Speaker Johnson has been a total disappointment... in fact, he is no better than McCarthy.  He is incapable of holding the line on spending.  He gave away the House's strongest tool for managing government programs... the power of the purse.  Johnson has failed to Impeach Biden, Garland, Wray, and most of Biden's Cabinet.. and it appears he is not interested in doing so. There are plenty of examples where Biden and his cabinet have openly violated federal law and their oath of office.

One doesn't control the purse strings unless they are prepared to shut down the government ... and to secure the nation's purse from the stray fingers of the special interests and spendthrift members of Congress.  America's purse is moth-eaten and full of holes... The House needs to stop the hemorrhaging and repair the holes, shutting down the government if necessary to restore fiscal responsibility.

MR. SPEAKER SHUT DOWN THE GOVERNMENT... OR RESIGN.

    • And when Satan said, "Surely God has not said, " he left out. "Surely, the 'LORD' God......

"LORD"  denote God's system of Seed, Plant, Harvest--- so what Satan actually did was hide from Adam and Eve, the repercussions from violating Gods system. And we know the rest.

      The better question is:

When was the last time the GOP/RNC made a 'full and ligitimate' effort to use the powers of our Constitution, and their majority, to restrain government... its spending, and programs?

Pres. Trump and the GOP/RNC were the majority party... for the first 2 years of Trump's Presidency.  They controlled both Houses of Congress, and held the Executive Branch... but made little permanent progress in reforming government. Most of the GOP progress was the result of transient Executive Orders... not the permanent acts of Congress.

It was embarrassing listening to Sen. McConnel and Speaker Ryan offer their febbel excuses for failing to balance the budget or to cut the size of the government. The GOP/RNC leadership appeared to favor big government and a new world order.

The GOP has frequently sat on both hands... silently working in the smoke-filled back rooms of Congress to thwart common-sense reform. Reforms, that could have avoided the fiscal and cultural problems that brought us to where we are today... at the precipice of dissolution.

    • Colonel, I believe there is a major flaw in what you perceive as a majority in congress. The total number of GOP members may indeed appear to be a majority; but the count is always skewed by the presence of several RINOs.

These turncoat RINO’s primary purpose is to switch sides whenever their vote is needed to either advance the democrat’s agenda or to obstruct any Republican legislation. That is the reason the GOP never accomplishes anything. Their majority is just an illusion.

The failure of good people to recognize the pure evil in the Democratic Party is the reason America is on life support.

    • The RNC/GOP caucus and its members' conduct is subject (first) to their party and oaths of office... keeping the PLANKS of the Party is a duty, not an option...

When a member of the GOP fails in their duty... it is IMPORTANT that the leadership discipline that individual ... or REMOVE, the dissident from the Party.  It does no service to the general membership to keep rouge and independent members in the party.

This lack of discipline is the failure of Party leadership ... NOT the party's failure to mass a majority in Congress.  I would note the rules of Congress are subject to the power brokers in the party caucuses.

When a legislative issue becomes the captive of a minority due to parliamentary rules it is time to change the rules... bulldozing a way forward is necessary... something the GOP fails to understand... or not?  The bulldozing becomes essential to the process, when the collapse of our government may result from the arbitrary administration of a few rouge members....

The party is playing us all for fools... they keep a few members around who can become the focus for their failure to keep the core principles and values of our party (The Party Planks).

When a manufacturer has an employee who continually fails... to meet his responsibility for production... they don't reward that employee with promotions, pay raises, and additional auhtority... They DISCHARGE THEM.... and it usually is done on the second or third breach in policy... not after decades of bad conduct.

Tom... the current leadership in GOP/RNC is at the center of our party's problems... they are not stupid and the party's failure to discipline its rouge members is not accidental nor the fruit of misplaced tolerance... it is habitual and purposeful... serving the underlying goals of leadership... While misdirecting the responsibility for the failure to scapegoats... Sadly, such failures are often the fruit of planned outcomes.

We need to REMOVE THE BAD LEADERSHIP and begin again...

  • The White House welcome mat !  "WELCOME TO THE USSA"!

  • Time for Johnson to GO... he is not a conservative. He is worse than McCarthy.  He gave away the farm for a handful of magic beans...

Maybe Johnson can climb Jack's bean stock and find the Goose that lays golden eggs... He certainly isn't going to balance our budget doing the same thing over and over.

Do the honorable thing and RESIGN... for Johnson's edification:

  • How much more affective will be the next guy, how much more will he be able to accomplish according to what the people want.....and who in thei4 right mind will take the job he can lose by making one decision ONE someone doesn't like?

    • What has Johnson brought to the chair besides BETRAYAL... and what is shaping up to be more of the same?   No Speaker is better than a 'fickle and lying' Speaker.

America doesn't need more betrayal... fickled politicians.

    • He can leverage his power to assign committees and chairmanships.   He can crack the whip to leverage his powers to get the GOP Caucus to vote as a block or kick the offenders off all committees, censure them, and dock their budget... travel, and expenses...He also can get the RNC to stop funding the rebels... he needs to play hardball... if he wants to be effective.  His excuses are BS... ask Nancy or Schumer how they did and do it?

He can keep any bill from reaching the floor... simply by failing to assign it to a committee or sending it to a committee he controls and can keep the bill pigeonholed... effectively stopping legislative action... or holding it from a vote... He can SHUT DOWN the government by stopping any CR or Appropriations bill from being acted upon.

SHUT DOWN THE GOVERNMENT MR SPEAKER OR RESIGN... you have the power to keep any bill from seeing a vote on the floor... a DISCHARGE PETITION would be required and that takes time and support just to get it approved... there are several parliamentary measures to keep a Discharge motion from EVER SEEING DAYLIGHT.

Don't fall for the CRAP Johnson puts out about he CAN"T hold up the CR... he is lying... and for that reason alone needs to be removed.
