Deep State Deep-Sixed COVID Probe
In a recently published article titled “The Lab-Leak Theory: Inside the Fight to Uncover COVID-19’s Origins,” investigative journalist Katherine Eban details how individuals within the U.S. State Department sought to suppress any notion of the coronavirus having originated in a lab in Wuhan, China. Needless to say, the evidence presented of an intentional cover-up by deep state actors (and a complicit Leftmedia) is both compelling and deeply troubling. This scandal exposes the reality that political considerations motivated individuals within the State Department to hide the facts from the American people.
Eban writes:
Interviews with more than 40 people, and a review of hundreds of pages of U.S. government documents, including internal memos, meeting minutes, and email correspondence, found that conflicts of interest, stemming in part from large government grants supporting controversial virology research, hampered the U.S. investigation into COVID-19’s origin at every step. In one State Department meeting, officials seeking to demand transparency from the Chinese government say they were explicitly told by colleagues not to explore the Wuhan Institute of Virology’s gain-of-function research, because it would bring unwelcome attention to U.S. government funding of it.
In her lengthy article, Eban, who is clearly on the Left and no fan of Donald Trump, found some significant information: “Thomas DiNanno, former acting assistant secretary of the State Department’s Bureau of Arms Control, Verification, and Compliance, wrote that staff from two bureaus, his own and the Bureau of International Security and Nonproliferation, ‘warned’ leaders within his bureau ‘not to pursue an investigation into the origin of COVID-19’ because it would ‘open a can of worms’ if it continued.”
And what was this “can of worms”? The answer appears to be the fact that the U.S. government was involved in funding “gain-of-function” research, with some of this funding just happening to go to the Wuhan Institute of Virology. Eban observes, “To one former federal health official, the situation boiled down to this: An institute ‘funded by American dollars is trying to teach a bat virus to infect human cells, then there is a virus’ in the same city as that lab. It is ‘not being intellectually honest not to consider the hypothesis’ of a lab escape.”
DiNanno asserted that the warnings against digging in the wrong places “smelled like a cover-up” and he “wasn’t going to be a part of it.” Well, if it smells like a cover-up, then it probably is a cover-up. Tellingly, one of the U.S. officials advising the team investigating the COVID-19 origin back in early 2020 was the director of the State Department’s Biological Policy Staff in the Bureau of International Security and Nonproliferation, Christopher Park, and he told them “not to say anything that would point to the U.S. government’s own role in gain-of-function research.” And Park’s motive? Back in 2017, he “had been involved in lifting a U.S. government moratorium on funding for gain-of-function research.”
Former Secretary of State Mike Pompeo, who back in April of 2020 pointed to “a significant amount of evidence that [COVID-19] came from that laboratory in Wuhan,” appeared to confirm Eban’s investigation. “[NIH] folks were trying to suppress what we were doing at the State Department as well,” he stated Thursday. Furthermore, Pompeo eyed Dr. Anthony Fauci’s role, contending, “To hear Fauci this morning talk about how the Chinese have an interest in us discovering what happened is just crazy talk. The Chinese have a deep interest in covering it up. They have done so pretty darn effectively.” Moreover, Fauci voiced “the exact same theories that the Chinese Communist Party has presented for over a year now,” Pompeo continued. “He implies good faith for the Chinese Communist Party: We are on the 32nd anniversary of the Tiananmen Square [incident]. For Dr. Fauci to go out and think the CCP cared that there were people in Wuhan who were dying … is just naive beyond all possible imagination.”
Actually, as Pompeo well knows, it’s not naivety at all but rather Fauci’s calculated decision to cover up his possible involvement in helping to fund gain-of-function research at the Wuhan lab that almost certainly unleashed a global pandemic responsible for the deaths of millions. ~The Patriot Post

When Donald Trump was president, the media relentlessly and falsely criticized him and his administration for creating a border crisis.
Time magazine’s infamous fake news cover back in 2018 featured photographs of a crying two-year-old girl from Honduras looking up at a stern, heartless President Trump. Other media outlets attempted to make those Barack scumbag/liar-nObama-era cages look like Trump’s holding pens for migrant children. When a father and his daughter drowned crossing the Rio Grande? It was Trump’s fault for denying people asylum.
