I'm getting really, really tired of being lied to. From X, "Foreign beef is sourced and imported at below cost of production prices. Upon processing and repackaging, foreign beef can be sold as "Product of the USA." 22 countries export to the US, we are their cash cow and we don't have a clue how animals are raised, either here or anywhere else. Who needs this damn government for anything? LIe, LIE, LIE. LIE.
I raise my own ducks and chickens no antibiotics, no hormones, and give them as birthday presents to my kids. Sometimes I gift some to friends.......they all want me to raise them for them, because the flavor and texture is so fantastic. Unfortunately on a small scale the price is more than double per bird by the time they are ready to go into the freezer.....making it unaffordable for most. I also raise pigs that have never been genetically altered, the same with those, when people taste the meat they want it, but the price is so much higher because of the quality feed and the length of time it takes to raise them.
The point is unless someone is doing it on a very large scale, thousands of them, they can't get a brake on the feed and you end up working your tale off to brake even. Hardly an incentive for a business!
It's the same for my organic farmer. Hard work. Expensive to do. His processer is right over the Indiana border. His chicken is wonderul. So is everything else. I buy his high Omega-3 raw milk, my dogs and I drink it and eat their meat. It costs—but I also don't eat regular meals as such, I eat something but not 'meals.' My girls eat their oxtail, heart, liver, ground beef, raw egg, bones and drink their milk, which is in glass bottles. Plastic does not touch the milk. His milk is GOLD. My girls get some veggies, maybe cooked potato or rice and/or some raw carrot, at least that is cheap. Not cheap to do this but their coats are better and I feel they are healthier. Too much junk in kibble overall. But, I also try and stay away from vets and their cursed jxx's. Rabies jxx lasts 10 years and they want to shove that thing in as soon as they can, and they can take it shove it where the sun don't shine. I keep an eye out for anything that's not right, if I had to, I would take them to the vet, but not for jxx's. And they are healthy and beautiful, too.
It's a problem when all the related industries are part of the corporate jxx system. Jxx people till they succumb to something, then sell you something else, like chemo or whatever. They create it, they sell it and they require supporting industries to act as their pimps, to say it rudely.
Part of the problem for my farmer is that he is "Grandfather'ed in" to Ohio, when it should be OUR choice what we eat and drink, without additives, chemicals and agents polluting everything. And he is getting older, so I have my worries about who will take over for him. He thought under Biteme, that he would retire. We were all concerned.
BTW, I have not been sick since 2018, have drunk his milk over a decade, maybe 12+ years—and that doctor almost killed me, his pharma could not be combined with milk. I had made a special appointment to meet this guy, to tell him specifically about my raw milk. He never bothered to check his antibiotic for milk problems. I assumed he had written it down and remembered. NO, he didn't. My former doctor had been wonderful, but he retired because he saw the handwriting on the wall with 0care. He told me then that they were then forced under international medical codes. I can see what the end goal is of that....
As I got worse and worse, after 2-3 weeks of looking online, I finally found out that that antibiotic could NOT be combined with milk. I still taught, though. If I had any trust in doctors before him, I lost that trust completely.
