liar-Biden’s Weakness
Nearly 600,000 Americans and nearly 3.5 million people around the world have died of COVID-19 during the ChiCom Virus pandemic. That world total isn’t counting how many Chinese actually died — certainly several orders of magnitude more than Beijing’s laughably false number of less than 5,000. The pandemic (and response to it) has also caused untold economic upheaval, from lost jobs and livelihoods to endless product delays and rampant inflation. That’s to say nothing of the psychological damage to people who are still irrationally terrified of the virus. So, inquiring minds want to know more about China’s role in unleashing this hell on the world.
There are, of course, many who don’t have inquiring minds. In fact, they seem to want to help the Chinese communists cover up the truth. One such mind is that of President socialist/scumbag/liar-Joe Biden, and his deception and weakness is as much the story as China’s malevolence. He did, after all, win the election largely thanks to the Democrat Party’s effort to hang the entire pandemic around President Donald Trump’s neck.
Just yesterday, our Douglas Andrews recounted how COVID’s origins have been shrouded in lies, some of which have been perpetuated by the American president. Among socialist/scumbag/liar-Biden’s actions: Administration lackeys quashed an origin probe launched by former Secretary of State Mike Pompeo when they thought they could get away with doing so. The “solution” then proposed by the White House was to let the World Health Organization take the lead in any investigation. Of course, the Chinese toadies at the WHO had already bowed to pressure and obstruction, absolving Beijing of responsibility.
Yet there was a problem for socialist/scumbag/liar-Biden: The media was finally beginning to exhibit a little bit of inquisitive interest in COVID’s origins, so a day after the WHO play, Team socialist/scumbag/liar-Biden fell back on a new plan that he claims is an old plan — order U.S. intelligence agencies to investigate and return a report in 90 days.
“Shortly after I became president, in March, I had my national security advisor task the Intelligence Community to prepare a report on their most up-to-date analysis of the origins of COVID-19, including whether it emerged from human contact with an infected animal or from a laboratory accident,” socialist/scumbag/liar-Biden said Wednesday. He added, “The U.S. Intelligence Community has ‘coalesced around two likely scenarios’ but has not reached a definitive conclusion on this question.”
Let’s assume for a moment that this is a real investigation. The questions we want answered are simple, if incredibly consequential.
The first is actually what socialist/scumbag/liar-Biden outlined: Did the coronavirus originate in nature, or did it escape in a lab accident? Those are not mutually exclusive, of course. Perhaps the natural coronavirus became part of gain-of-function research, or perhaps it was the modified product of a bioweapon program.
Furthermore, what role did U.S. taxpayer funding play in any relevant research? American funding of the Wuhan Institute of Virology certainly would be a motivation for American officials like the all-knowing Dr. Anthony Fauci to deny, deny, deny.
Did the virus spread first via a wet market as the conventional “wisdom” has held, or was it released — again, whether intentionally or not — from a Wuhan laboratory?
Did the ChiComs, once the bug was out, develop a strategy to delay saying anything so as to use the impact to their advantage? Or did the ChiComs develop the strategy for their weapon first and then unleash it upon the world?
The theory that COVID originated in a Biosafety Level Four laboratory in Wuhan is not new, of course. The evidence is strong, if, at this point, still largely circumstantial. Senator Tom Cotton was among the first to advance it way back in January 2020, before the virus had even really hit the U.S. Trump and Pompeo also believed it to be likely. Yet they and every other person asking such questions were immediately labeled “racist” by the Left.
According to American leftists, thinking that Chinese scientists were studying a virus is racist, while thinking Chinese people visiting an unsanitary wet market and then spreading a bat virus isn’t.
The evidence for the lab theory grew much stronger just this week with the revelations about a Chinese mine dating all the way back to 2012. Six miners fell ill with symptoms very similar to COVID-19. Three died. Wuhan researchers collected samples of coronaviruses from that cave for further study.
“Wuhan is about 1,140 miles away from the mineshaft, a 21-hour drive by car, roughly the distance from New Orleans to New York City,” notes National Review’s Jim Geraghty. “The city of Wuhan is well beyond the natural habitat and natural migration patterns of bats who are most likely to carry viruses such as this one.”
