We need a Law and Consensus

We need law. Banning Islam. Or an EO. 1.  Banning Islam. 2.  Banning foreign World Views—from Congress, from Judicial seats. 3.  From party platforms, both sides.

It is time to compare and contrast where we are with where we must go in the future. We have lost our bearings. We all see this.

Consider the world views of our Founders and contrast with what we have now. It is desperate. Language matters. Literacy matters. World Views build or destroy. We know this.

Founders

"Of all the dispositions and habits which lead to political prosperity, religion and morality are indispensable supports. In vain would that man claim the tribute of patriotism, who should labor to subvert these great pillars of human happiness, these firmest props of the duties of men and citizens. Geo. Washington's Farewell Address. 1796.

"True religion derives its strenth from internal conviction, however, it is he who wrote the Declaration of Independence, with it's firm reliance upon "Creation" and "Unalienable Rights."

"Nothing but His Blood will wash away my sins." Benjamin Rush.

"We recognize no sovereign God, and no King but Jesus." Benjamin Rush.

"The general principles upon which the Fathers achieved independence were the general principles of Christianity....I will avow that I believed and now believe that those general principles of Christianity are as eternal and immutable as the existance and attributes of God. John Adams.

"He who made all men hath made the truths necessary to human happiness obvious to all...Our forefathers opened the Bible to all. Samuel Adams.

The Declaration of Independence identified the source of all authority and rights as "Their Creator," and then accentuated that individual human rights are God-given, not man-made.
This is the missing link, the Declaration must partner with the Constitution as the Moral Christian foundation for law, courts, and justice. "What can the righteous do when the foundation be destroyed?"

93 members of the first Fathers were members of the Christian faith and all were deeply in fluenced by a biblical worldview of mankind and of government.

"It cannot be emphasized too clearly and too often that this nation was founded, not by religionists, but by Christians, not on religion, but on the gospel of Jesus Christ." Patrick Henry.

"Principally and first of all, I give and recommend my soul into the hands of God that gave it: and my body I commend to the earth, ...nothing doubting but at the general resurrection I shall receive the same again by the mercy and power of God." John Hancock.

"Providence has given to our people the choice of our rulers, and it is the duty, as well as the privilege and interest of our Christian nation, to select and prefer Christians for their rulers." John, Jay. First Chief Justice of the Supreme Court.

"To the supreme Head of the universe—to that great and tremendous Jehovah—Who created the universal frame of nature, worlds, and systems in number infinite...to this awfully subline Being, do I resign my spirit with unlimited confidence of His mercy and protection." Henry Knos, Revolutionary War General.

"Without morals a republic cannot subsist any length of time; they therefore who are decrying the Christian religion, whose morality is so sublime and pure...are underming the solid foundation of morals, the best security for the duration of free governments." Charles Carroll, Signer of the Declaration of Independence.

And

Thomas Paine sharply criticized organized national churches as mechanisms for power and control.

Noah Webster and Benjamin Rush credited "Christianity with fostering Civil Liberty and serving as a true moral framework."

George Washington wrote of the Necessity of Two Things.

1. The Necessity of an American National Character was necessary to preserve Self-Government.
2. State Militias are necessary to preserve the Union.

He concluded this:  "Our Destiny via the Union of States holds the responsibility to uphold Self-Governments, and thus, according to posterity—affect the destiny of unborn millions."
He was saying, that We are to be the Example to the World.——This is Washington's Covenant to God.

Samuel Adams
Father of the American Revolution, Signer of the Declaration of Independence

I . . . recommend my Soul to that Almighty Being who gave it, and my body I commit to the dust, relying upon the merits of Jesus Christ for a pardon of all my sins.

  • And btw, there is a living tree called the George Washington Witness Tree, that still stands in Stanton, DE, that saw both the Revolutionary War and the Civil War. Yes, 250 years old. Heavily managed and is declining.

Under her branches Washington held a Council of War on Sept.6, 1777, just prior to the Battle of Brandywine, and just 3 days after the Battle of Cooches Bridge.

Washington, the Man—wrote this: 2nd paragraph of his prayer for America.

..."to do Justice, love Mercy, and to demean ourselves with that Charity, humility and pacific temper of mind, which were the characteristics of the Devine Author of our blessed religion, and without an humble imitation of whose example in these things, we can never hope to be a happy nation." ——Amen. Witness.
