Dianne Fein-stein staying in her post as the top Democrat on the Senate Judiciary Committee, sidestepping questions about the veteran party elder after she praised Republicans’ handling of the confirmation proceedings for Supreme Court nominee Amy Coney Barrett. […] “I’ve had a long and serious talk with Sen. Fein-stein,” Senate Minority Leader Chuck scumbag-Schumer told reporters when asked if he was looking to make changes atop the powerful committee. “That’s all I’m going to say about it right now.” 2020 democrats are not happy with Senator Fein-stein for not pushing the party narrative to seek and destroy SCOTUS nominee, Judge Amy Coney Barrett. This helps highlight the 2016 motive to remove Fein-stein from the vice-chair of the Senate Intelligence Committee. Senator Fein-stein was the vice-chair of the SSCI during the 2016 operation to stop Trump & then frame the “insurance policy” against the incoming president-elect administration. However, in order for the SSCI, the centerpiece for the legislative coup, to be successfully weaponized against President Trump in 2017, senate leadership knew they needed a different person, a more reliable partisan willing to usurp the administration; and that is why Fein-stein was told to abdicate her position and was replaced by Senator Mark Warner....
Trump Administration, 11 States, Launch Antitrust Lawsuit Against Search Behemoth Google

{ theepochtimes.com } ~ The U.S. Department of Justice and 11 states have filed a federal antitrust lawsuit against Google accusing the internet search giant of unlawful monopolistic behavior in its search business...“Google is the gateway to the internet and a search advertising behemoth,” U.S. Deputy Attorney General Jeff Rosen told reporters. “It has maintained its monopoly power through exclusionary practices that are harmful to competition.” Attorney General William Barr weighed in via press release. “Since my confirmation, I have prioritized the Department’s review of online market-leading platforms to ensure that our technology industries remain competitive. This lawsuit strikes at the heart of Google’s grip over the internet for millions of American consumers, advertisers, small businesses and entrepreneurs beholden to an unlawful monopolist.” The lawsuit against Google was filed Oct. 20 in federal court in the District of Columbia by the federal government and 11 states—Arkansas, Florida, Georgia, Indiana, Kentucky, Louisiana, Mississippi, Missouri, Montana, South Carolina, and Texas—against Google LLC of Mountain View, California. The proceeding was brought under Section 2 of the Sherman Act, a federal statute, in an effort “to restrain Google LLC (Google) from unlawfully maintaining monopolies in the markets for general search services, search advertising, and general search text advertising in the United States through anticompetitive and exclusionary practices, and to remedy the effects of this conduct,” according to the 64-page legal complaint. According to the plaintiffs, Google owns or controls about 80 percent of the market for search channels and accounts for 90 percent of all searches in the United States, and 95 percent of all mobile searches. UN arms embargo on Iran ends

However, the other parties to the Iran deal did not accept the American move as valid. “Every nation that seeks peace and stability in the Middle East and supports the fight against terrorism should refrain from any arms transactions with Iran,” Pompeo said. “Providing arms to Iran will only aggravate tensions in the region, put more dangerous weapons into the hands of terrorist groups and proxies, and risk increasing threats to the security of Israel and other peaceful nations.” “Any nation that sells weapons to Iran is impoverishing the Iranian people by enabling the regime’s diversion of funds away from the people and toward the regime’s military aims,” he said. Iranian Foreign Minister Javad Zarif called it “a momentous day for the international community, which, in defiance of malign US efforts, has protected” the Iran deal. “Today’s normalization of Iran’s defense cooperation with the world is a win for the cause of multilateralism and peace and security in our region,” he said. Defense Minister Benny Gantz said Israel must be “stronger and more determined than in the past” in light of the embargo ending. “Iran was never an Israeli problem, but foremost a global and regional problem,” he said. “As defense minister, I will continue to lead the necessary actions to prevent Iran’s spread and armament with our old and new partners. All the countries of the world must join this important effort.” Russia has openly eyed arms sales to Iran in recent weeks. Russian Ambassador to Iran Levan Dzhagaryan last week said Moscow would be willing to sell Iran the S-400 missile-defense system. Last month, Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Sergei Ryabkov hailed “new opportunities in our cooperation with Iran” to emerge after the embargo ends....

