My congressman Moore supported this bill. I have informed him that I will not vote him in 2024. And he is a republican.
McCarthy has managed to help the RINOs and deamoncrats to pass and now continue the out of control perverted socialist spending. He needes to be replaced with a conservative speaker.
Why allow anyone to slide????? If they aren't doing what they were elected to do then get them out!
Here is the problem the we don't have the votes to unseat McCarthy. Then who are you going to put in in his place?? Another Rhino??
No BUT he desen't have to be re-elected in 2024, California voters MUST stand up and vote him out of office. If the House doesn't vacate him, then it is up to California voters.
We have a lot of good choices. Steve Scalise, Byron Donalds...for two. How do you know we don't have the votes?
My concern as well, Joe. And, another problem-- thanks to the public brouhaha creatred by Gaetz's public posturing, Nancy Pelosi and other prominent Democrats have started piling on, so, unseating McCarthy just got even harder. Gaetz should be treating this mission as a family business dispute best fought behind closed doors, away from the biased eye of the media. There, he can turn the screws on McCarthy sans the foodfight. Squabbling from the pulpit creates the risk of McCarthy winning by a non-unanimous decision, bloodied up and even weaker in 2024. I agree-- Gaetz may not have the votes to exile McCarthy. This battle of wits could leave Republicans looking even more feeble next year, if that's even possible.
UPDATE: Speculation is growing that the GOP's RINO flank will push the Gaetz initiative to the House "Rules Committee," effectively rendering it DOA.