The message was crystal clear: Trump was directly responsible for breaking up migrant families and treating them inhumanely, and people were dying because of his policies.
The child in that iconic Time cover was never alone. She was crying at the sight of Border Patrol officers questioning her mother after illegally crossing the U.S.-Mexico border. Again, the cages were scumbag/liar-nObama’s and even some of the photos were from during his presidency. And rather than wait on their asylum application, the father impatiently tried swimming across the Rio Grande.
Nonetheless, the media would stop at nothing to make sure every single lost child or dead migrant was somehow blamed on Trump.
In reality, those same Trump policies were far more humane, as they didn’t give migrants the incentive in the first place, and thereby didn’t place their lives in danger.
President socialist/scumbag/liar-Joe Biden decided to take a different approach, but he didn’t even wait until after his inauguration.
In fact, it was during his campaign for president when socialist/scumbag/liar-Biden called for the very border surge the media currently ignores, effectively announcing to anyone in Mexico, Central America, or abroad that the border between the United States and Mexico would be wide open under his administration.
In response to a question posed by Jorge Ramos of Univision asking why Latinos should trust socialist/ scumbag/liar-Biden as president, he replied, “I would in fact make sure that there is, that we immediately surge to the border — all those people are seeking asylum. They deserve to be heard.”
As columnist John Kass writes, “Desperate migrants heard his call as a promise that his arms would be as wide open as our southern border. His wish came true. Now socialist/scumbag/liar-Biden owns it. All of it.”
Kass adds, “ socialist/scumbag/liar-Biden immediately stopped construction on the border walls and began to unravel and end the Trump administration policy that kept the border better contained. The most significant of these changes was socialist/scumbag/liar-Biden ending the Trump administration ‘Remain in Mexico’ order that kept migrants from rushing the border while they appealed for amnesty status. All that ended. Homeland Security Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas said that this year the U.S. is on pace to see more illegal border crossings than it has seen in 20 years.”
It’s not that the socialist/scumbag/liar-Biden people didn’t know this would happen. Former acting Homeland Security Secretary Chad Wolf was just one of many who warned the incoming socialist/scumbag/liar-Biden administration about what would happen if it dismantled Trump’s policies overnight.
While Democrats celebrate the surge, safely hiding from behind fences and troops surrounding the U.S. Capitol, people are dying at the border. And it’s time to lay blame where it belongs: at the feet of socialist/scumbag/liar-Joe Biden and his AWOL “border czar” scumbag/liar-Kamala Harris.
There’s hardly a day that goes by without another tragedy involving migrants attempting to reach the United States, encouraged by a president who told them to run for the border but didn’t give a damn about what would happen to them once they got here.
The stories include a capsized boat in which 10 Cuban migrants drowned, and separate crashes involving vehicles filled with migrants near the border. One estimate puts the number of migrant deaths this year at 100. Throw in the fact that illegal aliens have contributed to soaring rates of crime and violence in towns and cities across the country, and we’ve got a real crisis.
Except Democrats and their sycophants in the media won’t admit there’s a crisis. They’ll continue blaming Trump, ignoring reality, and standing by while more migrant children and their families lose their lives.
This is yet another prime example of Democrats claiming to care about the downtrodden while creating situations that place them in harm’s way. Then they have the gall to blame everyone else for the all-too-predictable results. ~The Patriot Post
Big Tech’s Anti-Semitism Problem
We live in a nation where arguably offensive things someone said umpteen years ago are grounds for canceling that person now. Jobs are lost, credibility is destroyed, and an Orwellian two minutes of hate is allowed against the offender, all because of exposure to the kinds of intemperate things many folks say in their weaker moments.
Yet some kinds of hate speech are, to borrow more Orwell, more equal than others.
“If I Were a Jew” was the title of a recently rediscovered blog post written way back in 2007 by Kamau Bobb, a black man who until this week was the head of Google’s “diversity team.” In that post, written on a blog he still maintains but while he was a research associate at Georgia Tech, Bobb wrote that if he were Jewish he’d “be concerned about my insatiable appetite for war and killing in defense of myself.”
