This will be widely ignored, unlike the Ahmaud Arbery case.
An 18-person mob, with a great deal of diversity among its ranks, has been charged with organizing a five-car caravan to shoot a New Jersey detective who was investigating a home invasion.
New Jersey investigators announced the arrest on Friday, and one alleged perpetrator still remains at large. They reportedly targeted Detective Richard Hershey of the New Jersey State Police. They allegedly targeted him outside of a mobile home in Pittsgrove Township on Apr. 25 at 10:40 p.m.
Hershey reportedly introduced himself as a police officer while investigating a home invasion in Harding Woods Mobile Home Park that happened on the same day. Moments later, he was shot in the leg and critically wounded, according to law enforcement sources.
Bridgeton residents Najzeir ‘Naz’ Hutchings, 21; Tremaine M. Hadden, 27; and Kareen ‘Kai’ Warner Jr, 19, have all been apprehended and charged with aggravated assault on a police officer, attempted murder, and weapons offenses. Another suspect, Colby Opperman, 18, also of Bridgeton, has been apprehended and charged with unlawful possession of a weapon.
The alleged home invasion crime took place at approximately 6:15 p.m. when five women reportedly barged their way inside of a woman’s mobile home and beat her brutally. The perpetrators allegedly stole her iPhone and left her with a lacerated lung and a broken rib as a result of the vicious beat-down.
The suspects arrested for that case include Yomari Lazu, 43; Jazmin Valentin, 32; Maria Betancourt, 39; Iramari Lazu, 22; and Mayra Roblero, 52. All the suspects hail from Bridgeton except Betancourt, who is from Vineland. They have received charges of first-degree robbery, second-degree conspiracy to commit robbery, second-degree aggravated assault, third-degree burglary, and third-degree conspiracy to commit burglary.
The additional individuals who have been identified as apart of the mob responsible for Hershey’s shooting include Ashley Diaz-Acevedo, 22; Melissa Romero, 22; Noel Lazu, 20; Markese Rogers, 25; Aisha McArthur, 25; Rovell L. McArthur Jr, 26; Jenislen Quiles, 19; Shakeem Waters, 31; Thomas Nieves III, 30; and Chavana Diaz, 22. Only Waters remains at large.
This story has not received nearly as much press as the shooting death of Ahmaud Arbery, the supposed “jogger” who was fatally wounded during a citizens arrest in Georgia back in February:
A Georgia father and son have been arrested after the publication of a video depicting a shooting the two men were involved in. Gregory and Travis McMichael were arrested at their home in Brunswick, Georgia on Friday night.
The McMichaels had been involved in the shooting of an area man named Ahmaud Arbery in February, video of which was recently published and inspired demands for the men’s arrest. The McMichaels confronted Arbery in their neighborhood on the basis of several burglaries that had occurred in the area. During an interaction in which the armed men attempted to perform a citizens’ arrest on Arbery, an altercation ensued in which Arbery was shot and killed.
The video of the incident only became public earlier this week, and depicts a confrontation in detail. The McMichaels had been initially cleared of criminal repercussions by a Glynn County prosecutor, who argued the men were engaging in a legal citizens’ arrest of a criminal suspect. Critics of the McMichaels have accused them of reckless and belligerent vigilantism, accosting a jogger who was unarmed in their neighborhood with a shotgun and a .357 revolver.
Graphic video of the incident can be seen here.
The Georgia Bureau of Investigation began its own investigation into the incident following the publication of the video on Tuesday, which contrasted with alleged original police claims that Arbery had been shot and killed inside a residence during an attempted burglary.
Because this story cannot be exploited in an anti-white narrative, it will likely fall by the wayside and not receive the national coverage it deserves. Cops lives simply do not matter in the eyes of the biased fake news media.
