BS... one can easily fix a broken budget... get a large box of erasers a few gallons of whiteout and take the current CR to the woodshed. Viola, when one comes out ... what's left of the CR is the balanced budget. However, be sure to bring an oversized trash can with you and some matches just in case one needs to burn down a few institutional backstops to bring in a budget.
The problem is not TIME... they have a whole year and in most cases, decades of testimony and solutions.. pick one... pick two... oh, heck pick 3... print it up... should take fewer than a few hundred pages... put the new bill to a vote and if it fails to pass... Immediately ask for a list from each member what they would CUT... and hold them in session until the cuts total enough to balance the budget...
Then, offer the former failed appropriations bill together with the new and improved member cut-and-paste bill for a vote... if nothing passes. Recall a joint session of Congress...do the same thing again. When nothing passes, inform the President that he must shut down the government... adjourn Congress, and go home. Stay home until government revenue is sufficient to pay the debt and fund a new year of government is on hand in the Treasury... That should take 10 years or more. In the meantime, the states and local government can run the Republic..

If Johnson brings a CR like the one presented last time... he needs to be removed... no questions asked ... throw him out... and keep it up until Congress gets the message no more runaway Appropriations Bills... BALANCE THE BUDGET... cut all the give me programs and tell those on them the FREE LUNCH programs are OVER... its pay as we go.... with a good portion of the current revenue paid on the existing debt.
Bring heavy and light industry back to the USA... end the wage wars with third-world slaves... tell the megacorps to sell their goods to their workers and look for 100% and more tariffs on their goods and services.
Open up Drilling for oil and natural gas... Renegotiate all existing leases of federal lands to ensure the PUBLIC is receiving the Lion's share of our natural resourses and the wealth it generates. Mandate leases be developed and under full production within a year of being granted or the lease may be revoked and given to those who will bring the field into production.
Reform the EPA... to assist US companies in identifying and using best practices when producing their products. End the environmental terrorism of our heavy and light industries. Double or triple the number of REFINERIES IN THE US. If the major oil companies will not expand refining capacity... let the government operate refineries to supply our Military, and all government demands... from the well to the government user... take them out of the retail competition for refined oil products. Stop the BS over building refineries and know that limited refined petrolium products are not in the CONSUMER's INTEREST.
Use the Anti-Trust and monopoly laws to break up majo'r energy and agroindustry... they are rigging the markets through collusion and price fixing... that must stop. Stop paying farmers for non-protection... putting land in the federal land banks... being paid not to produce. Return free markets to the petrolium and agroindustry.
Terrif the 'H' out of heavy and light industry foreign products... steel, metals, tool and die, foundry products and other KEY heavy and light industrial products... INCLUDING COMPUTER and other high-tech products, programs, and services... keep our high-tech companies local.
Kickstart heavy and light industry by offering 2 years of no federal taxes for returning capitol investments to the USA proper... 5 years for building new production plants and or a complete retooling and technical update of a plant. Provide incentives to stay in the US and to build ... baby build... build a new and modern manufacturing base with good paying jobs... for everyone.
Make it near impossible to take critical manufacturing out of the US... by requiring the owners to PAY 80% of the existing workers' salary, until they are reemployed at a salary equal to the salary in the job they lost. Germany does this now... and capitalism is doing just fine there.
I would remind everyone that PUBLIC OWNED AND TRADED COMPANIES are not the private enterprises of the majority stockholders... our system of government and commerce provides huge benefits to publically traded corporations... Hence, they should be publically responsible ... many of their workers own shares in publicly traded corporations... including, where they are employed.

Someone has to tell the Public.. push has come to shove... and the cupboards are bare. There is no more free lunch. Period. Uncle Sam and his money tree have both passed away. We must pay as we go.
Every welfare and public assistance program must be cut deeply cut... Many will be phased out and ended. The message America must send to its citizens is GET A JOB and live responsibly.
Confiscatory tax rates and MONETARY POLICY... are robbing the poor and middle class of any wealth they may have managed to acquire. It is unconscionable to use monetary easing to reach into the pockets of the retired and hard-working members of society to rob them of their life savings and equity in any property they may have... It is criminal to tell them YOU WILL OWN NOTHING AND HAVE NOTHING AND LIKE IT... as Pres. Obama once stated.
Our members of Congress and the captains of commerce.. all know this and could care less as they are in positions that insulate them from the coming storm... They in fact may ride out the storm and come out more wealthy than they are now... as they leverage their privilege and position to reap huge sums at another's expense.
Once again, I'm puzzled. You say "Every welfare and public assistance program must be cut deeply cut". I agree with that 100%. The biggest items in this category are social security, Medicare and Medicaid. We need to cut them drastically, as you say now, but at other times you argue that we need to keep those. Cutting other welfare programs won't do the trick. They are too small.
We really need to get President Trump back into the White House. He would work very well with Speaker Johnson, who is totally loyal to Trump no questions asked. We would cut welfare programs and taxes. We would have the budget balanced or be on our way to a balanced budget just like we were during Trump's first term. Every American remembers the great economy and great budget situation under Trump. We the people want more of it!