Geraghty collected a veritable treasure trove of other information — about the cave, the miners, the lab and its research (as well as a mysterious period of zero cellphone activity from a high-security portion of the lab in October 2019), and Chinese efforts to obstruct investigators and punish truth-tellers after the pandemic began. As Geraghty admits, much of the evidence is circumstantial, but it is more than persuasive. To deny a nefarious ChiCom role in the origin and spread of this terrible virus is to be deliberately blind to reality.
We believe there’s little doubt of the answer to one of our questions: The ChiComs absolutely used the release of the virus, whether accidental or deliberate, to their advantage in weakening geopolitical foes like the United States.
A new and “America Worst” president with a history of being beholden to Beijing is only helping them. China never had an adversary quite like Donald Trump. And it’s never had an American friend quite like socialist/ scumbag/liar-Joe Biden.
Indeed, we suspect this U.S. intelligence probe is socialist/scumbag/liar-Biden’s way of doing everything he can to not challenge China. As long as he’s in charge of the U.S. investigation, we can surmise the truth but may never definitively know the answers. ~The Patriot Post
socialist/scumbag/liar-Biden’s ATF Nominee Wants to Ban AR-15s
In Senate confirmation hearings on Wednesday, David Chipman, socialist/scumbag/liar-Joe Biden’s nominee to lead the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (ATF), confirmed his desire to ban the AR-15, the most commonly owned rifle in America.
During the Senate Judiciary Committee hearing, Ted Cruz (R-TX) asked, “The AR-15 is one of, if not the most popular rifle in America. It’s not a machine gun. It’s a rifle. Your public position is that you want to ban AR-15s. Is that correct?” Chipman at least didn’t dodge the question: “With respect to the AR-15, I support a ban as has been presented in a Senate bill and supported by the president.”
However, in an attempt to defend his position, he added, “The AR-15 is a gun I was issued on ATF’s SWAT team, and it’s a particularly lethal weapon. And regulating it as other particularly lethal weapons I have advocated for.” Chipman then pledged to “simply enforce the laws on the books” should he be confirmed, noting that “right now, there is no such ban on those guns.” That’s small comfort coming from a gun-grabbing activist who is consistently unable to define precisely what constitutes an “assault weapon.” (Here’s a definition.)
When Senator John Kennedy (R-LA) asked for a quick definition, Chipman responded, “There’s no way I could define an assault weapon,” though he offered “one definition that ATF currently uses.” But Kennedy was having none of the deflecting. He pressed for “Chipman’s personal definition,” since if confirmed he would be directing the ATF, not the other way around.
Senator Tom Cotton (R-AR) then highlighted the significance of terminology by asking if stores would be required to label certain firearms as “assault weapons.” Chipman answered, “I don’t believe … that the firearms industry has used the term ‘assault rifle’ in their marketing since there was a ban on it.”
Cotton then astutely observed, “I think our exchange here illustrates that there really is no such thing as an assault weapon. That is a term that was manufactured by liberal lawyers and pollsters in Washington to try to scare the American people into believing that the government should confiscate weapons that are wildly popular for millions of Americans to defend themselves and their families and their homes.”
The Washington Examiner’s Tiana Lowe noted, “At one point, [Chipman] seemed to concede that [an ‘assault weapon’ is] whatever Congress decides it is. At another, he defined it as ‘any semi-automatic rifle capable of accepting a detachable magazine above the caliber of .22.’ This definition would encompass the overwhelming majority of rifles in a nation where private individuals own hundreds of millions of rifles.”
Chipman has repeatedly expressed his radical anti-Second Amendment views, from suggesting that illegal gunfire should be investigated as “potential homicide” to advocating for arresting people who fail background checks when attempting to purchase a firearm, as “this is a perfect opportunity to arrest people before committing crimes, rather than responding after the fact.” That’s a position Senator Mike Lee (R-UT) rightly called “especially troubling for someone who has been nominated to serve as the ATF director, because even setting aside for a minute the Second Amendment … this violates our most fundamental rules of due process.”
