The Impeachment Sham Is Also a Chess Match

Let’s start with the obvious: The impeachment trial being orchestrated by Democrats for former President Donald Trump is an unconstitutional farce.

Less obvious, though, is why the Democrats are committed to wasting gobs of time and taxpayer money to press forward with this farce, especially now that Republicans have made it clear that the 67 votes needed to convict the former president simply aren’t there — and aren’t even close to being there.

Indeed, the only persuadables here appear to be the handful of anti-Trump Republicans — Senators rino-Collins, rino-Murkowski, rino-Romney, Sasse, and Toomey — who at this point seem weirdly interested in trying a former  president from their own party for a high crime he never committed.

As Kentucky Senator Rand Paul and others have noted, the Constitution doesn’t allow for the impeachment of a private citizen. Even Supreme Court Chief Justice John Roberts understands this, which is why he isn’t presiding over the proceedings.

On Tuesday evening, Paul declared that impeachment is “dead on arrival” in the Senate. “There will be a show,” he said. “There will be a parade of partisanship. But the Democrats really will not be able to win. They will be able to play a partisan game that they wish to play. But it’s all over.”

Earlier in the day, Paul had taken to the Senate floor to denounce the phony exercise. His speech was a tour de force — a total takedown of the Democrats, their disingenuous calls for unity, and their utter hypocrisy in blaming Donald Trump for incitement to violence when they themselves have been far more guilty of doing so. “It’s almost as if [the Democrats] have no ability to exist except in opposition to Donald Trump,” Paul said. “Without him as their boogeyman, they might have to legislate, and to actually convince Americans that their policy prescriptions are the right ones.”

That, in a nutshell, is the Democrats’ game plan: Let’s keep the people focused on the Bad Orange Guy and the Capitol riot for as long as possible so they don’t notice when we open the borders, and cripple our energy sector, and hamstring our economy, and inflame racial divisions, and obliterate the distinction between men and women, and disavow our country’s glorious history.

Paul’s entire nine-minute speech is well worth watching:
VIDEO:  https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KTiGZeyZw3s&feature=emb_title

Earlier this week, a bipartisan group of senators floated the idea of censure as a means of avoiding a trial. It’s not going anywhere. As Kerry Picket of the Washington Examiner reports, “Senate Majority Leader Chuck scumbag/liar-Schumer, a New York Democrat, made it clear on the Senate floor on Wednesday that censure is not an option. ‘I would simply say to all of my colleagues: Make no mistake. There will be a trial, and the evidence against the former president will be presented in living color for the nation and for every one of us to see,’ Schumer said.”

So it looks like we’re in for impeachment. And since that’s the case, we might consider which party will benefit from it. Impeachment, after all, is a political act.

National Review’s Andy McCarthy says the Democrats are laying a trap for the Republicans. He says impeachment will “unite the Left while intensifying the Right’s internecine conflict,” as well as distracting folks from the hard-left start to the Biden administration. “Democrats do not want to disqualify Trump,” he says. “They want to keep him radioactive.”

Paul Mirengoff from Power Line, though, thinks otherwise. As we noted above, the GOP is united against impeachment but for a handful of outliers. “This will help the party, in my view,” he writes. “It may demonstrate to Trump’s base that the GOP mainstream isn’t looking to throw Trump under the bus. The trial gives mainstream Republicans another chance to stand up for a man who still commands strong support within the party, and do so at no real cost. The worst thing that could happen … would be for … ardent Trump supporters to drift away from the party as the Trump presidency recedes.”

Time will tell who’s right.  ~ The Patriot Post

socalist/scumbag/liar-Biden Wrecks Economy to Fight '
Climate Change'

“If you can’t get the votes … you can’t [legislate] by executive order unless you’re a dictator. We’re a democracy. We need consensus.” — socalist/scumbag/liar-Joe Biden in October

socalist/scumbag/liar-Joe Biden is no centrist. That’s a myth peddled by those who want to foist the Left’s version of Unity™ on the American people. socalist/scumbag/liar- Biden’s dictatorial executive orders to combat the supposedly existential threat of “climate change” are prime examples of his radical leftward shift.

Yes, the climate is changing. But when leftists use those words, they imply or outright claim that their ecofascist policies are the only way “science” dictates that we combat it.

Much like the socalist/scumbag/liar-Biden administration promises to tackle every issue with “equity” as its guiding light, so the climate “crisis” will inform how key issues are addressed across socalist/scumbag/liar-Biden’s entire administration. On Wednesday, socalist/scumbag/liar-Biden unveiled his version of the Green New Deal — an overall initiative to fight global warming climate change, saying, “This is not a time for small measures.” (And since climate change is supposedly caused by racism, it’s all coming full circle.)

