  • Next the left will want to take down the veteran's memorials.......

  • Agreed 100%

  • The Veterans Health Administration (VHA) is the largest integrated health care system in the United States, providing care at 1,298 health care facilities, including 171 VA Medical Centers and 1,113 outpatient sites of care of varying complexity (VHA outpatient clinics) to over 9 million Veterans. Needless to say such a large system of health care has a full range of care... going form excellent to unacceptable and dangerous.

The system needs a complete makeover in its upper and middle management... with an emphasis on quality care thru properly managed patient services.  Bureaucrats must be held accountable for their incompetence and or lack of professional services.. Private audits by retired military boards located at every VA Hospital and major clinic with the power to fire... without notice, any sub-performing employee in the VA System... would go a long way to improving the care and outcome for VA Patients.

Put the VA health care under the direct control of retired military boards... let them oversee the quality of care and the management of the professional practitioners/staff, senior, and middle managers ...  Let them hire, fire, and or promote these individuals. Break up the bureaucratic cabals often found in these institutions... as they protect one another from oversight and disciplinary actions.

  • The VA does some things really well for our war wounded vets but all regular health care and maintenance should be done in the private sector and the VA paying the bills.

    • Agreed 100%