Regarding the Democrats’ and anti-gun lobby’s false narrative surrounding “assault weapons,” we have repeatedly noted the data shows year after year that rifles of any kind are used in only a fraction of all firearms-related deaths. To put it bluntly, AR-15s are not the primary weapon criminals use — not even close. Given that fact, it’s highly dubious for Chipman to single out America’s most popular rifle for banning. Apparently for Chipman, fiction matters more than facts when it comes to advocating against Americans’ Second Amendment rights. This is the same guy, after all, who made the demonstrably false claim that “at Waco, cult members used 2.5 caliber Barretts to shoot down two Texas Air National Guard helicopters.” No helicopter was shot down.
Just to name a couple this week, socialist/scumbag/liar-Biden picked a racist to lead the Civil Rights Division and an anti-Second Amendment radical to head the ATF. Protecting Americans’ Liberty is clearly not his agenda. ~The Patriot Post
San Francisco Suffers More Deaths From ODs Than COVID
In San Francisco, an epidemic deadlier than coronavirus afflicted that city in 2020. And in 2021, while COVID appears on the wane, the increase in deaths engendered by that other epidemic is even greater.
Drug overdoses killed more than 700 people in San Francisco in 2020, compared to fewer than 300 deaths attributed to coronavirus. Now? “This year’s preliminary tally of 252 accidental overdose deaths from January to April, which is the latest available through the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner, suggests San Francisco is on track to surpass 2020 in overdose deaths, which was a record-breaking year itself — 181 people fatally overdosed over the same time period in 2021,” the San Francisco Chronicle reports.
The Chronicle further reveals that in recent years, accidental overdose deaths in that city have risen sharply, and that the 252 deaths in the first four months of 2021 exceeds the total of 222 deaths recorded during the entire year of 2017.
The story behind the story? The paper adds, “The chief medical examiner’s data shows that overdose fatalities in San Francisco began to skyrocket in 2019, when fentanyl entered the city’s drug supply.”
For anyone paying even the remotest attention, this is hardly surprising. As a 2019 report from the CDC revealed, nationwide deaths from fentanyl soared more than 1,000% from 1,600 deaths in 2011 to 18,335 deaths in 2016.
In 2019, the total number of U.S. overdose fatalities reached a new high of 70,980, of which 36,500, were attributed to synthetic opioids such as fentanyl. Cocaine and methamphetamine fatalities also increased, largely because these substances were mixed with fentanyl. And a paper produced by Vanda Felbab-Brown for the Brookings Institution reveals something else many Americans have known for quite some time. “Since 2013,” it states, “China has been the principal source of the fentanyl flooding the U.S. illicit drug market — or of the precursor agents from which fentanyl is produced, often in Mexico — fueling the deadliest drug epidemic in U.S. history.”
In a better nation, this contemptible combination of communist Chinese thugs enabling Mexican drug cartels — for the sole purpose of getting Americans addicted to deadly drugs — would be seen as tantamount to an act of war.
In this one, under a deliberately comatose socialist/ scumbag/liar-Biden administration, “business as usual” has become better than ever. “U.S. Customs and Border Protection confiscated more fentanyl in the first half of 2021 than in the last three years,” The Federalist reports. “CBP seized 6,494 pounds of the drug between October 2020 and April 2021, according to recently released data. Nearly 2,000 more pounds of fentanyl have been seized by CBP officials compared to last year amid the southern border surge. CBP seized 4,776 pounds in 2020 and 2,801 pounds in 2019.”
Remember back in March when President socialist/ scumbag/liar-Joe Biden appointed Vice President lowlife/liar-Kamala Harris to address the crisis occurring at our southern border, where illegal border crossings remain at 20-year highs — and monthly deportations of illegals reached the lowest level ever recorded in April?
Harris apparently doesn’t. It’s been 64 days since her appointment and she hasn’t held a single press conference on the subject or taken single trip to the border. On Monday, the White House revealed this was no accident. Despite a new video showing a group of illegal immigrants rushing the border and overwhelming Border Patrol agents in Texas on Sunday, Press Secretary liar-Jen Psaki revealed that Harris still hasn’t made any arrangements to meet with the local officials bearing the brunt of the chaos. “I expect she will make a trip to the Northern Triangle at some point soon,” Psaki said. “So that would be where she would travel given her purview.”
