Nevada's flag has a cobalt blue background. A five-pointed silver star (silver is the state metal) is positioned in the upper left quarter of the flag between two sprays of sagebrush that cross to form a half-wreath (sagebrush is Nevada's state flower, and one of Nevada's nicknames is "The Sagebrush State").
Across the top of the wreath is a golden scroll with the words "Battle Born" in black letters. The phrase "Battle Born" signifies that Nevada entered the Union during the Civil War.

Is anyone here as worried as I am about 1) Dems figuring out way for Obummer to run for third term and 2) Obummer may make new gun control laws by executive order.
Both of these absolutely give me nightmares! Anyone else?
Restricting our rights as honest gub owners wii not stop the bad guy from getting and type of gun they want.
We all must get together and stop this BS on Gun Control. It is our 2nd amenment right and should not be stepped on by any president or any member of the government. These left wing nuts will try anything to really restrict our gun rights if we let them.

I can't believe I hadn't found this group before! I have been involved with the TEA Party since 2009, was a member of the Leaders' Coalition, helped infiltrate and take over the CCRCC in 2009. I served as Deputy Comm Dir and Comm Dir, also elected to the E-Board before realizing that the "establishment Republicans" were fighting us every step of the way. So I finally gave up the pointless effort to affect any change among the Republicans, examined my principles and beliefs, and joined the Libertarian Party. The Libertarian Party in Nevada is going through major restructuring and strategic planning to evolve into a serious political party, and away from the "social club for misfits" as it had been considered previously. Not only do I serve as the Communications Director for the state party, I also edit the blog on our new web site LPNevda.org, include authoring articles as well. I was nominated at the state convention to run for Congress in CD-1 Nevada, the District vacated by Shelley Berkeley once she declared for the Senate race. While I have nothing against the five Republicans also running, I believe we must get away from the two party system which has caused us to be in the predicament in which we currently find ourselves, and electing another member of either major party is inviting more of the same - it is time for a real change. I support Governor Gary Johnson for President, the man has an outstanding record as Governor of New Mexico upon which to build. No more Obama, no way, no how! No more status quo!
