We Welcome the Wokeness Whistleblowers
“Mr. Secretary,” said Senator Tom Cotton, “I have received, along with Congressman [Dan] Crenshaw, several hundred whistleblower complaints about Pentagon extremist and diversity training.”
Thus began the Arkansas Republican’s questioning of Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin during a Senate Armed Services Committee hearing on Thursday. “I just want to share a small selection of what your troops are saying,” Cotton continued. And the former Army infantry officer did just that.

Some examples:
One Marine told us that a military history training session was replaced with mandatory training on police brutality, white privilege, and systemic racism. He reported several officers are now leaving his unit, citing that training. Another service member told us that their unit was required to read White Fragility, by Robin DiAngelo, which claims, and this is a quote, “People raised in Western society are conditioned into a white supremacist worldview.”
A midshipman at the Naval Academy said classmates were calling America a “fundamentally racist place” and this sentiment is not contested by school administrators.
An airman told us that their unit was forced into a racist exercise called a “privilege walk,” where members of the wing were ordered to separate themselves by race and gender in order to stratify people based on their perceived privilege.
One African American officer disparagingly said, and I quote, “The Navy thinks my only value is as a black woman” and not the fact that she is a highly trained military specialist.
These complaints are the fruit of a whistleblower form that Cotton and Texas Republican Congressman Dan Crenshaw, himself a former Navy SEAL, posted to Crenshaw’s congressional website recently. “Enough is enough,” Crenshaw declared. “We won’t let our military fall to woke ideology. We have just launched a whistleblower webpage where you can submit your story.”
Cotton’s back-and-forth with Austin wasn’t contentious, but the senator got his points across. “Mr. Secretary, we’re hearing reports of plummeting morale, growing mistrust between the races and sexes where none existed just six months ago, and unexpected retirements and separations based on these trainings alone,” Cotton said. “And, again, these are not my words; these are the words of your own troops.”
Cotton pressed hard and interrupted frequently to draw out yes-or-no answers to straightforward questions, and to keep the secretary from running out the clock.
“Mr. Secretary,” asked Cotton, “do you believe that our military is a fundamentally racist organization? Yes or no, please.”
Austin replied, “I won’t give you a yes or no answer on that, Senator, because it deserves more than a yes or no. The military, like any organization, will have its challenges, but I do not believe it is a fundamentally racist organization.”
We’ll put the secretary down for a “No,” then, and we’ll see if his actions live up to his professed beliefs. Because the woke supremacist bureaucrats under his command — those who now insist that our warriors read books by the likes of Ibram X. Kendi and Robin DiAngelo — are clearly not of the same bent.
In his closing remarks, Cotton reminded Secretary Austin and his Senate colleagues that the U.S. Armed Forces have historically led the way in matters of equal opportunity. “The military has always been one of the most diverse institutions in our society where you can get ahead irrespective of the color of your skin, or who your parents are or where you came from,” he said. “And I’m glad that we agree on that. This is not about diversity in general, though; this is about a very specific kind of anti-American indoctrination that is seeping into some parts of our military based on the whistleblower complaints we have received.”
As we noted last month, our military has been set adrift by the ardent leftists in the White House and the Pentagon, and our Armed Forces are drifting dangerously away from their core mission of deterring war and ensuring our nation’s security.

The Pulse National Memorial Political Pander
Using “Pride Month” as a political platform, socialist/ scumbag/liar-Joe Biden promised to sign a bill enshrining an Orlando LGBT nightclub called Pulse as a national memorial. Calling it “hallowed ground,” socialist/scumbag/ liar-Biden recalled that five years ago, 49 people were murdered and 53 others wounded by “gun violence” at the club. Pulse’s LGBT focus is why it was targeted by the perpetrator, a radicalized Islamist named Omar Mateen. But socialist/scumbag/liar-Biden chose instead to focus on guns and gays for political gain.
