Well, I know blacks who are very smart and DO well. This is an individual problem caused mainly by failed parenting. While there are some with mental disabilities that handicap them it isn't all. When I was in school I witnessed many of color who were carrying books home to study and get homework done while on the other hand I saw amny who never opened a book, never carried them home but instead were found out on the basketball courts bouncing a ball. Had I been one of those I'd have had my head handed to me.

The way to stay in power over dumb and stupid is to keep them dumb and stupid. Who ever came up with this plan should be fired from the education system for life.
When IQ testing was the standard across the nation, to check student's scholastic achievement, blacks repeatedly scored lower than all other races tested. This was so obovious and well known that the NAACP balked and called the tests racially biased. But how could that be, if all American children were being taught the same material with the same curriculum?
Larry P. vs Riles brought IQ testing before Judge Peckham in San Francisco, CA (of course) where he declared testing of black American students (only) permanently prohibited. But Whites, Asians, Latinos, etc. can all still be IQ tested. So, in other words, if you ignore the problem, it no longer exists.
Low IQ coupled with a lack of impulse control is the perfect blueprint for your BLM rioters, smashers, looters and arsonists.... just look at shop-lifting ravaged San Francisco (again).
It would be interesting to know how much average IQ has dropped since the schools quit actually teaching. And for each race.

Likely, it is due a lot because of Ebonics—and Blacks mistakenly thinking this travesty of the English language is some kind of identity for them to nurture. It is infantile. When I taught college students, I talked to them about standing up straight, looking people in the eye, using correct grammar, saying the person's name, asking about them, etc. You wouldn't think college age kids needed to be TOLD these things, but it seemed that they DO. They had to be TOLD to express interest in other people.
Language matters. It is imperative that people learn and use English correctly in order to live in this country and succeed and prosper—and to keep mental / cultural malware from infiltrating their belief systems. Whites are not where they used to be either, linguistically. We, as in the US, have dropped from 1st in World Literacy, to 38th in Math and 24th in Science. By 4th grade, depending on the source, we are. in the middle. Law schools now offer remedial writing classes in the first year. We have sunk and are sinking.
So the question is, can Blacks learn better with "their own" or are we assuming they need Whites to compete against or some version of that? Why and How did the average Black IQ get, become or stay 25 points lower than Whites? Whites overall score lower than Asians. Why? My former renter, a Japanese student, told me from the minute they enter school, they study Japanese, English and Chinese, until they graduate. He mastered 3 languages by the time he graduated. He had also memorized the Periodic Table of Elements. Who does that in this country?
In Japan, Mothers do the mentoring and encouraging. Fathers do the demanding. Kind of like we used to be. Just sayin'.
I agree with you, But I think the root cause, especialy in the black community is the almost total distruction of the family unit ! Lack of perental guidence. No father in the house.
