The mob succeeded in defacing the statue of Andrew Jackson in Lafayette Square and spray-painting on St. John’s Church, a structure the mob set fire to several weeks ago, near the White House. The mob failed in the attempt to drag down Jackson’s likeness. They failed on Monday. On Tuesday? Wednesday? Six Saturdays from now?
American Taliban
Why did the mob tear down a statue of St. Junipero Serra in San Francisco? Because he helped found California. Why did they remove a statue of Francis Scott Key? Because he wrote the lyrics to the national anthem. Why do crackpots demand that the baseball team outside of Dallas change its Texas Rangers name? Because they wish to separate Texans from their heritage. Why did vandals in Rochester, New York, deface a statue of Nathaniel Rochester? Because the Revolutionary War fighter represents local history. These folks seek to disappear more than names and statues. They want to erase American history. Doing this allows them to more easily control the future.
Jesus Is in Good Company
“Yes, I think the statues of the white European they claim is Jesus should also come down,” Shaun King, a “black” activist with two white parents on his birth certificate, tweets. “They are a form of white supremacy.” King, who surely knows something about passing as someone of another race, ironically argues that Jesus looked more Egyptian than European. He added in another tweet, “All murals and stained glass windows of white Jesus, and his European mother, and their white friends should also come down. They are a gross form white supremacy.”
None Dare Call It Socialism
“We will be doing another stimulus package,” Donald Trump told Scripps Network reporter Joe St. George. “It’ll be very good. It’ll be very generous.” Generosity, which means “readiness or liberality in giving,” traditionally applies to people who give from their own stock. Applying the word to people eager to give away money that does not belong to them strikes as a misunderstanding of the term. Donald Trump does not pay for it. The American people do through paying off the debt both directly and as a result of its monetization.
Moral Courage > Physical Courage
The only son of the most famous African American to ever walk planet Earth says his father would oppose Black Lives Matter. “It’s not just black lives matter—white lives matter, Chinese lives matter, all lives matter, everybody’s life matters,” Muhammad Ali Jr. told The New York Post. “God loves everyone — he never singled anyone out. Killing is wrong no matter who it is.” A white, Louisville policeman famously introduced the future three-time heavyweight champion to boxing at 12 after he fumed when thieves stole his bicycle. Ali Jr. says he has never experienced any mistreatment from cops. “They’re no different from Muslim terrorists,” Ali Jr., a Muslim, says of Antifa. “They should all get what they deserve. They’re f–king up businesses, beating up innocent people in the neighborhood, smashing up police stations, and shops. They’re terrorists — they’re terrorizing the community. I agree with the peaceful protests, but the Antifa, they need to kill everyone in that thing.”