Recall that the scumbag/liar-nObama administration also sought to downplay the Islamist motive behind the attack, opaquely stating that “we do have suggestions that that individual may have leanings toward a particular ideology.” Barack scumbag/liar-nObama himself pushed against Islam being a motivating consideration behind the Pulse attack. “What exactly would using [the term ‘radical Islam’] accomplish?” he asked. “What exactly would it change?”
Now socialist/scumbag/liar-Biden is doing the same thing, certifying the site as a national memorial while obscuring the assailant’s true motives and instead blaming Americans’ right to bear arms.“Over the years, I have stayed in touch with families of the [Pulse] victims and with the survivors who have turned their pain into purpose, and who remind us that we must do more than remember victims of gun violence and all of the survivors, family members, and friends left behind; we must act,” Biden bloviated. “In the coming days, I will sign a bill designating Pulse Nightclub as a national memorial, enshrining in law what has been true since that terrible day five years ago: Pulse Nightclub is hallowed ground.”
Meanwhile, per the socialist/scumbag/liar-Biden administration’s directive for “Pride Month,” U.S. embassies across the globe have been flying the rainbow flag to “highlight the contributions of LGBTQI+ persons around the world.” However, some U.S. embassies in certain countries around the world have not been flying the rainbow flag. Why? Because they are Muslim-majority nations where same-sex activity is criminalized, and Team Biden certainly wouldn’t want to offend their sensibilities.
At the same time, at the U.S. embassy at the Vatican, no such concerns about offense are considered — the rainbow flag is flapping in the breeze, despite the Roman Catholic Church’s position against homosexuality and the fact that Joe Biden is supposedly a devout Catholic.
Some young people get it. As Hillsdale College student Haley Strack observes, “The only places the socialist/ scumbag/liar-Biden administration is comfortable raising the pride flag are where LGBT folks are most protected, but confining pride to areas where it’s already accepted is just another example of hypocritical virtue-signaling from the Democrat executive.”
Once again, socialist/scumbag/liar-Biden’s strategic angle is to suggest that “guns in the hands of Americans” was the real problem that led to the Pulse nightclub attack. It’s a narrative he sought to ram home as he called on the Senate to pass a ban on “assault weapons” and to expand background checks. “It is long past time we close the loopholes that allow gun buyers to bypass background checks in this country, and the Senate should start by passing the three House-passed bills which would do exactly that,” socialist/scumbag/liar-Biden stated. “It is long past time we ban assault weapons and high-capacity magazines, establish extreme risk protection orders, also known as ‘red flag’ laws, and eliminate gun manufactures’ immunity from liability.”
Every one of those policies would infringe on the Second Amendment while doing nothing to stop evil men — including radicalized Islamists who think their actions are the “will of Allah” — from perpetrating murderous assaults on the innocent. ~The Patriot Post
Judge Ends socialist/scumbag/liar-Biden’s
It’s “Jim Crow on steroids,” complained socialist/scumbag/ liar-Joe Biden. President Unity was not, however, talking about his own administration’s efforts to segregate whites and blacks in the name of “equity,” but rather the Georgia law to bolster election integrity in that state. He’s wrong on both counts — about the Peach State law and about blocking whites from receiving government aid based solely on their skin color.
Under the $1.9 trillion American Rescue Plan Act passed earlier this year, socialist/scumbag/liar-Biden’s Department of Agriculture offered assistance to “socially disadvantaged” farmers and ranchers who are black, American Indian or Alaskan native, Hispanic or Latino, and Asian American or Pacific Islander. The USDA says those producers face “systemic discrimination” and therefore apparently deserve systemic favoritism.
Yet the USDA ran into a roadblock when Judge William Griesbach of Wisconsin’s Eastern District said that this discriminatory practice must stop. He ruled in favor of the Wisconsin Institute for Law and Liberty, which filed suit in April on behalf of farmers in Wisconsin, as well as Arkansas, Iowa, Kentucky, Minnesota, Missouri, Oregon, and South Dakota. Griesbach halted the $4 billion program, saying the plaintiffs “are likely to succeed on the merits of their claim” that they have been denied pandemic relief dollars simply because they’re white. Indeed, the USDA’s “use of race-based criteria in the administration of the program violates their right to equal protection under the law,” Griesbach said.