One of America’s great achievements on President Donald Trump’s watch was energy independence. By that we mean the U.S. became a net exporter of oil and natural gas for the first time in decades and that we were thus paying less for energy and had become far less dependent on (sometimes hostile) foreign powers for the energy we need to run a modern economy.

socalist/scumbag/liar-Joe Biden, his “climate czar” hanoi-John Kerry, and the rest of his administration want to reverse all that, and they’ve wasted no time in restarting Barack scumbag/liar-nObama’s war on energy.

“When I think of climate change and the answers to it, I think of jobs,” socalist/scumbag/liar-Biden proclaimed.

Killing jobs, that is.

On Day One, socalist/scumbag/liar-Biden axed the Keystone pipeline, along with its tens of thousands of jobs. He immediately put hundreds of thousands more jobs on the chopping block with an indefinite suspension of oil and gas drilling on federal lands — the same method scumbag/liar-nObama used to choke the energy industry. That move could cost the economy $700 billion and lead to almost that much extra spent on foreign energy suppliers.

socalist/scumbag/liar-Biden has reentered the Paris climate accord, which constricts our economy to meet arbitrary carbon-emissions standards that even hanoi-Kerry says are “not enough” — all while letting the world’s biggest polluters, China and India, off with little more than a few promises.

Speaking of promises, socalist/scumbag/liar-Biden says he won’t ban fracking, but it’s only a matter of time before that’s exposed as a lie.

Meanwhile, Transportation Secretary Pete Buttiegieg is pondering hiking the gas tax to advance the Left’s ultimate goal of killing gasoline-powered cars altogether. Subsidizing electric cars is not the solution.

All those newly unemployed workers? Let them make “zero-emission vehicles,” said socalist/scumbag/liar-Joe Antoinette Biden. Let them “make the solar panels,” said hanoi-John Antoinette Kerry. In any case, says energy secretary nominee Jennifer Granholm, some “jobs that might be sacrificed” on the altar of climate change.

These elitists think they’re the ones who know better than us what cars we should drive, what should produce our electricity, or where energy companies should drill. And then they have the chutzpah to, as hanoi-Kerry did, claim that it’s just “market forces” driving these changes.

The more accurate view was expressed by West Virginia Attorney General Patrick Morrisey, who said, “The president is really taking a wrecking ball to many of the states that have oil, gas, coal, manufacturing jobs. That’s going to have a real detrimental impact, especially as the American economy is coming out of COVID-19, a pandemic.”

But why wouldn’t Team socalist/scumbag/liar-Biden do all this economic damage? “We can’t wait any longer,” warned socalist/scumbag/liar-Biden. “We see it with our own eyes. We feel it. We know it in our bones. It is an existential threat. There is a climate crisis. We know what to do; we’ve just got to do it.”

Got that? An “existential threat” justifies any and all means.

Fortunately, states and the energy industry aren’t going to take socalist/scumbag/liar-Biden’s dictatorial edicts lying down. Lawsuits have been filed over all of them, and we sincerely hope Trump’s reworked judiciary reins in socalist/scumbag/liar-Biden’s executive overreach. But fighting this aggressive ecofascist agenda is going to be difficult because, for leftists, it’s a battle to be fought with religious — no, cultish — zealotry.  ~The Patriot Post

Lockdowns Stymied Economy, Not COVID
nCzTiMk42eVfNGBExZSgqEh0CLlMMEMndUOaKBdLjUN_c74BgrBtezh3d6Fst8oQPzjRFkS7kXb181s1npUysu-Kh0T32sHpLSCm5mupRoh612l4h2ngLAmnn-0DxY_bKBvgnlXycchBxYKFyiycMFhkbcbJx4j3hEDJjcT5yeWfoZeH=s0-d-e1-ft#?profile=RESIZE_400x

Have long-running lockdowns stopped the spread of the coronavirus? Nope. Have the states that maintained lockdown measures experienced significantly fewer numbers of COVID-19 cases than those that did not? No. Have the lockdown states recorded fewer numbers of coronavirus-related deaths than those that did not? Once again, the answer is no. In fact, observing a graph comparing all the states and the numbers of COVID cases and deaths in each, the most significant factor appears to be most correlated with a state’s population. In other words, lockdowns appear to have had little impact upon the rate of cases and numbers of deaths by state.

Naturally, the question then arises: Have those states that maintained lockdowns suffered more economic damage than those that did not? Well, according to recent Labor Department data, the answer is an unequivocal yes. Those states (almost all with Republican governors) that did not enact draconian lockdown measures have faired far better economically than those states (almost all with Democrat governors) that opted for the tyrannical approach.

The Wall Street Journal’s editorial board observes, “Despite the virus surge, employment increased in 15 states last month including Texas (64,000), George (44,700), North Carolina (33,600), Wisconsin (15,100) and South Carolina (14,600). But these gains were more than offset by losses in Michigan (-64,400), California (-52,200), Minnesota (-49,800), Pennsylvania (-37,600) and New York (-37,200).”