And while lowlife/liar-Harris’s purview remains focused elsewhere, along with that of a deliberately somnambulant media, Texas Governor Greg Abbott addressed the impact of drug smuggling the socialist/scumbag/liar-Biden administration seems intent on ignoring. “The Texas Department of Public Safety patrols the border every single day,” Abbott stated. “And they have seen an 800% increase in the amount of fentanyl coming across the border. They seized this year enough fentanyl to kill every man, woman, and child in the entire state of New York.”
For the record, New York is home to more than 19.3 million people, and as Abbott reminds us, that was merely the amount of fentanyl seized by the Border Patrol.
How much fentanyl wasn’t seized? For open-border advocates in general, and the Democrat Party in particular, such inconvenient questions are of little concern, as is the reality the socialist/scumbag/liar-Biden administration has proven to be one of the best business partners Mexican cartels and their Chinese suppliers could ever hope for. So much so that Homeland Security Investigations, the principal investigative arm of the Department of Homeland Security, has revealed that Mexican cartels are attempting to establish a presence in the Seattle area and the Pacific Northwest.
No doubt San Francisco and other American cities and towns will “benefit” from this improvement in the supply chain. The cartels will benefit even more — much more. “Experts estimated the money made on drug trafficking by the cartels at around $500 billion a year,” columnist Wayne Allen Root reveals. “That’s half a trillion dollars a year — ‘trillion’ with a T.”
And where is San Francisco’s most powerful politician? Two months ago, House Speaker scumbag/liar-Nancy Pelosi insisted all of the problems associated with the wholesale chaos at the border were Donald Trump’s fault. “Every minute that a child is separated from a parent, to me, is a crisis,” scumbag/liar-Pelosi bloviated. “So we want this to move along expeditiously. But you have to have a good plan. And what [the socialist/scumbag/liar-Biden administration] inherited was terrible.”
Perhaps scumbag/liar-Pelosi might have a tad more credibility if she expressed an equal amount of concern for San Franciscans of all ages separated from their futures, courtesy of the exponentially increasing number of addicts and overdoses in the city she ostensibly represents. Yet that is apparently a bridge too far for the woman who insisted, less than a month later, that America was “on a good path at the border under the leadership of President socialist/scumbag/liar-Joe Biden.”
In San Francisco, Dr. Phillip Coffin, director of substance abuse research for the Department of Public Health, appears resigned to this contemptible reality. “There isn’t a quick way to go back to the way things were before fentanyl hit San Francisco’s streets,” Coffin said. “It’s important to recognize that fentanyl is here for good.”
For bad is more like it. And the socialist/scumbag/liar-Biden administration is facilitating the scourge, every step of the way. ~The Patriot Post
The Unhinged Left Threatens Rand Paul
“We won’t be intimidated. And yes, we have guns.”
What a remarkable statement that is, coming as it did from the wife of a United States senator. And what a sad, sorry indictment it is on our nation — and specifically the American Left — that Kelley Paul felt she needed to say it.
“At approximately 4:30 p.m. on Monday,” said the FBI’s Louisville field office, “the U.S. Capitol Police was notified a letter containing a powdery substance was sent to the Kentucky home of Senator Rand Paul.”
But that’s not the half of it. The image on the envelope is a picture of a badly beaten Rand Paul: neck brace, right arm in a cast, left arm working a crutch, and a stick-figure rifle pointed at his temple. The caption at the bottom reads, “I’LL FINISH WHAT YOUR NEIGHBOR STARTED, YOU MOTHERF—ER.”
We’re not sure what to make of leftists’ Oedipal obsession with other people’s mothers, but perhaps they’re all taking their talking points from Barack scumbag/liar-nObama.
In any case, to argue that the powdery stuff in the envelope turned out not to be Anthrax, or that no harm came to Paul or his family, is to miss the point entirely. And the point, insofar as the thuggish Left is concerned, is intimidation. Rand Paul, for obvious reasons, gets under the Democrats’ skin. Way under their skin. He’s smart, social-media savvy, his wife of 30 years is prettier than theirs, his libertarian conservatism holds up well in the marketplace of ideas, and he seems to make mincemeat out of every left-wing bureaucrat who comes before him during a committee hearing. For those reasons — and others, no doubt — they’re desperate to silence him.