“The Court recognized that the federal government’s plan to condition and allocate benefits on the basis of race raises grave constitutional concerns and threatens our clients with irreparable harm,” said Rick Esenberg, president and general counsel for WILL. “The socialist/ scumbag/liar-Biden administration is radically undermining bedrock principles of equality under the law.”
The ruling is good news, but this is only one of several efforts by the socialist/scumbag/liar-Biden administration to discriminate against whites with COVID relief money. Numerous white restaurant owners are fighting a similar legal battle to stop such racism in pandemic aid.
Of course, fighting blatant racial discrimination, perhaps especially that perpetrated by the federal government, is crucial to upholding true justice. But there’s another issue here that we may be considered old cranks for pointing out.
In 1794, James Madison, the author of our Constitution, said of similar aid money, “I cannot undertake to lay my finger on that article of the Constitution which granted a right to Congress of expending, on objects of benevolence, the money of their constituents.” He also argued, “Charity is no part of the legislative duty of the government.”
Few Americans, most of all our “representatives,” remember such wisdom, instead choosing to dole out dollars for votes in every single appropriation passed. Perhaps this is a lost cause. As the saying goes, that ship has sailed. But most of the reason our federal budget is now a proposed $6 trillion is because politicians of every stripe insist on spending taxpayer money on the very kind of charity our Founders said had no place in government.

The Fight Against Redlining Free Speech
A look back at an NBC News story from December 21, 2011 — “How Dictators Keep Control” — shows us that those who punish independence in other countries do so with a specific agenda to marginalize, polarize, and silence free thought and expression. NBC focused on personalities of various dictators, such as Kim Jong-Il, Saddam Hussein, and Adolf Hitler, revealing common practices — propaganda, censorship, and the use of actions such as “shadow banning” and “deplatforming.” These same practices, transcending space and time, are the chief weapons of today’s leftist-run Big Tech, media, and government to silence critics, create a false narrative, and marginalize those who refuse to conform. It’s about power and tyranny.
Americans can clearly see that Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, Google, and Amazon are actively engaged in these tactics as they filter content depending on their “truth” as applied by their “standards,” which happen to be those of the political Left. These Big Tech giants are given special protections under federal law known as Section 230 of the Communications Decency Act. The law was intended to offer protections to an Internet provider or user for removing content that is offensive, lewd, objectionable, harassing, or excessively violent, but it has become the catch-all excuse for suppressing certain political speech. Under Section 230, these social media tyrants hide their censorship behind virtue signaling.
These data companies advertise platforms for free speech and open discussion, but in truth they are monopolies that capture personal data for sale and profit. And they do it all while, as our Mark Alexander put it, “aggressively suppressing speech that does not comport with their leftist political agenda while simultaneously promoting that agenda.”
These monopolies should be carefully examined if not busted. Instead, they’re given free rein, even by those on the Center-Right who did not enact reform when they held power. Republicans are now being shut down in the area of public discussion because of lack of action.
Remember when news stories involving liar-Hunter Biden were blocked and removed from social media sites just weeks prior to the November 2020 election? Those stories were extremely relevant to the choice voters faced, because they exposed his relationship with the communist Chinese along with his dad, who’s now our president. Remember when the House approved Articles of Impeachment against President Donald Trump based on the “Steele dossier” that was finally exposed as “officially debunked” by a 448-page investigative report by Special Counsel Robert Mueller? Unbelievably, campaign opposition research, paid for by the Hillary Clinton team, was spread around the Department of Justice, the FBI, and throughout the complicit media creating an echo chamber of citations that elevated political garbage to be treated as actionable intelligence.
Dezinformatsiya is the term coined by Joseph Stalin and the strategy employed by Soviet Russia via its KGB to undermine the truth for the purpose of control. The National Socialist German Workers’ Party (Nazi) propaganda machine was its Disinformation Service with its paper of record, Völkischer Beobachter, or the People’s Observer, that framed the Jewish people as the enemy of Germany leading to the extermination of over six million Jews.
