EXCLUSIVE: I obtained leaked emails revealing that Colony Ridge’s defense lawyer and a lobbying group are teaming up to pass a law enabling more illegal alien settlements.
The bill is being pushed by lawmakers who’ve taken money from developers who stand to gain.🧵

The bill is the product of a partnership between Colony Ridge defense lawyer Jason Ray and the Texas Land Developers’ Association — the group whose president infamously admitted that their developments sell out American land to illegal aliens.
Leaked emails viewed by @realDailyWire reveal that TLDA President Kevin Campbell referred to Colony Ridge lawyer Jason Ray as the “the attorney that prepared the bill language.”

The house bill was introduced by former Democrat Ryan Guillen.
Guillen took $14k from TLDA’s PAC, $5k from the former TLDA president who made the stunning admission, and $1k from the CEO of Cayetano, a development that courts foreign buyers on the southern border.

The companion bill is being carried in the Senate by Adam Hinojosa. He took $11,500 from that same former TLDA president who admitted that their developments would go under if they could only sell to buyers with social security numbers.

The bill already passed through the House committee and is under consideration in the Senate Business and Commerce Committee.
The committee includes Sen. Creighton, whose company began building homes in Colony Ridge after it became an opportunity zone.

If passed, the bill would limit oversight of seller-finance developments like Colony Ridge and Cayetano.
Rep. @JanisHolt59 is opposing the bill, warning that it could lead to other illegal alien enclaves spreading throughout the state.
