Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky once again reiterated his war-torn country’s dire need for additional arms and closed skies as Russian forces, while stalled, continue to raze Ukrainian cities and kill thousands of civilians 45 days into the war.
Speaking from his dimly lit, fortified compound flooded with soldiers somewhere in the capital city of Kyiv, Zelensky defended his blunt, pointed diplomatic style when requesting assistance from world leaders as his people suffer.
“When you are [working] at diplomacy, there are no results,” he told 60 Minutes’ Scott Pelley in an interview that aired on Sunday night.
“All of this is very bureaucratic. That’s why the way I’m talking to them is absolutely justifiable. I don’t have any more lives [to give] I don’t have any more emotions. I’m no longer interested in their diplomacy that leads to the destruction of my country.
“A lot of countries have changed their mind about Ukraine and about our people. But I think we’ve paid too a high price for that.”

Right on target Dee,.. the entire Ukrainian invasion is making Russia and the oil moguls rich... the price of oil is nearly doubled and continues to go up Russia's largest source of revenue comes from Oil and Natural Gas Sales. Russia is making a killing on the world energy market, along with all the big energy companies. This has to be a welcome relief to big energy, as the pandemic cut their retail revenues nearly in half over the last 2yrs... Don't think for one moment that the embargo is keeping Russia from selling oil and natural gas to CHINA, N. Korea, Cuba, and half a dozen other sources... they have no problem selling all the oil they can pump... anyone suggesting otherwise is simply self-deluded or ignorant regarding world trade and how oil pools/consortiums are managed.
Follow the money... and you will find out what is really behind the Ukrainian conflict... if there is a serious level of conventional conflict at all Could the 'Tail be wagging the Dog'? There certainly are signs of it. Since when has Russia avoided razing major cities when they invade? The latest pictures of Kieve's skyline were picturesque examples of the pristine beauty of the Byzantine Empires' architecture... quite different from the pictures of Allepo, Syria, or Chechnia... My mind is very open and your assumption of me is completely off base. I don't hate "all things Russian", I have close Russian friends, some from the Ukraine who think the same way......and they lived there, they have family suffering there now, they actually know the situation from within. I trust them more than the media!

Have you ever seen pictures of him in uniform? Hungary deported the Jews under German occupation between May and July of 1944. Soros was not yet 14 yrs old. Was never a nazi.....lived with a Nazi to cover up the fact he was a Jew! He helped serve deportation notices to some of the Jews of Budapest, but didn't kill anyone, nor did he send anyone to a camp, he was NOT serving in the Nazi party.

Ukraine is a free country, has been since the Soviets left ALL the European countries they previously controlled, starting in 1991.
All those countries east of Russia became free to form their own governments in any way they within agreed to do so. They all shed the control of the Soviets, including the Soviet Union (sort of), when she became Russia once more! Borders were agreed upon, and have been for over 30 years.
Russia didn't have the right to go in to get rid of the Nazis in Ukraine, that is the job of Ukraine if they find it to be a problem, those 2500 Nazis pose no danger to Russia! Russia's claim they have Russian citizens living in Ukraine is rediculous, they could offer them to move to Russia. Just because we have large numbers of Mexicans should America become part of Mexico?
The EU didn't consider Ukraine for membership, neither did NATO. Just because Ukraine had those hopes means nothing when they have no money to join, no industry, economy to speak of to be apart, not a burden. That claim on part of Russia for the invasion is moot as well.
Weather Ukrain is a real democracy or not makes no difference, they can be whatever they wish, they have been a sovereign nation, recognized as a sovereign nation since the Soviets left. They can be corrupt, a kingdom, communists, a socialist republic, a constitutional republic......it is up to them, not Russia, not the world. We do not make our neighbors, we just hope we end up with good ones, and we don't take them over just because we don't like how they did their landscaping, or how they run their household.

If you know who Putin really is few of you would like him, and what he is doing in Ukraine is not justifiable on any level, he did not have the LEGAL right to go in. How we are handling all this is our problem, a reflection on us and history will judge us for it. With all the political intanglements is it a complex situation .....you bet, the Bidens as every bit as corrupt as the Ukraine leadership has been especially under the Obama and Biden regime. They were the ones to take advantage of the corruption there for personal gain!