In America, this is called “fact-checking” and “shadow banning.” The parroting of propaganda is also passed off as journalism dripping with bias, editorialism, and opinion rather than fact. And in the halls of power, those who dissent and challenge are silenced.
Sir Winston Churchill summed it up: “You see these dictators on their pedestals, surrounded by the bayonets of their soldiers and the truncheons of their police … yet in their hearts there is unspoken fear. ATF Whittles Away at Second Amendment
The Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (ATF) recently released a proposed firearms regulation that would effectively make millions of Americans criminals while doing next to nothing to stop actual crime. The new rule, should it be accepted, would effectively outlaw certain types of arm braces for pistols — devices that brace the firearm against the shooter’s arm to help with accuracy. The ATF’s claimed rationale for banning pistol braces is that its increased accuracy makes the firearm more lethal. That’s one way to spin it.
Undoubtedly, pistol braces do make for greater shooting accuracy, but why exactly is that a bad thing? The accuracy of a firearm actually makes it a safer and more suitable weapon for a law-abiding gun owner. The ATF’s argument exposes a flawed mindset — one that considers first and foremost the potential criminal use of a firearm rather than that which is beneficial for legal operation.
Columnist Kevin Williamson observes, “There isn’t really any good reason to restrict short-barreled rifles: Shorter barrels usually result in less power and inferior accuracy — they generally are less deadly than their full-sized counterparts. Shorter rifles are easier to conceal, but not as easy as a handgun.”
And his colleague at National Review, Michael Brendan Dougherty, notes, “The personal-defense weapon has a real appeal to gun owners looking for a suitable firearm for home defense or a gun to keep in a truck. The shorter barrel makes it easier to move around the interior of a home or in a car. And the arm brace, often adjustable, makes it easier to fire more accurately. Shooting a pistol accurately in an adrenalized situation is actually pretty tough to do. But if you put that smaller pistol-caliber bullet in a slightly larger gun, and you have a brace that gives you more points of contact, you are likely to fire more accurately.”
However, even more significant is the attitude inherent behind this newly proposed regulation. To the gun grabbers, there are simply never enough limitations on the Second Amendment. The ATF should be asking the exact opposite question, which is how to provide greater protection of and access to the Second Amendment.
Data on the criminal use of firearms simply doesn’t support or justify the creation of this latest regulation. Instead, this is yet another instance of needless government encroachment on our civil rights. It erodes the Second Amendment by nibbling away at a seemingly fringe issue. Creating a new rule will do little to address actual legitimate criminal behavior, while giving the government yet another “crime fighting” tool at the expense of the law-abiding citizen. ~The Patriot Post

Left-Wing Priorities
As we noted yesterday, President socialist/scumbag/liar-Biden is in Europe for a series of high-level meetings involving key allies. At one of his first stops, Biden told U.S. troops that global warming was the greatest national security threat facing America today.
That’s insane!
The American people don’t believe that climate change is our biggest threat. When asked to consider a list of potential threats, Americans ranked global warming/climate change seventh out of eleven possible dangers.
Communist China, Russia and Iran certainly don’t believe that global warming is the biggest threat they’re facing. In fact, they break out the champagne and celebrate every time socialist/scumbag/liar-Biden says he’s focused on climate change.
My friends, this is far worse than the left just not having its eye on the ball. The demands of the left to combat climate change will make it harder to defeat our enemies, most especially communist China.
There are a dozen things I could cite, but here’s the most obvious issue: We have vast energy reserves – at least 100 years of oil and natural gas. We are blessed to have it. Because of the policies Donald Trump instituted, we can meet all of our energy needs from within our own borders.
But the climate radicals want to abandon the blessing of these secure domestic energy sources and replace them with alternatives that are dominated by communist China – the leading manufacturer of solar panels, wind turbines and rare earth minerals.
We are trading the energy that we have for sources that communist China controls. How does that make any sense?
