  • The states filed on the incorrect point of law... it should have sued to get the country to follow the statutory law... to act immediately... to deport based on the statutory law, not on executive orders or regulatory authority that violates the statutes.  It appears the case was thrown by the state's attorneys. Surprise, surprises liberal attorneys throw a case to keep illegals in the country.

The merits of the law were not contested... the statutory law is clear... the  Federal governmetn is to deport those who arrive without lawful merit to claim entry...  visa, refuge status, or amnesty,

To lose a case for standing demonstrates that the case was filed improperly... and the attorneys involved need to be FIRED.... they either threw the case. or are incompetent.

    • P/S...

A large ... very large number of immigration attorneys would be out of work if the current immigration policy were to conform to the statutory law... immediate deportation... no hearing, no constitutional right to an attorney, etc.  Nah!  NO pettifogger would take government money to defend an illegal alien's case to remain in the USA... Nah! That would be worse than chasing an ambulance to file an injury case.

    • We would be a lot better off with fewer attorneys. Law schools rank about as badly as medical schools. And now with WOKE as the number one admission requirement, they will get even worse.

    • Words Have Meaning

What are words but the jealous rendition of man’s imagination… laid bare for the world to see. It is with words that we pontificate the ways of men, to establish governments and laws. It is with words that we build up and tear down… it is with the power of the pen that we turn swords into plow shares and redirect the power of mankind to a better purpose.

Hence, let our words speak of liberty and defend the cause of justice… for without liberty and justice we are but prisoners of tyranny and the lesser angels of mankind. Let us exalt the rhetoric of peace and love… let us embrace the soundness and eloquence of truth… that we may all have peace and prosperity, purchased with the sweat of our own labor and endeavors.

For, the wicked speak words of deceit… looking to confuse and destroy the rational minds of our Nation with folly… foolish dreams of utopian delights… where no man need work or struggle for self, but every man becomes part of the collective, a mere cog in the machinery of the State…

Words have meaning and the words of our President cut sharply across the grains of liberty… denying our heritage and promising the foolish what they can not have… Another’s property, labor, and self-worth. Those are innately the rightful dominion of the individual…not the State or the collective  It is the evil machinations of a government that seeks to bind us all, to itself… A collective driven by an evil wind. Freedom is not free and for the free to remain free they must be prepared to resist the bitter nature of mankind… first with words but never alone… words must be backed by action… or they are but sounding brass and tinkling bells, the stories of children, impetus vessels of little worth. alone.

    • Some paint with color, some paint with light, and you, Colonel, paint with words. Beautiful.

However, on the down note, there is this:

Community colleges have done away with remedial writing class requirements.

      https://ctmirror.org/2014/03/06/changing-remedial-college-courses-l...

And law schools, had to institute remedial writing.

      https://www.legalwritingjournal.org/article/25219-the-struggle-with...

And before I was pushed out of my college teaching career during the plandemic, when the WOKE President of the college championed the "goal of increased literacy in our largely Appalation population." Next thing I heard, one of the largest, or the largest—so, likely Psych, met, and lowered the standards on all of their standardized exams, so it would look like literacy was increasing.

When there is no ground left for truth and morality, it is all a "Rich Man's Trick," which begins a race to the bottom and that is exactly where we are now—dumpster diving, and calling it literacy and equivalent standards.  Like the jxx that was not a v axx, this is a lie, also. One decade ago the new-ish trend was to not spend $$$$$ on a 4-year school or university. Now the 2-yr schools are running downward just as fast. Oh, lest I forget, the Pronoun Conference that was well-attended by over 450 faculty and staff. My name was missing, however. And then, I was out. Well, 3 yrs later.