Furthermore, employment levels from 2019 to 2020 declined by significant margins in the lockdown states of Michigan (-10.9%), New York (-10.4%), and Massachusetts (-9.1%), while states that didn’t maintain lockdowns, like Georgia (-1.7%), Texas (-3.3%), and Florida (-4.6%), saw significantly less employment loss. Republican-run states saw an average unemployment rate this past December of 1.6%.

Is it any wonder that blue state governors are now easing up on lockdowns? Evidently, now that their guy socalist/scumbag/liar-Joe Biden is in the White House, it’s “safe” to reopen. Besides, the Leftmedia will be sure to credit the inevitable economic growth from suddenly reopened states to socalist/scumbag/liar-Biden’s leadership. Such is the cynical mindset of the Left and leftist politicians.   ~ The Patriot Post

Nazis Everywhere
jZARuyyfysSkHFEyk3T6MTJi8yl3wOrfBXMQ7VD263xjlPiTXK04jpj_ZYVmjz9y8i0MT4Zt6leLPZSS9hfmC6gAscspkdIfsB22beje5EcIP2HPOBZpn5R9UXCRoywYTOZwRbOcR-6zBiG7vHc_jh76gf-oE6OBnSZCWAT6Q57iIMFX=s0-d-e1-ft#?profile=RESIZE_400x

Americans have a shockingly low history IQ, with a low percentage of adults not possessing even basic knowledge of the country and its founding. One would be hard-pressed to find a person on the street who can name the country’s first president. Or who fought in World War II. Or who won it, for that matter. But everyone seems to know a lot about Nazis.

Former President Donald Trump and the people who voted for him are routinely labeled as Nazis in the American media. It has become a charge that is repeated so often that it’s hardly even challenged anymore. Leftmedia apparatchiks like Jonathan Chait post fabricated chronicles about how Trump introduced Nazism into the Republican Party, and those who don’t know better are left to simply believe his supposition unquestioned. Trump brought Nazis into the Republican Party? Of course not. But few are questioning that this actually took place. They merely ponder how he supposedly did it.

Even our current president, socalist/scumbag/liar-Joe Biden, Mr. Unity himself, has labeled Republican Senators Ted Cruz and Josh Hawley as “part of the big lie.” That’s an implicit reference to a statement attributed to Nazi propaganda minister Joseph Goebbels that people will believe a lie, no matter how big, if you tell it often enough. This is ironic considering how the Left is throwing around the terms Nazi and fascist lately.

There are a couple of big lies being floated in the American media, but neither has anything to do with how the Republican Party was supposedly hijacked by Nazis, or how Trump was supposedly the second coming of Adolf Hitler.

The first big lie is about fascism itself, and it’s based on a completely false view of the political spectrum. This view, embraced by a vast majority of pundits and educators, is that fascism is a far-right ideology, while communism is on the far left. According to this view, totalitarian control lays at both ends of the spectrum, with humble Liberty-loving folks in the center. This is not true. On the real political spectrum, the far left is dominated by totalitarian control, regardless of how it’s packaged. The far right is a complete absence of control (anarchy). Responsible self-government exists somewhere in between.

How is it that so many people have a completely erroneous view of the political spectrum? It started before World War II, when communist apologists in the Western media searched for a way to create daylight between Nazi Germany and the Soviet Union in order to engender sympathy for the latter and derision for the former. In reality, there was no big difference between Joseph Stalin and Hitler or how they ran their countries. They both ruled over their citizens with an iron fist, maintained complete control over their economies and industries, and sought to expand their power through military means. The only difference was in how they conducted their parades.

Theirs was a turf war, not an ideological one.

Yet the lie about fascism being a far-right ideology has stuck ever since, and now it’s being used to bolster another big lie — that Donald Trump and his followers are fascists. Follow the twisted logic for a moment. Republicans are on the right side of the political spectrum, therefore rabid Republicans must be fascists, because fascists are on the extreme right.

Wrong. Republicans and conservatives are on the right side of the political spectrum because they want constitutionally limited government, not unbridled government. Fascists want total government control of approved private enterprise. If Trump were a true fascist, then he’s the worst fascist in modern history. He cut hundreds of government regulations to shrink the reach of the federal bureaucracy. He’s the first president in recent memory to go through an entire term without bringing America into a new war. And he spent much of his foreign policy capital fostering peace treaties and trade deals with other nations.

Yet the media has condemned Trump as a fascist in the court of public opinion, and leftists everywhere are hoping that this second sham impeachment trial will finally prove it to the public for all time. Their lie has become so big that many Republicans have parroted this view, demonstrating more interest in saving their political hides than standing up against the tide of ignorance. Even former California Governor and sometime Republican Arnold Schwarzenegger bought the line about Trump as a Nazi. And Schwarzenegger’s father actually was a Nazi. You’d think at least he’d know the difference.