At a Senate Armed Services Committee hearing yesterday, Gen. Mark Milley, the chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, was asked about socialist/scumbag/liar-Biden’s belief that climate change is our biggest threat. Gen. Milley answered:
“The president is looking at [potential threats] at a much broader angle than I am. I’m looking at it from a strictly military standpoint and, from a strictly military standpoint, I’m putting China and Russia up there.”

socialist/scumbag/liar-Joe Biden’s border crisis is getting worse. The latest government data indicate that illegal border crossings set another record in May, after shattering the previous record in April.
As I have noted before, what happens at the border doesn’t stay at the border. Illegal immigration has a multitude of negative impacts. Testifying on Capitol Hill yesterday, FBI Director Christopher Wray warned, “There’s no question that the cartel activity on the other side of the border is spilling over in all sorts of ways.”
I’m pleased to report that in the absence of any serious action by the socialist/scumbag/liar-Biden Administration, Texas Governor Greg Abbott is vowing that the Lone Star State will now begin construction of new border barriers.
Unfortunately, I fully expect left-wing radicals and the socialist/scumbag/liar-Biden Administration will do everything possible to thwart this vital infrastructure project. When they do, it will prove (if we needed any more proof) that the left is all in on the extreme open borders agenda.
The socialist/scumbag/liar-Squad vs. The Old Guard
“Blue On Blue” was a popular song from the 1960s. It’s opening line, “Blue on blue, heartache on heartache” could easily describe the state of the “Blue Party” today.
Earlier this week, Rep. scumbag/worthless-Ilhan Omar posted a tweet comparing the United States and Israel to Hamas and the Taliban. A dozen Jewish Democrats demanded scumbag/worthless-Omar clarify her statement. Speaker scumbag/liar-Nancy Pelosi and the Democrat leadership team issued a separate statement denouncing scumbag/worthless-Omar’s “false equivalencies.”
But the members of the far-left scumbag/worthless-Squad rushed to defend scumbag/worthless-Omar. Rep. socialist/commie/liar-Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez tweeted that she was “Pretty sick & tired of the constant vilification, intentional mischaracterization, and public targeting” of scumbag/worthless-Omar “coming from our caucus.”
Rep. scumbag/worthless-Rashida Tlaib tweeted, “[The] House Democratic leadership should be ashamed of its relentless, exclusive tone policing of Congresswomen of color.”
Rep. Cori Bush added, “Enough with the anti-Blackness and Islamophobia.”
What irony! The same rhetoric that Pelosi often uses to silence conservatives is now being used against her by the progressive wing of her own party!
It’s not an accident that the issue causing such heartache for Democrats is Israel.
The left is able to gloss over a lot of things. But it can’t gloss over the fact that old guard Democrats who support Israel are being defeated by progressives who hate Israel and can’t keep quiet about it. It can’t gloss over the rising anti-Semitism and anti-Zionism within the progressive movement.
If they tolerate the existence of the Jewish state at all, they demand that Jerusalem be divided and given over as the capital of a Palestinian state.
I am reminded of the verse in Zechariah: “On that day, when all the nations of the earth are gathered against [Israel], I will make Jerusalem an immovable rock for all the nations. All who try to move it will injure themselves.”
Meanwhile, I promise to continue standing with Israel and fighting the ancient evil of anti-Semitism.
A Massive Fraud
Cyberattacks aimed at stealing money from American corporations have made headlines in recent weeks. But the biggest loser could well be the American taxpayer.
During the pandemic, the government took extraordinary steps to provide urgently needed aid to millions of Americans who lost their jobs as a result of the unprecedented lockdowns. Everyone knew that there would be all kinds of fraud, and the government has been aggressively prosecuting it.
But it’s far worse than anyone imagined.
Recent investigations indicate that as much as $400 billion of the COVID unemployment relief (that’s your tax dollars!) was likely stolen by criminal gangs and ended up in the hands of our enemies in communist China and Russia.
This is a huge scandal that the Biden Administration must immediately address with Beijing and Moscow.