“If I were a Jew today, my sensibilities would be tormented,” he wrote. “I would find it increasingly difficult to reconcile the long cycles of oppression that Jewish people have endured and the insatiable appetite for vengeful violence that Israel, my homeland, has now acquired.”
Upon discovery, he apologized, saying, “What was intended as a critique of particular military action fed into anti-Semitic tropes and prejudice.” One wonders if the word “black” had been substituted for “Jewish” whether he might have understood that he didn’t “feed into” anything; he clearly articulated and advocated those tropes.
A mild form of cancellation came Thursday, when Google announced that Bobb was a little too “diverse” for its diversity team, so he has been reassigned elsewhere in the company. Not fired, mind you, just shuffled. Why was he hired for that post in the first place? As Meghan McCain joked, “They’re Google. They should have googled him.”
Perhaps Facebook will do better. Or not.
The social media site that relentlessly demotes conservative or “unapproved” views about any number of subjects, resulting in real economic damage to conservative people and brands, regularly allows anti-Semitic posts of even worse nature than Bobb’s.
Well, sort of.
During the recent Hamas-fueled violence in Israel and Palestinian-controlled areas, The Jerusalem Prayer Team’s Facebook page — liked by 77 million people — was massively spammed. “On [a] single day, we received over 800,000 comments, the overwhelming majority of which were very negative, often crude, and anti-Semitic,” said JPT spokesman Michael Vaughn. Many posts included Nazi images and propaganda. “Clearly, this was not random. Someone somewhere was orchestrating this barrage.”
Facebook didn’t seem to have a problem with the people posting those comments, at least not until two days later when, Vaughn said, “With no notice, no attempt to reach us, Facebook told us they had unpublished our JPT Facebook, citing this was due to the page being spam and violating their policies.”
Just to clarify, Facebook punished the Jewish group for anti-Semitic hatred directed its way.
Even the left-of-center Anti-Defamation League has pleaded with Facebook to correct this widespread problem. As the group wrote in a letter, “Facebook’s inaction has helped spread hatred of Jews and has contributed to historical high levels of antisemitism in America and antisemitism online and offline across the globe.”
For social media companies that are part of the increasingly anti-Semitic Democrat Party’s power structure, this hatred is a feature, not a bug. ~The Patriot Post
Leftmedia Obfuscation Over Nation’s Spiking Crime
Violent crime has been spiking across the nation’s largest metro areas over the past year. That much isn’t even news anymore. But also for much of last year, the Leftmedia willfully downplayed the growing violence and rioting associated with Black Lives Matter and antifa thuggery with infamous euphemisms like “mostly peaceful protests.” Given that Donald Trump is no longer president, is it possible that could change? Don’t count on it.
Crime really spiked after the death of George Floyd, a career criminal who was lionized by BLM and used to justify painting all police departments across the country as racist. Leftist politicians were quick to cater to the emotive and absolutely irrational demands of these “anti-racists” with their “defund the police” rhetoric. What these radical leftist groups already had in common was a deep dislike of police, a position BLM justified with its dubious “systemic racism” charge.
Meanwhile, as police across the country were continually attacked for simply doing their jobs, police departments began pulling back from policing some of the most crime-ridden neighborhoods, and the predictable result is that crime rates have spiked. It’s about as easy a cause-and-effect case as one can imagine, yet the Leftmedia continues to feign bewilderment as to the cause behind the rising violence.
Case in point is the Washington Post, from which many other media outlets take their cues. The Post recently ran a couple of articles “wrestling” with the reality of rising crime. One article is titled, “A county, hit by the pandemic, grapples with soaring crime after spending a decade lowering it.” The Post notes that in Prince George’s County, Maryland, murders are up nearly double the rate of last year and that “for the first time in a long time, lawmakers say, residents are once again citing safety as a top concern.”
To what does the Post attribute the rising crime? Well, the Leftmedia rag wasn’t about to suggest that BLM’s “defund the police” demands or reduced policing had anything to do with it. No, the Post blames “the pandemic, historic unemployment, and ebbing social services.”