{ breitbart.com } ~ A photograph has emerged showing former Vice President scumbag drumbling lips liar-Joe Biden posing with oligarch Kenes Rakishev of Kazakhstan, who once reportedly explored business with scumbag drumbling lips liar-Biden’s son, Hunter Biden. The photo, first published last year at an anti-corruption website called the Kazhakhstani Initiative on Asset Recovery (KIAR), purports to show Hunter Biden and scumbag drumbling lips liar-Joe Biden, together with Kazakhstan’s former prime minister, Karim Massimov, at far right. At far left, the photo shows Kenes Rakishev, described as “a relative and junior partner of oligarch Timur Kulibayev.” Rakishev’s personal website identifies him as an “international businessman, investor and entrepreneur.” It adds that he is “regarded as one of the most influential businessmen in Kazakhstan,” with “business interests spanning technology, oil & gas, finance, shipbuilding, and metals & mining industries.” Rakishev and Hunter Biden once reportedly explored business opportunities together. The UK Daily Mail reported Oct. 16: The Mail can reveal that between 2012 and 2014, Hunter worked as a sort of go-between for Kenes Rakishev, a self-styled ‘international businessman, investor and entrepreneur’ with close family connections to the kleptocratic regime of his homeland’s despotic former president Nursultan Nazarbayev. Emails passed to this newspaper via anti-corruption campaigners from the Central Asian country reveal that Biden Jr held extensive meetings with Rakishev, who was looking to invest a portion of his personal fortune in New York and Washington DC. He also travelled to the Kazakh capital of Astana to hold business discussions. Hunter Biden then attempted to persuade Rakishev to buy into a Nevadan mining company, brokering a series of meetings with the firm, before convincing him to invest a cool million dollars with Alexandra Forbes Kerry, the film-maker daughter of Democrat Senator and former Presidential candidate hanoi-John Kerry. The Daily Mail also reported that Hunter Biden and Rakishev became friends, and that Hunter Biden traveled to Astana (now Nur-Sultan), the capital of Kazakhstan. The two also “dined together at luxury restaurants in New York and Washington DC,” the Daily Mail noted. Rakishev was recently named in a U.S. Senate report into Hunter Biden’s foreign business activities, which noted that the oligarch gave $142,300 to Devon Archer, Hunter Biden’s business partner, ostensibly for a car....
China Is Killing Americans with Fentanyl - Deliberately

{ gatestoneinstitute.org } ~ "I'm not alleging any kind of conspiracy, I suppose, but just the plain facts of it: fentanyl and Covid both came from China, China's our main rival, they're benefitting from the deaths of many thousands of Americans," Tucker Carlson noted on his October 16 show...China's regime has been pushing fentanyl into the United States for years. Fatal drug overdoses in the U.S. last year hit a record 70,980, according to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. Of those deaths, 36,500, were from synthetic opioids such as fentanyl. Cocaine and methamphetamine fatalities were also up, largely because these substances were mixed with fentanyl. It is, as Vanda Felbab-Brown of the Brookings Institution states in a July paper, "the deadliest drug epidemic in U.S. history." There is no doubt where this drug comes from. "Since 2013, China has been the principal source of the fentanyl flooding the U.S. illicit drug market—or of the precursor agents from which fentanyl is produced, often in Mexico," reports Felbab-Brown. A Drug Enforcement Administration Intelligence Report issued in January comes to the same conclusion as to the source of deadly fentanyl. In China, gangs work on fentanyl compounds in labs to make the drug more addictive, a former American national security official told me a few years ago. Moreover, Chinese technicians constantly change formulas to avoid detection at the American border. In short, China's regime is killing Americans with fentanyl. It is doing so deliberately. Carlson was right to suggest intentionality. Beijing, at the persistent urging of the Trump administration, announced in April 2019 a ban on the production, sale, and export of fentanyl-class substances without authorization. That ban, of course, was a step in the right direction, but analysts have pointed out that the new rules are hard to administer. "The enforcement challenge," the Brookings paper tells us, "is formidable since China's pharmaceutical and chemical industries involve tens of thousands of firms and hundreds of thousands of facilities, and China lacks adequate inspection and monitoring capacity." The implication is that criminal gangs can operate in the shadows in China. That proposition is highly debatable. BRIAN MARK WEBER When President Donald Trump nominated Amy Coney Barrett to the Supreme Court, we knew Democrats would frame the pick as an assault on everything they hold dear. But while some on the Left are worried about the fate of Roe v. Wade, the real focus during the confirmation hearings has been Barrett’s alleged threat to scumbag/liar-nObamaCare. And how we got to this point is worth noting.
