I believe that the Pope is passed liberal. He believes in communish. He never met when he visited Cuba with the decidents. He whole visit was to fraternized with his fellow dictator and all the communist in Cuba. He is not against abortion as the catholic church has vow. He control the money in the Vatican, and he expect all the good catholic to donate to his coffer. Furthermore, he stood on the side of Mexico and told the people to knock the wall down and open the borders to USA. Well, Biden did that and look at mess he got us all from the Pope message. However, all Popes are mortal, and he eventually will meet his maker and he will have to respond what he has done. Eventually, the church would find a different Pope that would incure in this Pope's sins.
Since this is Christmas Eve, please, allow me to digress from the direct topic (in a sense). To all of my fellow members, posting here - -may your Christmas be blessed, beautiful and peaceful. Some celebrate Christmas as a "holiday", others celebrate it as a Holy Day. However you observe it, remember the "Reason for the Season".
"Glory to God in the highest and on earth, peace to those on whom His favor rests." Luke 2:14
May you and your families have a blessed Christmas together and in the midst of all the chaos and turmoil, may you find time to reflect on the reason we celebrate. Peace and Blessings from my family to yours.
The Catholic Church doesn't preach the word of Jesus Christ today they preach the law of the government I know because I have been in one of their services but to me the laws of my Lord is what I believe because men laws don't stay forever
So, you went to one Mass (which you mistakenly call a “Service”) and now you think you can tell us all what the Catholic Church teaches?!! All you can truthfully talk about is what one priest said from the pulpit, which regrettably today, may or may not be in line with the teaching of the Catholic Church. There are many infiltrators and renegades in the Catholic Church (and other “Christian” churches) today, put there solely to discredit and destroy the Church and mislead the Catholic people. The Catholic Church is their biggest target because, through the centuries, the Church’s teachings have been constant on morality in issues of divorce, sex outside of marriage, contraception, abortion, gay marriage and gay clergy, etc. Other Christian churches have given in to popular culture moral shifts on all those issues and changed what they teach is moral. Your type of uninformed and mindless comments simply aid Satan in his campaign to destroy his greatest earthly enemy, the Catholic Church, the Church that Christ Himself established.
I agree with you. I attend mass every Sunday, I may not agree with the priest and what he had to say at the Homely . After all, he is just a man like everyone else. I do not agree with Pope's teachings, but Popes come and go. There will be another that would restore the way Catholicism it is meant to be. Merry Christmas to you.

You generalize as well, not ALL Christian churches gave/give into modern demands, many outside of the Catholic church preach the truth, you just have to find them......because not all priests and pastors are created equal. It is very much okay to call a Mass a service ( you knew what he was referring to and decided to split hairs) many Christian's do call it a service, and it is forgivable for Christian's not to follow the Catholic dictionary.
Christ did not established the Catholic Church, that happened long after his crucifiction, that is history LAS, Christ didn't go to the cross as a Catholic, he went as a Jew. The cross at that time was nothing but a tool of execution not a religious symbol, the cross was adopted as a symbol of the Christian church because Christ was crucified.
It's almost Christmas, try to find some kindness in your heart and teach rather than harshly criticize someone of a different branch of Christianity, accusing them of aiding Satan is a bit harsh. Remember not all Catholics go to heaven, and not all other Christian's go to hell!
have a Merry Christmas and a prosperous, healthy, happy new year!
Dee, In answer to your question, "What has happened to the Catholic Church?" The Vatican was invaded by communism in the early 1950s and with the death of Pope Pius XII, in 1958, the commies saw their chance. The very first Pope elected, after the death of Pius, was forced to resign immediately, upon threats of death to himself and his family. I cannot remember the names and sequence, because I didn't print it off and file it - -my bad, but a little research will give anyone who cares, the names and information I am lacking. As far as I am concerned, we have had only TWO legitimate Popes, since the death of Pius; they were St. John Paul II and Benedict XVI. When Pope Benedict resigned, he claimed it was for health reasons; in a sense it was - -the same threats against him AND his family. Many claim Francis is a "socialist" - -so be it; there is absolutely NO difference between a socialist and a communist. I don't know if beijingjoe, or commie pelosi had any influence in Francis' decision to de-frock Father Pavone. Francis does not and did not need any urging to try to drive the Church into a rabbit-hole (or a hell hole); I am convinced he has been attempting to drive the Church in the wrong direction from the very moment he appeared on the scene. I am a Catholic, I do not like, nor trust Francis and the majority who are brave enough to discuss it, do not like, nor trust him either. If I were really a "good Catholic", I would force myself to pray for him; I won't, he is NOT legitimate and should step down.
Good for you June! Part of being a "good"anything....patriot, or a good Catholic means to see, acknowledge, and try to fix problems in the institutions we love. The leadership of the Catholic Church ( all churches really) have failed doing the job original intended, the same with our government, we need a serious housecleaning in both church and government for either to thrive. Evil people have infiltrated them all, they are wicked, the are in it for the riches and the power and will do ANYTHING to remain there. Until we begin to punish, and I mean execute these people, nothing will change, evil cannot be rehabilitated, it must be wiped out!

The pope is far left liberal! That has nothing to do with the Catholic people OR their faith!
