The White House budget office has told federal agencies to redirect World Health Organization funds to groups that do similar work, indicating a 60-day suspension of WHO funding ordered by President Trump will be permanent.
The funds will flow instead to outfits such as the Red Cross and Samaritan’s Purse after Trump said Tuesday the WHO needed reform after failing to vet coronavirus data from China, contributing to a pandemic that infected more than 650,000 US residents.
The US provided roughly 10 percent of the WHO’s $4.8 billion annual budget. Most US contributions were “voluntary.” Annual US dues were just $58 million, with the next installment not expected until September.
Trump administration officials have ceased “voluntary” contributions from agencies including USAID, the Environmental Protection Agency and the Department of Health and Human Services — totaling about $300 million-$400 million a year.
An administration official told The Post that efforts were underway to redirect “every single pot of money” from the WHO to other organizations. Large international relief organizations already are in many cases doing similar work, they said.
The administration official said that the White House Office of Management and Budget would send any necessary notifications to Congress when there are decisions to redirect funds, though in some cases that may be unnecessary.

Many of us were here during the "Asian Flu Pandemic" of 1 957-1958. America had 90,000-110,000 people die. Two to four million died Worldwide. That was the first H2N2 Strain of Flu, most probably from geese.
We went to School. Adults went to work. Everything stayed open. This was before "Flu Vaccines!" If you got sick you went to bed and sweat it out! Not Toddies and Not Buttered Rums. Vicks! Chicks Soul and lots of Fluids.
The Stock Market took a hit, but no Recession. Playgrounds stayed open and Professional Sports were played. Movie Theaters and Restaurants were busy. We hunted, fished, canned vegetables, and fruits.
Men were men, Women were Female, kids were respectful, and most likely were were all better and prouder Americans back then in 1957-1958.

Hurray for Trump! I'm sick and tired of people taking advantage of this country. People wonder what changes a person from being compassionate and giving to a hardened suspicious one. This is just one reason why. When you're shit on enough times it makes you wary of everything and everybody. Who can you trust anymore? They take advantage of the good nature of the US and its people. I'm just tired of fat cats getting rich off our money and not being honest enough to do the job we pay them to do. Nobody has any integrity anymore.
I will go further than what you said Jane if we let more people in that's mean your taxes will go high and everything else and plus we have have family that will have children therefore if we don't let the illegals come in that's me more money in our pocket because it take money to just that.

That automatically made them citizens and their parents got to stay too. The taxpayers paid for those births and of course they paid for their welfare. It's not just Chinese either but others as well. I just quoted an example of a large accounting from one place. We are being taken advantage of all the time and that's why some of us are struggling to take care of our own families. I'm tired of us supporting everyone. These people are taking advantage of our Constitution because the dumb politicians misconstrue the purpose of that part of the Constitution where it reads about automatic citizenry. It was set up for the black people after the Civil War that declared that they and their families and their future families were from that time on considered citizens. It was never meant to be for people who migrate here from other countries illegally. I think when this business with the virus is over with and not so prioritized We The People should push for this problem to be taken care of. Our immigration policy needs an overhaul. And I think Communist countries need to stew in their own juices and not get help from us. We fought a war against Communism and here we are dealing with them. They wouldn't be anything but a spot on the planet if we hadn't helped them build up their economy, and then they still hate us.

Oddly the WHO accused the President for politicizing this issue when in fact the WHO has already done so themselves by pandering to China's Communist Party.
