Yep, and this model from the California Democrat machine has been sucessfully adopted by the the states of Minnesota, Washington and even Maine. Accountability is coming, but only if we replace the grifters and power seekers through the primary process. We only lose when good people do nothing, so keep fighting at the local level, as that is where all of these con artists have established their political power base.
This is not uncommon for a politician in DC. Just about every one of them makes money on the stock market and money from lobbyists. Martha Stewart went to jail for insider trading, but not those in government. They know what is going to happen with the economy, the stock market, and the bills that will affect all of them. By law, members of Congress cannot engage in insider trading, but they may disclose it to their spouses, who can then invest. The congressperson can say, "I did not do any insider trading", but they will never say their spouses can't do it. They all have Leadership PACs. If a person puts money in that Leadership PAC, the individual Congressperson can use that money on anything they want, a new car, house, vacation, college funds, etc., and it's all legal. So much for election reform. A joke.
NoSlack, this does not apply to every politician in DC. For one, President Trump is not making any money at all while he is in office. Neither does anyone who works in his administration.
In spite of all Trump is doing I'm afraid this country is toast!!!