This one story is like a thousand others because, for the Leftmedia, preserving the “systemically racist police” narrative is more important than telling the truth about what is directly causing the sudden rise in crime. When society is deemed at fault for the actions of individuals, then the blaming of societal institutions, such as the police, will always be the go-to scapegoat. ~The Patriot Post
Cruel and Unusual Punishment for the Capitol Rioters
They keep calling it “The People’s House,” but it’s not — at least not anymore. The National Guard may finally be gone, but the U.S. Capitol is now scumbag/liar-Nancy Pelosi’s House, Chuck scumbag/liar-Schumer’s House, socialist/scumbag/liar-Joe Biden’s House. And it has been since January 6.
But worse than that, the Capitol is now a symbol of both elitism and two-tiered justice: elitism on the part of our elected representatives, who don’t give a rip when real rioting comes to our inner cities and leaves real businesses and real people in ruins, but who head for the fainting couch when an unarmed non-insurrection comes to their neck of the woods; and two-tiered justice for the dozens of pro-Trump Capitol protesters, who’ve been languishing in a DC-area jail for months while waiting to be tried for crimes ranging from the petty to the semi-serious, while the authentic thugs of antifa and Black Lives Matter simply skate away from their criminality without any accountability.
Remember last year, when those easily identifiable vandals yanked down or otherwise defiled one statue after another all across America? Or burned and looted and rioted in one urban center after another? Remember when those Portland hoodlums assaulted federal officers and tried to burn down a federal courthouse? Right, then, off ya go.
Not so for the Trump supporters who stormed the Capitol.
Investigative journalist Julie Kelly has written compellingly about the January 6 detainees, whose punishment for having protested the results of the 2020 presidential election is Job One for socialist/scumbag/liar-Joe, scumbag/liar-Nancy, and Attorney General Merrick Garland. “So far,” she writes, “more than 400 people have been arrested in the nationwide manhunt with more charges to come, and at the same time, emerging evidence proves law enforcement allowed protestors to enter and remain in the building.”
We wonder: How strong is the trespassing case — which is what most of these cases are — when law enforcement doesn’t attempt to stop the trespassers from trespassing? And are there really no more pressing matters than this for our Department of Justice? Is there really nothing more important than to make the harshest example possible of a disorganized mob of pro-Trump protesters?
Apparently not. As the Daily Wire reports, “The U.S. Attorney for Washington, D.C., has called in prosecutors from … the Violent Crime Narcotics Trafficking Section, Homicide Section, Asset Forfeiture and Money Laundering Section, Sex Offense and Domestic Violence Section, and Major Crimes Section. In some cases the prosecutors from those departments are prosecuting misdemeanors only.”
Imagine the stuck-pig squealing we’d have heard if John Durham had enlisted the help of such heavy hitters to prosecute his Russia collusion investigation. Does anyone doubt that FBI lawyer Kevin Clinesmith would’ve gotten just a slap on the wrist for the very real crime of having falsified evidence for a FISA warrant to spy on a sitting U.S. president? That’s two-tiered justice: one standard for the Left and another for the Right.
As Politico reported on April 19, most of the protesters who were arrested have since been released to await their trials, “but dozens of those deemed to be dangerous, flight risks or at high risk of obstructing justice were ordered held without bond [and] placed in so-called restrictive housing — a move billed as necessary to keep the defendants safe, as well as guards and other inmates.”
“Restrictive housing” is a euphemism for 23-hour-a-day isolation. But by all means, let’s keep the guards and the hardened criminals safe from those middle-aged, beer-bellied “white supremacists” with the MAGA hats and the Trump flags.
To the everlasting shame of House and Senate Republicans, the issue of the detainees’ treatment has been taken up not by them but by two Senate Democrats, dinky/liar-Elizabeth Warren and scumbag-Dick Durbin. Let that sink in.
“Solitary confinement is a form of punishment that is cruel and psychologically damaging,” dinky/liar-Warren said in an interview. “And we’re talking about people who haven’t been convicted of anything yet.” dinky/liar-Warren rightly believes they’re being punished into cooperation. scumbag-Durbin says solitary confinement should be “a rare exception” with “clear justification.”
