These ideas usually start with the bored, lazy elite, the wealthy, the intellectuals, who are living on allowances as adults looking for a cause that doesn't require labor, getting their hands dirty. Tthey focus on the poor who don't have time to dream because they are too busy working from dawn to dusk to feed their families. They don't keep up with the news, don't understand politics, they know they are struggling while the guy they work for is living high. We came full circle, nowadays in America many don't know how to read, easy to influence, to get excited at the idea of someone taking care of them, giving them comfort and security. The politicians picked up on this, and constantly point out how they are all victims for one reason or another, and the government is responsible for fixing it.
