Dwyane Robinson was born in Jamaica, enlisted in the U.S. military, and naturalized in 2011 by virtue of his active-duty service.
In 2013, he was arrested for kidnapping and attempted murder. According to the warrant, the shooting was premeditated and he laid in wait at the victim’s home. While in jail awaiting trial Robinson received an other than honorable discharge.
In 2015 he was convicted of attempted first-degree murder and assault with a deadly weapon with intent to kill.
The DOJ initiated denaturalization proceedings in the Eastern District of North Carolina July 21.The case was initiated after an ICE Operation False Haven investigation revealed Robinson was ineligible to retain citizenship because failed to meet the five-year honorable service requirement for military naturalizations.