So just where are all those Republicans? Those constitutional conservatives? When Big Government statistics like dinky/liar-Warren and scumbag-Durbin are stronger champions of their political opponents’ constitutional rights than the entire GOP caucus, something’s wrong. Really wrong. Disgracefully wrong.
Most of the detainees have no criminal record, and yet, as Kelly writes, “The jail allows them to leave their cells for an hour a day. Religious services are not allowed; they can’t exercise and access to personal hygiene such as showers is nearly nonexistent, according to defense lawyers and relatives I’ve spoken with.”
How are these not the sort of “cruel and unusual punishments” forbidden by the Constitution’s Eighth Amendment? And where’s the “speedy and public trial” as guaranteed by the Constitution’s Sixth Amendment?
These people aren’t killers. They’re political protesters. They don’t believe socialist/scumbag/liar-Joe Biden got all 81 million of those votes on the up-and-up, and they certainly don’t believe that this flawed election was properly investigated and adjudicated. And for those beliefs, the Democrats want to punish them, cruelly and unusually. That’s the real Capitol offense.
socialist/scumbag/liar-Joe Biden called the January 6 riot “the worst attack on our democracy since the Civil War.” It’s a claim that’s both laughable and shameful. And let’s remember: The only person killed during that “deadly insurrection” was 35-year-old Ashli Babbitt, an unarmed 14-year Air Force veteran who was shot by a still-unnamed Capitol policeman.

In Brief: socialist/scumbag/liar-Biden Lies About Trump’s Tax Cuts
Former restaurant CEO Andy Puzder knows how taxes work. And he knows when socialist/scumbag/liar-Biden’s lying. He explains:
In a speech last week introducing his proposed $6 trillion 2022 budget, President socialist/scumbag/liar-Biden claimed that the benefits of the Republican Party’s Tax Cuts and Jobs Act [TCJA] “went to the wealthiest 1% of America.” It’s not the first time he’s made this claim.
In his first speech to a joint session of Congress, socialist/scumbag/liar-Biden described the TCJA as a “huge windfall” for “those at the very top.” To right that wrong, he proposes getting rid of loopholes and raising the top tax rate from its current 37% to 39.6%. Why? So that “the wealthiest 1% of Americans” will “pay their fair share,” a phrase that the president and his fellow Democrats repeat with abandon.
But there’s a big problem with socialist/ scumbag/liar-Biden’s claims: They are simply untrue.
Puzder notes some of the numbers:
Let’s start with that supposedly “huge windfall” that went to the “wealthiest 1%” of America. While the TCJA reduced effective income tax rates for all income groups in 2018, the top 1% experienced no windfall. Rather, according to the most recent IRS income tax data, the top 1% of taxpayers paid $616 billion in 2018, roughly the same amount they paid in 2017. But the bottom 99% paid $65 billion less. Some “windfall.” If the TCJA was a tax cut for the rich, it was the weirdest one in the history of tax cuts for the rich.
But did those evil 1-percenters pay their fair share? Turns out they did — and certainly a larger share than when tax rates were last at Biden’s proposed 39.6%.
In 2018, while the top 1%‘s share of adjusted gross income declined slightly to 20.9% (from 21.0% in 2017), its share of the income tax burden increased to 40.1% from 38.5%. “Fair” is in the eye of the beholder, but consider: The top 1%’s share of taxes paid nearly doubles its share of income. For a more “fair share” perspective, consider that in 2018, the top 1% paid more in income taxes than the bottom 90% of taxpayers — combined.
But wait, there’s more!
socialist/scumbag/liar-Biden also might be surprised to learn that the top 1% actually paid a higher percentage of income taxes in 2018 under the TCJA than in any year since at least 2001 – when it paid 33.2%. That includes each of the five years from 2013 to 2017 following the scumbag/liar-nObama tax hikes, when the top rate last stood at 39.6% – the rate socialist/scumbag/liar-Biden is currently proposing.
You read that right. The highest earners paid a greater share of income taxes after the Republicans’ 2017 tax cuts than they paid after the Democrats’ 2013 tax increase.
