The question is not whether there should be payback. There MUST be payback. The judge and the district attorney should be prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law. The House must immediately defund the Justice Department. Justice must be served.

Justice's very nature and quality depend upon the fair administration of law, and order... Justice REQUIRES the law to be both fairly and equally applied to all those subject to its jurisdiction. Justice must not become the arbitrary and pernicious tool of tyranny.
We hang the petty thieves and appoint the great ones to public office.... this must stop.
The darkest places in hell are reserved for those who maintain their neutrality in times of moral crisis. There is no neutral ground where the basics of liberty and justice are in the hands of tyrants...
Those withholding their support for justice infect the body politic with their demurred silence. Their silence speaks loudly to their true self, with it they display their weakness and a hidden agenda that would barter away liberty for security... They shall have neither
It shouldn't be referred to as "payback". That sounds vindictive and petty. It is JUSTICE, pure and simple. These people have abused their power and engaged in election interference, among other things. This sort of behavior, the weaponizing of the legal system, cannot continue and those who've been involved must be held to account. If they are not, it will continue, and our entire justice system will become a sham, a corrupt MESS. That's why justice must be sought against these people. Not "payback".
You are correct! Those who abuse the constitutional system must be removed from power and punished severely! Without constitutional correctness we fall as a nation, we crumble!
My thoughts, exactly... Justice is not vindictive it is the fruit of the righteous man, the anchor that secures Justice... to the law.
You are right, Elise. A former president and/or a candidate for the presidency should never be taken to court because it is always election interference. You correctly say in other words that they are above the law but I would caution that this applies only while they are running for office.
Sham trial - - corrupt DA and prosecutor, prejudiced, bigoted judge and a biased jury - - what could possibly go wrong??
Payback must be fixing the system, restoring our constitution.
This judge was promised the Supreme Court!
Absolutely Mr. Starves, there must be consequences to bad behavior. That is a lot of the problem with D.C. and our politicians No consequences for bad behavior. Joe Biden is my prime example.
Agreed
