Almost half of recent college graduates are not 'emotionally' prepared to survive in the workplace, while a majority of those in their 20s feel 'burnt out' at least once a week.

These were the bombshell findings from a new survey of America's young professionals, which concluded that the next generation of workers aren't equipped to handle a regular 9-5.

The survey, conducted by the Mary Christie Institute, unearthed numerous shocking statistics, including that 51 percent of young workers needed help for mental health issues within the past year.

Young professionals also offered a damning verdict on the role of colleges in preparing them for their careers, slating their university experience for failing to prime them to enter office life

The think tank said their data demonstrates that 'once in the workplace, young people continue to struggle mentally and emotionally'.

The survey, which sampled 1005 people aged between 22 to 28 who achieved at least a bachelor's degree, was intended to gauge how young adults are coping in the modern workplace.

But the results weren't promising, with young professionals who are supposed to be in their prime instead reporting more anxiety, higher levels of burnout and increased financial stress.

Of the 51 percent of respondents who said they needed help for their mental health struggles in the last year, 43 percent suffered from anxiety and 31 percent from depression.

  • That means, they never grew up and are unable to join society.

  • MAYBE OLE JOE ought to reconsider paying off those student loans if they cant hold a job why bother to pay off their loans, The taxpayers should get something for their money The very least they could do is try to get a job and show a little graditude, But maybe they just want to skip out on everything and let the government take care of them, But once we run out of everyones money they may be in trouble POOR LITTLE CREAM PUFFS, I feel so sorry for them , Work is so difficult and earning a paycheck is just not that important for them. If these people are an example of the nations future WE ARE IN SERIOUS TROUBLE.

  • Ever since the left discovered that they can manipulate social behavior and outcomes using the wizardry of the pseudo-science called Psychology the demand for counseling has exploded. Stub your toe, meet a white male heterosexual in a narrow hallway, step on a crack, or challenge one's sexual identity and one is likely to immediately get a referral to a psychologist for therapy and counseling.

Since the advent of the Bob Newhart show in the 70s and psychologies coming of age in popular TV programs such as Dr. Phil... counseling ... once the purview of the Church... has landed squarely in the lap of the oft-questionable advice of psychologists, and a hand full of pharmaceuticals. It is little wonder that Universities and public education have created a myopic and neurotic society full of dependent personalities needing the coaching of the modern psychologist.

We no longer prepare our children for reality.. offering instead, a diet of waco-left wing psychology and social engineering at the heart of public education. Our children know more about cucumbers, prophylactics, and gender dysphoria than how to function in the workplaces of American industry and its traditional labor and professional job markets. We have destroyed the traditional work ethic and our youth's ability to think critically... too, as the Marine Corps teaches... adapt and improvise.

Asking today's youth to color outside the lines or to adapt to new surroundings without a lot of hands-on assistance is becoming more and more difficult. Employers are finding the youth of today unprepared for work. Most expect a wide range of accommodations to be made by their new employer and when it doesn't happen they become confrontational and or leave. The Days of Our Lives, a once popular TV series has become a nightmare for many... employers and employees.

  • Yeah Mike just hope they don't get somebody  else killed cause they are being a wuss.

  • Several years in the US Military will force them to be emotionally mature.

    • Not anymore... basic trainees are given 'Stress Cards' and when they feel challenged beyond their ability to cope... they give their Drill INstructoer their stress card and they receive time out and personal coaching to cope with the situation.  The days of the Drill Instructor screaming and badgering trainees to simulate combat stress are over... they court-martial such activity.

Today's Army is WOKE... spending more time on social engineering goals than combat skills... CRT is a big issue and the rooting out of white supremecy from the ranks is a major project...However, a clear definition of white supremacy in the Military is problematic at its best.

  • Yes Buckle up Buttercup!!!  Welcome to the Real World!!!  Don't get your Feelings Hurt!!!  LOL!! HA, HA!!

  • They aren't emotionally ready! Ha, they are nothing but emotional, their entire lives are based on emotion.....that's why they are such a mess, no common sense, just emotions all over the place.

    • 100% correct!

    • Most of them are on drugs for depression, they don't know how to take regection, or even correction, they have no self discipline, they resent authority......after all, no one can tell them, teach them, suggest to them anything........they are brilliant, that's what they have been told their entire life. Dealing with any of them is like herding cats, their attention span is that of a fly.....god help a child that has to call any of them their parent (or birthing person).
