DEMAND AN INVESTIGATION!
Texas Coach Shot Mid-Prayer — RAIR Uncovered the Lebanese Migrant Suspect’s Link to Taxpayer-Funded MAS Katy, a Muslim Brotherhood Hub Preaching Anti-Christian Hate
A youth baseball game in Katy, TX, exploded into chaos when a Christian coach was shot while leading a pregame prayer with children.
Officials first tried to dismiss it as a “hunting accident.”
Our investigation proves troubling ties...
🔺 Suspects Charged:
Three men were arrested and charged with Deadly Conduct – Discharge of a Firearm:
Ahmad Mawed (21) — Lebanese migrant, granted permanent residency under the Biden administration.
Mahmood Abdelsalam Rababah (23).
Mustafa Mohammad Matalgah (27) — naturalized as a U.S. citizen in 2023 under Biden, despite prior drug arrests.
🔺 Exclusive Mosque Link:
RAIR obtained exclusive images placing Ahmad Mawed at MAS Katy (Masjid Ar-Rahman) during what appears to be the mosque’s Eid al-Fitr celebration in 2025, and confirmed he actively follows the mosque online.
MAS Katy is not just any mosque - it is an official branch of the Muslim American Society (MAS), described by federal prosecutors as the “overt arm of the Muslim Brotherhood in the U.S.”
🔺 Taxpayer Money Funnelled to MAS Katy:
Records show roughly $91,862 in Texas state funds were approved under Governor Abbott’s office for MAS Katy.
Why are taxpayer dollars underwriting a mosque tied to the Muslim Brotherhood and known for anti-Christian and anti-Jewish messaging?
🔺 Brotherhood Network:
MAS Katy is a branch of the Muslim American Society (MAS) — which federal prosecutors identified during the Holy Land Foundation case as the “overt arm” of the Muslim Brotherhood in the United States.
In 2014, the UAE designated MAS a terrorist organization alongside al-Qaeda and ISIS.🔺 Sectarian Rhetoric:
Sermons and recitations promoted by MAS Katy leadership have included verses branding Christians and Jews as “disbelievers,” warning their children are “fuel for the Fire,” threatening “humiliating punishment,” and cursing them to “Hell forever” alongside Pharaoh — the archetype of tyranny.
🔺 Law-Enforcement Optics:
Even as MAS Katy pushed this sectarian content, local sheriff’s leadership posed for photo-ops with mosque officials, granting the Brotherhood’s Texas hub a veneer of legitimacy and credibility.
🔺 Radical Pipeline Across Texas:
MAS Katy is deeply embedded in a statewide Brotherhood-aligned network — spanning ISNA, CAIR, Yaqeen, and AMJA.
The mosque even platformed Salah al-Sawy — America’s most prominent Sharia judge and Secretary-General of AMJA — whose published fatwas include declaring U.S. law illegitimate when it conflicts with Sharia and endorsing execution for apostates.
From Dallas to Plano, Houston to Katy, this is not “outreach.” It is a conveyor belt of militant indoctrination.
🔺 Federal Failure:
Adding to the scandal, DHS Assistant Secretary Tricia McLaughlin called the shooting “pure evil” and admitted:
“These individuals from high-threat countries were let in by the Biden Administration. They clearly were not vetting the aliens they legalized.”
🔺 Systemic Cover-Up:
Police records officially classified Ahmad Mawed as “white” — yet another example of how Middle Eastern crime is routinely buried by America’s flawed classification system, as RAIR previously exposed in Whitewashed: How the FBI Misclassifies Middle Eastern Crime.
🔺 Not an Isolated Case:
This revelation comes just two days after RAIR exposed MAS Dallas leader Marwan Marouf, tied by marriage to the Hamas-financing Elashi family at the center of the Holy Land Foundation terror trial.
From Dallas to Katy, the pattern is undeniable: MAS is a Brotherhood pipeline running across Texas — and taxpayers are footing the bill.
🔺 Why It Matters
A Christian prayer was interrupted by gunfire. One suspect is tied to a publicly funded, Brotherhood-linked mosque that platforms anti-Christian and hate of disbelievers.
Texas families deserve answers —Texans deserve to know:
Why did state funds flow to MAS Katy? Who approved the $91,862? What vetting was done?
Are agencies probing ideological radicalization —or burying it under “hunting accident”?
Will law enforcement re-examine its partnerships with a Brotherhood-linked institution spreading sectarian hate?