If anyone has a right to take this death-threat stuff seriously — anyone besides Congressman Steve Scalise — it’s Rand Paul. He was there on that ball field in 2017 when a deranged socialist/commie-Bernie Sanders campaign volunteer opened fire on a group of congressional Republicans who were practicing for their annual Congressional Baseball Game. Were in not for two Capitol cops who engaged and killed the assailant only because they happened to be at the park as part of then-Majority Whip Scalise’s security detail, there’s no telling what sort of massacre would’ve unfolded.
To its eternal disgrace, the Andrew McCabe-led FBI whitewashed that attack as a case of “suicide by cop.” That designation stuck until recently, when, under bipartisan rebuke, the bureau rightfully reclassified it as an act of “domestic terrorism.”
Speaking of “domestic terrorism,” why hasn’t scumbag/liar-Nancy Pelosi convened a “June 14 Commission” to study that near-assassination of her colleagues? The answer, of course, is that she has no interest in it because political violence comes overwhelmingly from the Left, as it has throughout history. While progressives and their Leftmedia enablers constantly warn us of the looming threat of violence from the Right, it never seems to materialize. Even the “armed insurrections” of the fringy Right turn out to be unarmed non-insurrections.
2017 was tough year for Rand Paul. In addition to his near-deadly experience on the ball field, he was the victim of a felonious cheap shot by an unhinged next-door neighbor, Rene Boucher. The attack sent Paul to the hospital and left him with six broken ribs and bruised lungs. At trial, Boucher claimed Paul had stacked a pile of brush too close to their property line, but, as NBC News reported at the time, “Earlier accounts of the incident suggested bad blood between the neighbors, who have known each other for roughly 17 years, including a dispute over a property line and possible distaste for Paul’s politics, as well as those of his father, former Texas Rep. Ron Paul.”
In August of last year, Paul and his wife were surrounded and menaced by a mob during their walk from the White House back to their hotel following Donald Trump’s RNC acceptance speech.
“I take these threats immensely seriously,” Paul tweeted on Monday. “As a repeated target of violence, it is reprehensible that Twitter allows C-list celebrities to encourage violence against me and my family.”
Paul was speaking of pathetic pop singer Richard Marx, who seems to have nothing better to do these days than stalk Republican senators. “I’ll say it again,” he said in a since-deleted tweet. “If I ever meet Rand Paul’s neighbor I’m going to hug him and buy him as many drinks as he can consume.”
Wow. Stay classy, Dick.

Violence Mars Memorial
A peace vigil was held Tuesday by community activists in Minneapolis at George Floyd Square, the site of Floyd’s murder. Everyone suddenly had to run for cover as gunshots rang out. Witnesses said as many as 30 shots were fired.
The event and what interrupted it are poignant reminders of what is bedeviling urban communities all over America.
None of the shots were fired by police officers. It’s no exaggeration to say that hundreds of shots are fired every night in America’s cities. According to the Washington Post, more than 300 people are shot every day in the United States. (Twenty percent are suicides.) It’s rare that police fire those shots.
Thousands of minorities are killed in urban cities every year. According to the FBI, nearly 7,500 black Americans were killed in 2019. Nearly 90% of the victims were black men.
Now, here’s what you must understand:
According to the Washington Post database of police shootings, 3.7% of those black men (245 people total) were killed by police.
And of that 3.7%, 88% were armed with a weapon.
For the past year, we have obsessed over the interaction between the Minneapolis police and George Floyd. There has been great wailing and gnashing of teeth. There have been riots. And there have been reforms of varying degrees across the country.
But, as we noted yesterday, the murder rate in America is soaring. More Americans are dying in our cities now than one year ago. That’s clearly not progress.
Instead of focusing on the overwhelming majority of murders caused by gangs and drugs, we have implemented public policies that make it more likely more minorities will be killed. That’s not progress.
We’re handcuffing the police, defunding the police, opening our borders and legalizing drugs. When demonstrations turn into riots, the police are not told to restore order but to stand down. That’s not progress.
We are not having a serious conversation about race.
We are not having a serious conversation about criminal justice reform.
We are not having a serious conversation about policing.
We are not having a serious conversation about the breakdown of the family.