Leftists had to defeat Donald Trump by any means necessary because he stood between them and greater power. They lied, cajoled, browbeat, stuffed ballot boxes, and engaged in all manner of dirty deeds to achieve that aim, because they insisted he was the fascist. The trouble is, their behavior is exactly what real fascists do.  ~ The Patriot Post

Killing Jobs and Raising Energy Prices

New Transportation Secretary socialist-Pete Buttigieg has a dilemma: He can’t decide which method he prefers to use to take more of Americans’ hard-earned money and transfer it to government coffers.

One one hand, it seems the former mayor of South Bend, Indiana, prefers a good old-fashioned tax increase on gasoline. “I think all options need to be on the table. The gas tax has not been increased since 1993, and it’s never been paid to inflation,” he stated during his Senate confirmation hearing last week. “And that’s one of the reasons why the current state of the Highway Trust Fund is there’s more going out than coming in. Up until now, that’s been addressed with general funding transfers. I don’t know whether Congress would want to continue doing that.”

socialist-Buttigieg also sees electric vehicles as a problem in that regard. “In the near term, we need a solution that can provide some predictability and sustainability,” he added. “In the long term, we need to bear in mind also that as vehicles become more efficient and as we pursue electrification, sooner or later there will be questions about whether the gas tax can be effective at all.”

Right now, the federal gas tax is 18.4 cents per gallon, and the average of total state taxes is 29.8 cents per gallon. State gas taxes range from a high of 62.47 cents per gallon in California to a low of 13.77 cents per gallon in Alaska. The revenue goes into the Highway Trust Fund and pays for most of the government’s highway and mass transit spending.

Nonetheless, if the dynamic addressed by socialist-Buttigieg sounds familiar, it’s because increased taxes on cigarette smoking ultimately precipitated declines in smoking — and the revenue such taxes were supposed to generate. Thus, socialist-Buttigieg is on firm ground when he assumes greater electrification of vehicles will lead to declining gas tax revenues.

And that goes double if Americans are forbidden to drive fossil fuel-powered vehicles, period. Wholly irrespective of reality, many progressives believe technological progress can simply be mandated into existence by a specific date. Moreover, they’re willing to ignore the uncomfortable reality that mass production of electric vehicles may  produce an ecological “cure” worse than the disease it is supposed to eradicate.

In short, “going green” may simply be imposed by hammering Americans into submission. Automotive expert Eric Peters warns that “by 2030 not much else that isn’t electric will be built,” and the few cars that aren’t “will have been driven off the roads entirely by regulatory fiat and extortionate/punitive gas and registration fees” by 2040.

Weirdly, a socialist-Buttigieg spokesman later walked the gas tax statement back, telling reporters a “variety of options need to be on the table to ensure we can invest in our highways and create jobs, but increasing the gas tax is not among them.”

So what’s the other alternative? socialist-Buttigieg is toying with the idea of taxing Americans for the number of miles they drive. “A lot has been suggested recently about the idea of vehicle-miles-traveled-based, so if we’re committed to the idea of user-pays, then part of how you might do that would be based on vehicle miles traveled [VMT],” he said. “But that raises, of course, concerns about privacy and there remains some technological questions too. These are examples of some of the things that could be part of the solution, but I know that’s going to have to be a conversation, not only in the administration, but with Congress too.”

Columnist Nicholas Ballasy explains what a VMT system is really all about: “To implement a VMT system, the federal government would likely have to establish a uniform in-car system for tracking the number of miles a driver travels similar to the EZ-Pass transponder that drivers put in their vehicles to pay tolls.”

In other words, under the auspices of “going green,” government would gain the power to track every vehicle in the nation in real time. And if Americans believe the data collected will be used solely to determine miles driven, they are incredibly naive. Data from electronic toll-collection systems have already been used in divorce and child-custody cases, and police have used data from car computers to solve crimes. Another layer of surveillance would be just the ticket for a socalist/scumbag/liar-Biden administration, a Democrat-controlled Congress, and an American Left in general with a demonstrated appetite for defining those who fail to fully embrace progressive dogma as “problematic” — at best — and potential domestic terrorists at worst.

Whatever revenues are generated, they are being touted as one of the streams used to fund the socalist/scumbag/liar-Biden administration’s $1 trillion infrastructure plan. Yet one suspects that, much like the scumbag/liar-nObama administration’s self-admitted  sham known as the “shovel-ready” stimulus package, the funds generated here will be used to bail out blue-state budget profligacy, even in areas wholly unrelated to infrastructure.

The big picture? Under the banner of “zero emissions,” by a fixed date, wholly irrespective of whether or not viable alternatives exist, Americans should be prepared to endure all the costly permutations associated with the Democrats’ determination to wean the nation off fossil fuels. Via executive orders, socalist/scumbag/liar-Biden has already placed a 60-day moratorium on new oil and gas leases on public lands that will likely become permanent, reversed the rollbacks on vehicle emissions standards, canceled the Keystone pipeline project, and reestablished a working group to calculate the “social costs” associated with greenhouse gasses.

