inviting me to read Dr. Seus books during the week of his birthday which was March 2. In the last couple of years the reading has expanded to other classes and this year included several second grade classes. I am an Army veteran and read about various military aspects, including the training, housing, and other aspects.
The kids are always thrilled to see ,me and show a great deal of respect and appreciation toward me. I served in Special Forces from 1968 to 1971 then spent one year as a reservist. The reception from the students, teachers, and faculty in general has been very good and I consider it both an honor and a privilege to be able to interact with the 5 and 6 year old kids. We regularly hear horror tales of children being groomed into perverted lifestyles, taught to hate each other based on skin color, and taught to hate America. I wanted to get this out so people will know that there are children being exposed to positive, patriotic aspects of American life. America is the greatest nation to ever exist and has the most compassionate and generous population existing on the face of the earth. When there is a disaster anywhere in the world it is American citizens that donate billions of their dollars and hundreds of hours of their time and labor to help those affected.
I remember when Hurricane Ian, I think it was, devastated the Gulf Coast, killing about 1300 people that moslems around the world celebrated and said "allah" was punishing the nation. A mere few weeks later a massive earthquake hit Pakistan killing an estimated 300,000 people. Americans, instead of gloating and celebrating, prayed for those affected and sent lots of money to refief organizations to help. Those who were able even traveled to Pakistan to hewlp in rescue and recovery operations. The difference in reactions could not be more clear.
I remember after a hurricane and an earthquake back to back that devastated Haiti a few years ago, Many American citizens jumped at the opportunity to donate money to help those devastated by natural disasters. bill and hillary clinton collected $500 million for relief aid but none of the money helped anyone but the clintons. Smart Americans donated to groups like Samaratan's purse, the organization started by Billy Graham and now led by his son, Franklin. ALL of that money went to help Haitians, providing shelter, food, water, and helping rebuild homes. Liberals hate and deride Christians but it is we who help others in need. The liberal left will collect money on the pretense of helping but use that money for their own personal benefit, as the clintons have done.
I know that one day these things will be judged by Almighty God who will reward those doing good and punish those doing wrong. Until then we can only do our best to do all we can to make America the best it can be and shine light on a dark world that desperately needs us to spread morality and humanity to others. It is too bad that the dark side has so much control over our nation, the mainstream media being the mouthpiece of evil, hollywood and most corporate board rooms being onboard with evil, and the federal and many state governments being controlled by people who hate America and the goodness for which it has always stood. The fact that I am welcome to share my patriotism and dedication to the American Dream is a tribute to school administrators, teachers, staff, and students in rural America, people who appreciate the values that have made America the greatest nation ever established in world history.
I submit this in the name of the Most Holy Trinity, in faith, with the responsibility given to me by Almighty God to honor His work and not let it die from neglect.

God bless you, Bob, for doing what you are doing. You exemplify the American Spirit and the American way, which may sound trite but it is anything but. May this nation be rebirthed in everything good and worthy, as you are exemplifying. When I was little, and walking to grade school by myself, one or two sat out on their small front stoop, and watched to make sure all the kids walking by were safe. It was a time when I could just go sit my little self down next to the one gentleman who was always watching out for all of us, and just chat a few minutes. Now, not so much. Kindness mattered and generosity of spirit. Neighbors looked out for neighbors. That's just how it was. All the time.
Jea, I remember those days. We used to ride our bicycles about 5 or 6 miles to a park, play all day, and get home before dark. We had to be home before dark because we had to cross very busy streets and our parents were concerned about us being hit ny a car while crossing, never a worry about us being kidnapped or sexually assaulted. Today it is much more dangerous for children.