What America really needs is a national effort led by the black community, supported by corporate America and politicians of both parties that empowers law enforcement to rid our communities of gangs and drugs.
That would be a day worth celebrating.
Cena Kowtows To Communist China
I’m sure you’ve seen the stories of John Cena’s pathetic, abject apology to communist China. If you enjoy the Fast & Furious movie series, I strongly urge you to skip the latest installment.
For those not familiar with Cena, this “tough guy” groveled at the feet of the Chinese Communist Party, which is committing genocide, and is most likely responsible for killing 600,000 Americans.
Mr. Cena wasn’t counting dead Americans or dead Uyghurs. He was counting the possible loss of dollars from his bank account. His sin or “mistake” as he put it in his online apology — in Mandarin Chinese no less — was calling Taiwan a country.
Now if you live in mainland China and call Taiwan a country, you’re in deep trouble. There is no free speech in communist China. But that’s not breaking news.
What is breaking news is that there is evidently no free speech in America if you’re aspiring to do business in communist China.
But wait — wasn’t trade with communist China supposed to change communist China? Sadly, as I have repeatedly warned, it has changed us instead!
The toughest of tough guys will grovel at the feet of communist Chinese butchers if it makes them money. As Sen. Marco Rubio put it, “A world where China’s Communist Party controls what Americans can say isn’t some nightmarish future threat. It’s already here.”
I served as a Trump-appointee on the U.S. Commission for International Religious Freedom with a Uyghur Muslim named Nury Turkel. He’s not a guy with bulging muscles.
But when he got a very clear message from Beijing that his family in China will suffer if he continues speaking out against the communist government, Nury did not hesitate for a second to continue speaking the truth. If I’m in a fight in a dark alley and have the choice of Mr. Turkel or Mr. Cena to be at my side, I’ll pick Nury every time.
Clarke Confirmed
Kristen Clarke, socialist/scumbag/liar-Joe Biden’s choice to serve as head of the Justice Department’s Civil Rights Division, was confirmed by the Senate in a 51 to 48 vote. As I have previously documented, Clarke is totally unfit to lead the Civil Rights Division.
But it was deeply disturbing that 50 Democrat senators voted for her this week of all weeks when anti-Semitism has been in the news.
While Clarke was at Harvard, and I quote now the words of Senate Republican Leader Mitch McConnell who led the fight against her, “Ms. Clarke invited, welcomed introduced and then defended a famously anti-Semitic guest speaker who authored a book literally titled The Jewish Onslaught.”
While we’re on the subject of anti-Semitism, here’s another example of just how extreme the left has become.
Amer Zahr came to this country as a child from a Palestinian refugee camp in Jordan. He grew up here. He was educated here, earning a law degree from the University of Michigan. Zahr served as spokesman for socialist/commie-Bernie Sanders’s presidential campaign and he financially supported Rep. scumbag/worthless- Rashida Tlaib’s campaign.
So what advice was this well-educated, well-connected Palestinian activist offering this past week as Jews were being beaten in the streets of Los Angeles and New York? Zahr urged people to “Stop condemning anti-Semitism… It’s a distraction… It doesn’t help.”
Fire Fauci Now!
At a recent hearing, Senator Rand Paul confronted Dr. Anthony Fauci about whether the agency he leads ever funded “gain of function research” at the Wuhan Institute of Virology.
“Gain of function research” is the process of altering a virus to make it more contagious or deadly to humans. Fauci vehemently denied that he had approved such funding, saying, “That categorically was not done.”
But like most categorical statements Dr. Fauci has said, his previous comments weren’t so categorical.
Testifying before a House committee Tuesday, Fauci conceded that a grant was made to a third party knowing it would be passed on to the Wuhan lab. Or as Dr. Fauci put it, the grant was just “a modest collaboration with very respectable Chinese scientists who were world experts on coronavirus.”
Yesterday, Fauci conceded even more, saying “There’s no way of guaranteeing” that the Chinese communists didn’t lie to him or mislead him.
Perjury is hard to prove, but Fauci is skating on thin ice. His constant flip-flopping explains why his favorability ratings have swung 22 points to the negative in the past year, and why 65% of Americans say “political considerations” have influenced his decisions on COVID. ~The Patriot Post