Maybe it would be a better idea to calculate the job losses such policies will engender. Canceling Keystone  eliminated 11,000 jobs directly and as many as 60,000 more indirectly. If the moratorium on oil and gas leases becomes permanent, another one million jobs will be vaporized.

And it all comes courtesy of an administration whose campaign slogan was “Build Back Better.”

Reality check: “We’ve got guys that haven’t worked in months, and in some cases years, and to have a project of this magnitude canceled, it’s going to hurt a lot of people, a lot of families, a lot of communities,” stated welding foreman Neal Crabtree, in reference to Keystone’s cancellation.

socialist-Buttigieg insists people like Crabtree will “continue to be employed in good-paying union jobs, even if they might be different ones.”

And climate czar hanoi-John Kerry says these folks can “go to work to make the solar panels.”

Crabtree wasn’t buying it. “I don’t consider this a job, I consider it a career,” he said in response. “You spend a lifetime fine-tuning your skills and if you go start another job you’re starting at the bottom. I doubt that these politicians would like it if someone told them to go start over and find a different job.”

In reality, members of our political class don’t give a damn. As far as they’re concerned, everyone laid off as a result of their environmental extremism can “learn to code.”

Joe Manchin: The Egocentric Ace of Spades
Fb3M57GQl3hFs5VLK8JAT6Hw7skbaMGOPyRkmjcMwMRLn8FsahCzhzQ54PK_b1ZeSoBgeSJWeI_FNX5GKtLbWDOeWJA9PIAoRFWCn_UH9wHU25ONyvMomQUdTyTLTslCLRciPmth7RB97D0Vspf_zF9rNANcz8LaZEIVo3UsvdmrhAJN=s0-d-e1-ft#?profile=RESIZE_400x

The Georgia U.S. Senate runoffs were not just frustrating for conservatives but also extremely detrimental to the fabric of our great nation. Congress’s upper chamber is now evenly split 50-50, which will provide Vice President lowlife/liar-Kamala Harris with ample opportunities to cast tiebreaking votes on big-ticket legislation — legislation that will invariably expand the welfare state, curtail First and Second Amendment rights, and nurture globalism, among other things.

That’s assuming, of course, that Democrat Joe Manchin is concretely steadfast to his party in the exceedingly ominous years ahead. But if history is any indication, that’s not going to happen. Senator Manchin, of course, has a penchant for being somewhat of a maverick. On the surface, that’s a good thing, particularly considering he officially caucuses with an increasingly radical Democrat Party. Metaphorically speaking, if the Democrat Party were a desert, Manchin would be the dry creek that occasionally and refreshingly fills with water. Ironically, though, his long-held “moderate” credentials while caucusing with the Democrats have suddenly become rather problematic, because the very balance of power is at stake.

Manchin represents the state of West Virginia, where approximately 69 out of every 100 voters cast their ballot for President Donald Trump in the November presidential election. There are plenty of red states in the U.S., and some of them came close to matching West Virginia’s margin. But only one — Wyoming — had a higher percentage of voters who went for Trump (70.4%). That’s  how red the Mountain State is.

This brings us to a sobering reality: Manchin is the most selfish Democrat in America. The same credit he deserves for being willing on numerous occasions in the past to cross aisles when his party bent too far to the left now paradoxically serves as the grounds for severe criticism.

We’re in the radical era of socalist/scumbag/liar-Joe Biden now. That, combined with the unusual composition of a split Senate and Manchin’s wobbly affiliation with the Democrat Party, means his ambiguous fidelity to stymying full-frontal socialism wreaks of opportunism. He’s not just sitting on the fence, making people guess which way he’ll vote, but he’s also relishing it. It goes without saying that the vast majority of West Virginians — indeed, even Manchin himself, if past remarks are any indication — want nothing to do with the Left’s socialist agenda. It’s not enough for Manchin to, as a Democrat, object to eliminating the filibuster, or packing the courts, or admitting extra states to pack the Senate with Democrats. He ought to represent his state and vote for the right policies as a Republican by switching parties.

If Manchin would do what he should have done long ago — caucus with the GOP, as many observes have long suggested he do — the balance of power would change, and Senate Democrats would have to fold more often than not. But here we are, with Manchin pompously holding the ace of spades, and an equally anticipative lowlife/liar-Kamala Harris grinning in the background.    ~The Patriot Post

Tulsi Tells an Inconvenient Truth
9TzzmJG4cQREpO0EmWYt0gLhH6aAs09qIABYgnvhUiCHMmAlnrHY7Y4t2IXjGD_EksrNYzdJqV6l_m3K1I7p6-bo0oG4uTYWYHinjRITG0twvHAIEAfCoeYFTN-SWMh9r68G8F2kMlNIpPFK68eEKGG63Z21oy0o5EmU4fwriTWQOC5c=s0-d-e1-ft#?profile=RESIZE_400x

Tulsi Gabbard is, in a word, interesting. A retired congresswoman and a major in the U.S. Army Reserve, she was a thorn in the Democrat Party’s side throughout its presidential primary, and she continues to be as much. Why? Because she’s a woman of color who obliterates the stereotype of the down-the-line leftist, and because she’s wildly unafraid to tell inconvenient truths.

