The State Department on Tuesday expressed concerns over the makeup of the new interim Afghan government announced by the Taliban, including the lack of female leaders and the past actions of some of those appointed to top posts.
A State Department spokesperson said in a statement shared with The Hill that although the Taliban “has presented this as a caretaker cabinet,” the U.S. “will judge the Taliban by its actions, not words.”
“We have made clear our expectation that the Afghan people deserve an inclusive government,” the spokesperson added.
The statement went on to note that the list of names announced by the Taliban earlier Tuesday “consists exclusively of individuals who are members of the Taliban or their close associates and no women.”
The announced leaders come after the Taliban last month specifically called on women to join government offices in an apparent attempt to portray itself as a more moderate version of the group that previously enforced extreme laws on women and girls, including preventing them from going to school and barring them from leaving their homes unless they were accompanied by a man.

I am only surprised that old Joe has not nominated a member of the Taliban to his Cabinet to further illustrate his love of diversity. Yet, I suppose there's still time.
The term 'Dumb ass' may assign more intelligence than the entire Biden Administraion can muster... Anyone familiar with strict Islamic law knows WOMEN are barred from having ANY AUTHORITY OVER MEN... they may not participate in government. How Biden and the Secretary of state misunderstood that concept only demonstrates just how far gone Biden is and how uninformed and unqualified the Secretary of State is when it comes to dealing with Islamic Nations and organizations.
Sharia Law treats all women as the CHATEL PROPERTY of their fathers or Husbands. That should have been known. One has to ask what other major tenants of Islam are they unaware of... like Islamic governments and their citizens are told by the Koran to lie to infidels (Kaffirs). Or, that Kaffirs are to be treated as slaves. The state department should have known that our CItizens would need LARGE SUMS OF CASH to transit thru Taliban checkpoints, as they attempted to get to Bagram airport. All Kaffers are only permitted to live or transit Islamic lands if they pay a TAX called 'Jizya'. How this tax was ignored by the State Department is beyond me... The State Department experts obviously need to be fired. Could it be they are living in an alternative universe the creation of their own definitions and expectations regarding ISLAM... they are not a nation or religion of peace. They are commanded to subdue the Earth and to either convert or kill all Kaffirs.
I don't believe that the Biden Administration knows who or what they are dealing with when it comes to devout Muslims and Islamic Law they have swallowed their own warped version of Islam as a religion of peace. In fact, our Congress is importing Muslims who live by Sharia and will force it on everyone as quickly as they can. The hardline Muslim doesn't compromise his faith or Sharia Law. Islam is not compatible with any other form of government or culture... it is ISLAM, slavery/Jizya tax, or off with the Kaffir's head.

I will offer only this small additional bit of information to what Col. Nelson posted.
And that is this: Barack Obama is well aware of Sharia Law. Since Biden acted as VP under Obama for eight years while he played president, It is pretty certain that he also learned some do's and dont's concerning Sharia. Plus, Valerie Jarrett was there to assist in the transforming of America effort, that by the way is continuing to this very day and gaining momemtum due to the Afghan debacle.
The point is that Biden does as he is instructed to do. Biden is not the one in charge, not the one who formulates policy, not the one commanding the military, and functions only as he is instructed. He even slips up and openly states this fact.
The State Department is play acting as well.
