One thought from another site, that Vance was selected in part because he is Catholic. Trump received lots of flack for the evangelic team that laid hands on him in the W.H. and prayed for him multiple times in the White House. Not sure. Choosing which Christian side to side with? There are differences between these two groups. Hierarchy with one that is not in the other. But, that doesn't even make sense for the abortion issue. Just putting it out there.
That is silly! He felt about Trump much like we all did at first, didn't trust if he will stick with it or all is just a show. Then, as we heard hím and saw hím more, he began to sound real. We learned to like and trust him. Vance went through the same process, it took him longer, he didn't trust him, but once in office he realized how valuable Trump was for the country. I fear people who jump and support people they don't know anything about.....but what they hear sounds good. That's what got us the POS Obama! Vance didn't trust until Trump proved himself.....I certainly agree with that.
A one time Never Trumper... Is Trump on the road to more bad personnel selections Wasn't one term with bad personnel judgment enough? Loyalty is a very important character factor when selecting personnel for political office. VP Pence put us where we are today... will JD Vance suddenly revert to his never-TRUMP loyalties once in office?
Vance will be good. He is super bright, discerning, a ground up conservative. (I hope Trump also makes a position for Vivek.)
However, both Trump and Vance support the mail order abortifascient drug being available—as does the court. Vance previously was against abortion in rape or Mother's life at risk, saying, "two wrongs don't make a right, concerning whether a child should be allowed to live even through the circumstances of that child's birth are somehow inconvenient or a problem to society." He now supports the court's decision that mail-order abortion should be available by state. So does Rubio.
So, the courts again—have decided the moral issues without the moral issue even being brought up. Borders first, last and always.
Only state's rights. State's rights should be political decisions, not moral equivalence.
In addition, the Republican party platform was weakened concerning the 2nd A as well as life, thus diminishing fundamental differences between the two parties.
We can agree to disagree, but again, the courts led this moral disaster by still not dealing with the issue of Life. The reason is that the issue of Life leads to the issue of Creation. And that issue sweeps morality into the equation and into the identity of this nation, of who we are. We are not who we used to be. Political expedience should never trump morality on a consistent and foundational level like this.
WE NEED issues of MORALITY to beverbal, visible, and votable. THAT is how moral issues become TEACHABLE and FOUNDATIONAL. That is the way back. Like the New England Primer taught about Jesus from day one. 'The Sermon on the Mount' was taught in 4th Grade Primer.
That gave rise to all of our first colleges being Bible Colleges. It made us. It became the FRUIT from what was sown in this early America. We have reaped the fruit of our founders seeking wisdom and the right ways to go. Now, we have lost our roots, our righteousness, and some have just plain lost their minds—through political expedience—It is a very low standard. If the courts won't do it, we must do it via the platform. They did just the opposite.
And if not from the top, —then from the bottom—from WE the People. LIke 0's marxist czar, Van Jones said, "Top down, Bottom up, Inside out."Three choices only. He was right.
If we want God's blessings AGAIN upon this country, shouldn't WE bless GOD first, last and always? 2 Chron.7:14. If My people, who are called by My name, humble themselves, pray, seek My face, and turn from their wicked ways,....then.....I will hear their cry and heal their land." That is HIs Promise. The FEAR of God is the beginning of wisdom.
Instead, we have a R party that echoes satan in the garden, "Surely, God has NOT said..."
Vance was a never-trumper... I don't trust individuals who can go from one extreme to another... we don't need this... there are others with a better history of loyalty that could have been selected... what's next ... the reappointment of Bob Barr as Attorney General or maybe Lyndsy Graham...or Speaker Johnson? This is not the way to start. personnel selections.

Ohio has lost a great Senator but I'm happy for Trump

Roman Catholocism is not Christianity, it is the Babylonia Worship system reincarnated.
I didn't want to say it. Mary ain't it. Thanks. And the Vatican is not our friend in any way, shape or form. That serpent theatre says volumes.
I distrust this man Vance, once a Never Trumper is enough for me to distrust him.

"Vance also went from being one of Trump's fiercest critics to becoming one of his most ardent supporters, making him an unusual addition to Trump's inner circle." See: Who is JD Vance? The 'never Trumper' who is now Republican vice-pre...
Surely, there were others better qualified and without loyalty issues... America can not take more betrayal.

It is a mistake to separate seed from its fruit. It is delusional.