Truths like this one: “The mob that stormed the Capitol on January 6 to try to stop Congress from carrying out its constitutional responsibilities were behaving like domestic enemies of our country. But let’s be clear: The scumbag/commie-John Brennans, scumbag/liar-Adam Schiffs, and the oligarchs in Big Tech who are trying to undermine our constitutionally protected rights and turn our country into a police state with KGB-style surveillance are also domestic enemies — and much more powerful, and therefore dangerous, than the mob that stormed the Capitol.”

So, from Tulsi, a pox on both your houses: the fringy far-righters who went to Washington and stormed the Capitol, and the mainstream Left that thinks silencing a sitting president and his like-minded supporters is somehow acceptable in a constitutional republic.

Yes, this is the mainstream Left — which we might also now dub the authoritarian Left. That’s where lying scoundrels like Representative Adam Schiff and commie sympathizers like scumbag/commie--John Brennan make their living, and it’s where the damage to our civil liberties is now being done by all manner of cancel-culturing foot soldiers, from Internet service providers to book publishers to hotel chains to insurance companies to global banks to professional sports leagues.

scumbag/liar-Schiff, we know, is an easy target for Gabbard, even if he was, until just a few weeks ago, her congressional colleague. But if you think we’re being too hard on Brennan, ask yourself how many folks you know who, during the height of the Cold War, voted for the Communist Party USA’s candidate for president as a way of signaling his “unhappiness with the system.” Let’s see … Gerald Ford, Jimmy Carter, or the commie?

And one look at scumbag/commie--Brennan’s recent remarks — the remarks that prompted Gabbard to call him out — indicate that his authoritarian streak is as strong as ever. “The members of the socalist/scumbag/liar-Biden team who have been nominated or have been appointed,” he said, “are now moving in laser-like fashion to try to uncover as much as they can about what looks very similar to insurgency movements that we’ve seen overseas, where they germinate in different parts of the country and they gain strength, and it brings together an unholy alliance frequently of religious extremists, authoritarians, fascists, bigots, racists, Nativists, even libertarians.”

Even libertarians? Yes, scumbag/commie-John Brennan just smeared millions of Liberty-loving Americans by lumping them in with authoritarians, fascists, bigots, and racists. Thus, if you appreciate lower taxes and less government, scumbag/commie-John Brennan’s people would like to have a word with you.

“President Biden,” Gabbard concluded, “I call upon you and all of Congress from both parties to denounce efforts by scumbag/commie-Brennan and others to take away our civil liberties endowed to us by our Creator and guaranteed in our Constitution. If you don’t stand up to them now, then our country will be in great peril.”

We’re not sure what the future holds for Tulsi Gabbard, who’s just 39 and seems far too young and far too engaged to be without some sort of political future. In the meantime, though, we’re happy to have her on the right side in the fight for civil liberties.   ~ The Patriot Post

Leftmedia Smears Tom Cotton's Military Record
YEP3yjcSZ6q_b8R3UXTXYpCb2I0IGKblKOryYSttzRwqFYFiaP9YshZ4fv0l5M6_Vzfz7pw3CwuswtdGe0Wijgs-B0PONDhBPSA9iJU80U0lhIvnBXjQ_noNEuKMsDi5hyc0TaEhyyowJ034ro-XJCSpHYzEWTZfaKH6-b_w6nHnrFrp=s0-d-e1-ft#?profile=RESIZE_400x

Not only is Senator Tom Cotton (R-AR) a Patriot for his principled defense of the U.S. Constitution, he’s also a veteran who willingly put his life on the line to defend this nation serving in both Iraq and Afghanistan. Yet some leftists, fresh off successfully getting Donald Trump banned from social media by their Big Tech buddies, will do anything to collect more conservative scalps, and they’ve taken their hatchets to Cotton.

Apparently, Cotton represents everything leftists loathe about conservatives, yet without any of the personality flaws that made Trump an easy target. Last summer, The New York Times published an op-ed from Cotton entitled “Send in the Troops,” wherein he made the argument for Trump to invoke the Insurrection Act of 1807 to stem the violence and rioting that was rocking several American cities. Leftists at the time ran to their fainting couches as they demanded and eventually got the head of the Gray Lady’s editorial page editor for daring to run an opinion piece that didn’t comport with the Left’s erroneous narrative on BLM.

It’s ironic that only a few months later, leftists praised the call to send in the troops to protect the U.S. Capitol following the riot, but we digress.

