Speaker Johnson has been a total disappointment... in fact, he is no better than McCarthy. He is incapable of holding the line on spending. He gave away the House's strongest tool for managing government programs... the power of the purse. Johnson has failed to Impeach Biden, Garland, Wray, and most of Biden's Cabinet.. and it appears he is not interested in doing so. There are plenty of examples where Biden and his cabinet have openly violated federal law and their oath of office.
One doesn't control the purse strings unless they are prepared to shut down the government ... and to secure the nation's purse from the stray fingers of the special interests and spendthrift members of Congress. America's purse is moth-eaten and full of holes... The House needs to stop the hemorrhaging and repair the holes, shutting down the government if necessary to restore fiscal responsibility.

I agree that we should shut her down unless we get want we Republicans want this time and not what the Dems want. We need to put our our campaign just like the Dems do and tell the people what is really happening. I cannot believe the things I am hearing now. Give single women $1400 a month for three years to get them back on track in Washington DC. Give money to the homeless druggies in California to help them to get off the streets. Don't they even think about where this money comes from and how it will be spent once it is handed out. We do not need a new immigration bill because the old one is not working. How would anyone know how it is working, it is never followed. The one proposed it is joke. ONLY 5000 immigrants a day. OH boy. Yes we have plenty of information to impeach Biden, his homosexual staff members, Austin, and Harris. So do it. They won't get convinced in the Senate but who cares. They will have an impeachment on their record for life. The dirty Dems started with impeachment thing, now we need to let them see how it feels. Impeachment all of them.

I agree, joe osborn. It is all political. The demonrats don't know how to run an efficient government for the benefit of we the people. Conservatives know how to govern and know that the best way to govern right now is to shut the government down for as long as possible.

If the Democrats refuse to act on the existing GOP Appropriations bills move to permanently shut down all the non-essential federal services using the FY 2025 Appropriations Bill to get rid of those services or to hand them off to the states and or provide them on a fee-for-service basis.
Services like National Parks, Monuments, game preserves, etc. should be maintained using service fees. Welfare should be eliminated at the federal level and turned over to the states. Let the states define how they care for their indigent and handicapped.
Education, environmental, and health services should be dramatically reduced at the federal level to establish national goals, with oversight management. Give the bulk of the environmental administration to the States to fund and service.
Use this fiscal crisis to slash the federal government overreach and return them to governing within their Constitutional Powers ONLY. Let the States take up any non-essential services that are not constitutional or can not be paid for with a fee or licensing for the service system. things like passports, federal highways (tolls), etc..
Turn this crisis into a benefit... the opportunity to remove all the non-essential federal government programs that are not constitutional duties or powers
