Any and all House Rules can be easily Amended to allow Pres. Trump to become Speaker... temp or otherwise. A simple majority is all that is required to amend any rule currently barring him from holding the Office of Speaker. If he has the vote in the House to become Speaker, he has the vote to Amend any rule of the House barring him.
I would note that as Speaker Trump COULD move the House to SUSPEND OR REMOVE LOCA RULE OF THE DISTRICT... return the full jurisdiction over the District to the Speaker and the Hosue... We must work smarter, within the law to clean up the garbage in DC. This is one way of doing it.
If Trump becomes Speaker... he could appoint new prosecutors, police supervisors, and judges who would go after the corruption in the District. Since most of the Federal Government operates under the jurisdiction of DC authority, Trump could use such jurisdictional authority to CLEAN OUT DC... Draining the swamp and all of its criminal elements... Something other Speakers would not do as it would end their power and the spoils system of government.
We need Trump as Speaker.... let him go after DC's corrupt political machine... The Deep State and Swamp... with the arm of justice properly administered by a new Speaker of the House.

Well said! Donald Trump is a force. He did well for the U.S. as President and world leaders respected him. It would be interesting to see what he could accomplish as Speaker.

Better...Imagine all the crooks in DC's cabal of political cronies operating under a new Sheriff... suspend or eliminate local rule... return DC to direct rule by the House. Let the Speaker appoint new senior leadership as Mayor, District Counsel, Prosecutor(s), Senior Officers of the DC Police, judges and standing Grand Jury(s), and any other agents he deems necessary to round up, indict, and convict the corrupt political leadership in the Deep State and Swamp.
Get ready for a host of legal counsel to claim the above can not be done... never mind what the US Constitution directs concerning the governance of the District by Congress... or the powers granted to the Speaker by Congress to administer the DIstrict whenever local rule is suspended or revoked.
Be bold and proceed as necessary to drain the swamp using the Speaker's office to manage the District.