The Leftmedia clearly sees Cotton as politically dangerous, which explains its eagerness to smear him. The leftist rag Salon attempted to do this over the weekend with a hit piece entitled, “Sen. Tom Cotton campaigned on his ‘experience as an Army Ranger’ — but he didn’t have any.”

Salon erroneously alleged that Cotton was guilty of stolen valor for falsely claiming to be a “U.S. Army Ranger in Iraq and Afghanistan,” when in fact he “was never a part of the 75th Ranger Regiment.” Yet, while acknowledging that Cotton served eight years in two war zones as “an Army captain and decorated hero — including two commendations medals, a Bronze Star and a Ranger tab” (emphasis added), Salon insists that Cotton lied about this military service when campaigning because he said he “volunteered to be an Army Ranger.”

And so Cotton did. He attended Ranger school, received the Ranger tab, and went on to serve with the 101st Airborne — not the famed 75th Ranger Regiment, but neither did he ever claim the 75th. Yet Salon dubiously insinuates that Cotton’s supposed failure to clearly distinguish that his service was with the 101st rather than 75th after Ranger school is tantamount to stolen valor.

Seeing the Salon exposé, Newsweek elected to get in on the Cotton bashing act with a story under the title, “Tom Cotton Blasted for Claims About Being an Army Ranger by Lawmaker Who Was One.” Yet, hilariously, back in 2015, Newsweek ran a story praising the fact that for “the first time in the Army Ranger School’s 64-year history, two women have completed the intense training program and will become Rangers.” The story even acknowledged that while the two women “will become Rangers,” they won’t be joining “the 75th Ranger Regiment” as it “does not allow female Rangers.”

Following its story criticizing Cotton, Newsweek quietly went back to edit its 2015 article referencing the first two female “Rangers” to now say that they “will be allowed to wear the coveted Ranger tab on their uniforms.” Newsweek then added, “This article has been changed to note that completion of the course allows one to wear the Ranger tab, but does not make one a Ranger.”

As the Leftmedia’s attempt to smear Cotton has only grown, National Review’s John McCormack noted, “Retired Command sergeant major Rick Merritt, who served in the 75th Ranger Regiment, told the Arkansas Times over the weekend that Salon’s attack on Cotton was ‘absurd,’ ‘unfair,’ and ‘almost slanderous.’ ‘He’s 100 percent a Ranger,’ said Merritt. ‘He will always be a Ranger. It’s a slap in the face for any veteran — any Ranger — to be attacked that way. It’s not a controversy. It’s a fact that he is a Ranger, just like I’m a Ranger. They’re just playing semantics on the unit in which he served as a Ranger.’” Exactly. Cotton’s a threat to the Left’s anti-American agenda, hence the baseless and ignorant attack.   ~ The Patriot Post

socalist/scumbag/liar-Biden: A Liberal Wolf in Moderate Sheep's Clothing

President socalist/scumbag/liar-Biden and his press secretary, Jen Psaki, have assured us he is a “devout Catholic” who “attends church regularly.” The question is not new but should be asked again and a credible answer demanded. How can one be devout about one’s faith and not comport with Scripture and the teachings of the Catholic Church? As the Apostle James wrote, “faith without works is dead.” (James 2:14-26)

President socalist/scumbag/liar-Biden might believe his “works” consist of more government programs, executive orders and policies that some believe are contributing to the divisive culture wars, but some of these policies are antithetical to his church’s doctrines. Many Catholic leaders have criticized him for his stand on abortion, same-sex marriage, and transgender equality. socalist/scumbag/liar-Biden has added to his pro-choice stand a reversal on federal funding of abortion, which he long opposed until the 2020 presidential campaign.

Archbishop Jose Gomez, president of the U.S. Conference of Catholic Bishops, has said: “When politicians who profess the Catholic faith support [abortion rights], there are additional problems. Among other things, it creates confusion among the faithful about what the Catholic Church actually teaches on these questions.”

Since socalist/scumbag/liar-Biden is such a “devout Catholic” maybe he should consider what Jesus said about false teachers: “Beware of false prophets, which come to you in sheep’s clothing, but inwardly they are ravening wolves.” (Matthew 7:15)

socalist/scumbag/liar-Joe Biden was the safest choice for the left in advancing a liberal agenda. He put on the sheep’s clothing of a “moderate,” but underneath is a man whose policies have been revealed to comport with the Bernie Sanders wing of his party. Say one thing and do another is a major reason so many have become cynical about politics and politicians. They increasingly want to spend more of our money on things that improve few lives, while imposing policies, like stopping the Keystone XL Pipeline, which cost jobs.

That Keystone executive order earned condemnation from several labor unions that had endorsed socalist/scumbag/liar-Biden for president.

If spending and other liberal policies improved lives would they not have by now, considering our massive debt? And yet they tell us the problems remain. All they need is ever-higher taxes and more spending and all will be well.

