What started as a street takeover attempt early this morning in the Woodward High School area ended very differently than the organizers probably expected.
Officers from multiple agencies responded when a CPD Officer called for assistance after roughly 75 vehicles blocked the roadway and refused to disperse. Instead of the usual chaos, the response was coordinated and decisive.
Two prisoner transport wagons and 18 cruisers were used to move those taken into custody. The impound lot even had to recall additional staff because of the sheer number of vehicles being towed.
And here’s the most glorious part…every single one of the arrested subjects was accepted by the Hamilton County Justice Center.
Now we’ll see what happens on the courtroom side.
Outstanding work by the Officers who responded and restored order before things could spiral into something far worse.
Let’s hope the courts are paying attention.