There are many reasons for this, which Puzder goes on to explain, but the bottom line is that Democrats are not telling the truth about who pays and how much. The Republican law “was not a windfall for the rich, and it did not result in the rich paying less than their fair share of income taxes.” Quite the contrary, he says, “It closed loopholes — the largest of which Democrat leadership would like to restore — that primarily benefit wealthy taxpayers.”
Just don’t expect Democrats to ever admit it.

This may shock and amaze you if your blinders are on, but President socialist/scumbag/liar-Biden is not only not a uniter; he is actively trying to divide Americans on race — and other issues — purely for raw political power. There is no other plausible explanation.
During former President Trump’s entire presidency and ever since, we’ve been bombarded daily with the narrative that he is divisive and a racist. His political opponents and the media distorted his words, such as those he said in the aftermath of the Charlottesville attacks, to paint him as sympathetic to white supremacists. That was always absurd, but it is now largely accepted as conventional wisdom.
Of course, the real ploy was to demonize and marginalize all Trump supporters, not just Trump. The implication was that anyone who would support such a bigot must be a bigot. Truth be told, this nicely fits the left’s decadeslong smear of Republicans as racist as evidenced by their ideology.
Before you scoff at this as wanton hyperbole, consider that I’m not alone in my thoughts. A Rasmussen Reports poll released June 1 revealed that 39% of likely voters believe race relations have deteriorated since socialist/ scumbag/liar-Biden’s election.
Consider also the left’s almost-farcical crusade to tie conservative policies to racism. Examples abound: Conservatives favor border enforcement because of their racial animus against Mexicans entering the United States; conservatives are insensitive to examples of police misconduct against African Americans because they’re racist; they favor tax cuts to further enrich the wealthy and disadvantage minorities; they promote school choice initiatives to keep minorities down; and — everyone’s favorite — they support voter ID measures and other laws in the name of ensuring election integrity but really to suppress the black vote.
If you think I’m exaggerating, note that CNN’s Chris Cuomo suggested there is a “through-line” from the Tulsa race massacre to Republicans’ election bills. He added that the GOP is “intensifying its efforts to strip people of color of their rights to vote, the boldest attempt since the era of Jim Crow.” I wonder what American leftists would say about the fact that 46 of the 47 European democracies reportedly have election voter ID laws. Are they all racist, too?
There is, after all, a method to the left’s maddening-ness. Since the scumbag/liar-nObama presidency, leftists have identified white supremacy as rampant and as a major threat to national security. They maintain that white supremacists are legion and are domestic terrorists. In his speech in Tulsa, ostensibly to commemorate the 100th anniversary of the race riots and atrocities against African Americans in that city, socialist/scumbag/liar-Biden underscored this point with the preposterous declaration that white supremacy is the most dangerous threat to America today. Are you kidding me, President socialist/ scumbag/liar-Biden? Have you no shame?
That’s not all socialist/scumbag/liar-Biden said in Tulsa to stir the racial pot, making clear that his primary purpose was not to honor the lives and misfortunes of the black victims in Tulsa in 1921. He disgracefully politicized the entire event, using it not for racial reconciliation but racial agitation — and as a platform to vilify his political opponents.
socialist/scumbag/liar-Biden said: “(Y)oung black entrepreneurs are just as capable of succeeding, given the chance, as white entrepreneurs are, but they don’t have lawyers. … They don’t have accountants. … (Y)ou turn on the stations … And I don’t know many commercials you’ll see … two to three out of five have mixed-race couples in them. That’s not by accident. They’re selling soap, man.”
Trump haters can say what they want about Trump, but did he call his accusers racist — ever? It would have been more justified than their ubiquitous claim that we’re all racist for the simple reason that they turn everything into a race issue. They also reject colorblindness as a societal aspiration. They insist we look at and treat one another differently based on our race — not as unique individuals God created.
This insanity has got to stop. I know I write about this issue often, but as long as the left keeps fraudulently smearing us as racists, we have got to fight back. These vile slanders must not go unanswered.
People have to call socialist/scumbag/liar-Biden out on his flagrant race-baiting. They must quit depicting socialist/scumbag/liar-Biden as a nice and innocent man when he is abusing his powerful position and his bully pulpit to pit us against each other and severely damage racial relations. Enough is enough.