On the question of private faith and public responsibilities, the U.S. Conference of Catholic Bishops has again made church teaching clear: “Many Catholics do not adequately understand that the social teaching of the Church is an essential part of Catholic faith.”

socalist/scumbag/liar-Biden has reverted to an old and meaningless excuse when he says he doesn’t want to “impose” his faith on others. The question then becomes why have a faith at all, if he won’t apply what his church teaches as truth? How is socalist/scumbag/liar-Biden different from a person who is about to witness a murder but doesn’t try to stop it, or call the police, because he doesn’t want to impose his moral views about the value of life on a man about to commit an illegal and immoral act?

If socalist/scumbag/liar-Biden doesn’t want to “impose” his view about unborn life, why can’t he at least argue in favor of it in an attempt to persuade people of life’s value at the start and at all stages until natural death? That is the position of his church. If it is his position, he should say so and publicly defend it, otherwise it becomes devoid of any moral value.   ~ The Patriot Post

Democrats Want a 'Return to Civility'; When Did They Practice It?
A 2020 socalist/scumbag/liar-Joe Biden campaign ad described the pending election as an “opportunity to leave the dark, angry politics of the past behind us.” After socalist/scumbag/liar-Biden’s election, he, Democrats and media urge a “return to civility.” But when did the Democrats practice the very civility to which they seek to return?

Let’s go to the videotape:

When Barry Goldwater accepted the 1964 Republican nomination, California’s Democratic Gov. Pat Brown said, “The stench of fascism is in the air.”

Former Rep. William Clay Sr., D-Mo., said President Ronald Reagan was “trying to replace the Bill of Rights with fascist precepts lifted verbatim from ‘Mein Kampf.’”

Coretta Scott King, in 1980, said, “I am scared that if Ronald Reagan gets into office, we are going to see more of the Ku Klux Klan and a resurgence of the Nazi Party.”

After Republicans took control of the House in the mid-‘90s, Rep. John Dingell, D-Mich., compared the newly conservative-majority House to “the Duma and the Reichstag,” referring to the legislature set up by Czar Nicholas II of Russia and the parliament of the German Weimar Republic that brought Hitler to power.

About President George Herbert Walker Bush, Rep. scumbag/worthless-Maxine Waters, D-Calif., said: “I believe (Bush) is a racist for many, many reasons. … (He’s) a mean-spirited man who has no care or concern about what happens to the African American community. … I truly believe that.”

About the Republican-controlled House, longtime Harlem Democratic Rep. Charlie Rangel, in 1994, said: “It’s not 's—’ or ‘n—’ anymore. (Republicans) say, ‘Let’s cut taxes.’” A decade later, Rangel said, “George (W.) Bush is our Bull Connor,” referring to the Birmingham, Alabama, Democrat segregationist superintendent of public safety who sicced dogs and turned fire hoses on civil rights workers.

Donna Brazile, scumbag/liar-Al Gore’s presidential campaign manager, in 1999, said: Republicans have a “white boy attitude, (which means) ‘I must exclude, denigrate and leave behind.’ They don’t see it or think about it. It’s a culture.” The following year, Brazile said: “The Republicans bring out Colin Powell and (Rep.) J.C. Watts, (R-Okla.), because they have no program, no policy. … They’d rather take pictures with Black children than feed them.”

About President George W. Bush, former Vice President scumbag/liar-Al Gore said: “(Bush’s) executive branch has made it a practice to try and control and intimidate news organizations, from PBS to CBS to Newsweek. … And every day, they unleash squadrons of digital brownshirts to harass and hector any journalist who is critical of the President.” Digital “brownshirts”?

About George W. Bush, scumbag-George Soros, the billionaire Democratic donor, said: “The Bush administration and the Nazi and communist regimes all engaged in the politics of fear. … Indeed, the Bush administration has been able to improve on the techniques used by the Nazi and communist propaganda machines.”

Former NAACP Chairman Julian Bond, in a 2006 speech at historically Black Fayetteville State University said, “The Republican Party would have the American flag and the swastika flying side by side.” Former Gov. Howard Dean, chairman of the Democratic National Committee in 2005, described the contest between Democrats and Republicans as “a struggle between good and evil. And we’re the good.” Three years later, Dean referred to the GOP as “the white party.”

After Hurricane Katrina, Democratic Missouri Senate candidate Claire McCaskill said George W. Bush “let people die on rooftops in New Orleans because they were poor and because they were Black.” Feminist superlawyer Gloria Allred, in 2001, referred to Colin Powell and Condoleezza Rice as “Uncle Tom types.”

Then-Sen. scumbag/liar-Hillary Clinton, in 2006, said, “The (Republican-controlled) House of Representatives … has been run like a plantation. And you know what I’m talking about.”

Debbie Wasserman Schultz, Democratic National Committee chairwoman in 2011, said “Republicans … want to literally drag us all the way back to Jim Crow laws.”

Again, exactly when did Democrats practice the “civility” to which they wish to return?   ~ The Patriot Post
