I was at one of the busiest early voting sites in NC every day, and at one of the busiest precincts on Election Day, here in Union County. I saw a lot of young Hispanic voters, especially young Hispanic women. Many came to the polls looking at ballots that had been sent to them by text. The same thing was reported at multiple precincts across the county. One young woman ended up voting with us. She told our team she had gotten texts many times these past couple months telling her to vote against Republicans so her family wouldn't be deported. Let that sink in. People were being scared into their vote. That's not right, no matter who it helps. Immigration was only one reason we lost. But fear was used, and we have to do a better job of reaching families with the truth.
