Thousand Currents – the group funding the core operations of BLM – is known to have a terrorist Susan Rosenberg as a Vice Chair on its board. Susan is an expert in civil unrest and cultural warfare. She was the ringleader of “America’s only woman-run terror group”. She tried to derail Ronald Reagan’s reelection campaign by orchestrating a violent movement based on racial oppression and spent 16 years in federal prison for domestic terrorism.

Susan Rosenberg
Susan Lisa Rosenberg is a domestic American terrorist active in many radical movements of the 1970s. After living as a fugitive for two years, she was arrested in 1984 while unloading 740 pounds of dynamite and weapons from a car into a storage locker in Cherry Hill, New Jersey. She had also been sought as an accomplice in the 1979 prison escape of Assata Shakur.
Rosenberg started out as a member of the 1960s revolutionary group Weather Underground and indulged in various forms of terrorism — including bombings at an FBI field office in Staten Island, the 1983 bombing of the United States Capitol Building, the U.S. Naval War College and the New York Patrolmen’s Benevolent Association.
Rosenberg was sentenced to 58 years in prison on the weapons and explosives charges. She spent 16 years in prison and was released in 2001 through executive clemency by then President Bill Clinton on his final day in office. Her commutation produced a wave of criticism by police and New York elected officials at the time.
Thousand Currents funds Black Lives Matter
Thousand Currents funds grassroots groups and movements led by women, youth, and Indigenous Peoples in the Global South, as per its website. In the last 35 years, Thousand Currents has invested more than US$10 million in its 1,000 operations. The group claims to be currently working with and connected to over 200 million women, small farmers, Indigenous Peoples, urban residents, sexual and ethnic minorities, and youth.