As Michael Brendan Dougherty notes at National Review, Chief Justice John Roberts in 2012 “wrote the opinion that vindicated the law, one that everyone else on the Court (and many outside) seemed to disdain. He rewrote the penalty as a tax.” Dougherty adds that Roberts thus “dramatically incentivized Democrats to writhe around like an Italian soccer player when given slightest brushback and threaten the judiciary like FDR.”
Then came the Fifth Circuit Court’s ruling in 2019, which not only effectively ruled the individual mandate unconstitutional, but essentially called the law itself into question as a result. Nonetheless, scumbag/liar-nObamaCare survives even with the mandate reduced to zero.
Now, Supreme Court oral arguments in California v. Texas are set for November, just after Election Day. That makes the Barrett confirmation even more interesting. If Barrett isn’t confirmed, a 4-4 ruling would confirm the Fifth Circuit’s decision against the law.
No wonder Democrats on the Judiciary Committee are trying to make Americans think a Justice Barrett would single-handedly wipe out every progressive program since FDR. In reality, the progressive agenda is probably safe.
Barrett was critical of the individual mandate in 2012, just as any thoughtful justice would be. And that’s why Democrats keep pushing her to recuse herself from any ruling on scumbag/liar-nObamaCare.
But the case coming up this November deals with different issues than Barrett questioned back in 2012. This time around, the Court will determine whether the individual mandate with a penalty/tax of zero dollars can still fall under Congress’s power to tax, and whether the mandate can be struck down without dismantling scumbag/liar-nObamaCare altogether.
This week, Barrett didn’t commit to scrapping scumbag/liar-nObamaCare. Instead, she indicated her preference to maintain established law through the concept of severability — i.e., if a particular provision of a law is struck down, the court should make every effort to retain the rest of the law if possible. This certainly gives pause to some conservatives who’d hoped that making the tax provision of scumbag/liar-nObamaCare moot would dismantle the law completely.
Meanwhile, the Democrats’ fervent embrace of ObamaCare might make sense if the law actually worked for the American people. Nearly 10 years later, it’s plain to see it’s much worse than we feared. For one, Americans didn’t get to keep their doctors, the lie Barack scumbag/liar-nObama repeatedly promised. And a Gallup poll last year revealed that 33% of Americans say they or another member of their family had put off medical treatment due to the high costs of scumbag/liar-nObamaCare.
As Monica Showalter explains, “It’s a system whose costs never go down and instead every year go up, it’s ultimately unsustainable as millions of people have no choice but to drop out.”
And where does President Trump come down on the issue? We know that he’s been an outspoken critic of scumbag/liar-nObamaCare, but now he’s promising to retain coverage for pre-existing conditions even if his predecessor’s signature “achievement” is overturned. In a strange way, he’s given the law more credence than it deserves, and he’s at odds with Republicans who want the law repealed root and branch.
scumbag/liar-nObamaCare is hanging on by a thread, but that doesn’t mean a Justice Barrett will pull the plug on it completely. If we learned anything this week, it’s that Barrett has a mind of her own. And if Republicans actually put forth a solid alternative to scumbag/liar-nObamaCare, all this huffing and puffing would be even sillier than it is already. ~The Patriot Post
