And there you have it, folks. The day after the runoff- GA Republicans bounce- which is only possible with the Governor's approval. This was pre-planned- and no, that's not speculation. We received a call on June 4th from a reliable source who let us know that this was the secret plan and that the Governor would give lawmakers a pass for failing to attend.
But BEWARE- and mark this post. Although redistricting is the shiny thing, the July 1, 2026 statutory deadline for removal of the QR code from the ballot remains on GA's special session agenda. The SOS has gone to great lengths to preserve the status quo and keep the QR code. With Republicans bailing- the SOS and Dems will get just that- An unpatched voting system with major security faults, and QR coded votes that cannot be verified by the voter (in violation of federal law (HAVA)) for the November Election.
But that's not all folks- The good people of Georgia will get a $150M appropriation for a new ES&S voting system that will fill out your ballot for you. Yes, only six years after taking out a 20-year bond to pay for Georgia's current $125M voting system.
The sad part? Georgia can simply get rid of the BMDs and use hand marked paper ballots with the existing system -as everyone else in the country uses it. And they can do it tomorrow. For nothing. So, Georgia lawmakers have been tasked with spending $150M to fill out your ovals for you- that's the only thing it does. But only after the November Election.
The special session for redistricting was always a ruse. Kemp was pressured by other states calling a special session to correct the district lines for this election. Kemp pulled a bait and switch by calling a special session- to redraw- not for the mid-term election- but for 2028. It's obvious on its face- why would one call a special session for something that can be easily done during next year's session?
Well, it's the old Georgia two-step- to appear to do something without doing anything.
