The one I in 8 childeren hungry in the USA is the parent's fault! There's absolutely no reason for children to be hungry on American soil other than the parents neglec hem!
Ilona- in so many instances, parents are unable to properly maintain/sustain the household and even go to bed hungry themselves. I can't write a long dissertation about it, but wages/jobs are not what they could be and food pantries are not always available everywhere.
PS - but you're right, in some instances, it IS the parents fault.
