Upon hearing of Chick-fil-A’s donation to the liberal organization, FRC President Tony Perkins said, “Not only has Chick-fil-A abandoned donations to Christian groups, including the Salvation Army, it has donated to one of the most extreme anti-Christian groups in America.” Perkins called on conservatives to seek a fast-food alternative, but boycotts are rarely successful and besides, the sandwiches taste good.

True to form, earlier this year The New York Times, one of the Left’s most influential propaganda organs, gave us the 1619 Project, which seeks to “reframe” the year 1619 as the “true” founding of America in an attempt to cast America as fundamentally racist to its core.

What do leftists find so special about the year 1619? According to the Times, that’s when slavery was introduced in the New World. Fake news! Once again, leftists get it wrong. Some Native American tribes practiced slavery for centuries before that, and the Spanish enslaved Native Americans a hundred years earlier. But this isn’t about slavery itself. This is about making the claim that America was founded not for the cause of Liberty but to establish a slave-ocracy.

The project leans hard into identity politics at the core of the Democrat Party and the Left in general. Leftists often claim that every institution in modern America is inherently racist, from our schools to our economy, even the roads on which we drive. With the 1619 Project, the revisionists now equate these supposedly racist institutions with the slavery of America’s past so that they can say we haven’t changed, and nothing short of a “fundamental transformation of the United States” will save us. In other words, vote Democrat. (Just forget while you do that Democrats were the party of slavery and lynching.)

The 1619 project is a broadside attack on American history and how it is taught. Don’t be complacent about the reach of the New York Times just because its readership consists primarily of people who already believe the muck that it prints every day. Much of America’s print news media still takes its cues from the Times, reprinting its articles and often using the Times itself as a source for reporting. Worse, public schools across the country are encouraged to insert the 1619 Project into their already feeble American history curriculums. There are also regular features in the Sunday Times magazine, a website, a podcast, and other assorted 1619 propaganda.

Fortunately, many of America’s preeminent history scholars have spoken out against the 1619 Project for lacking context and being factually incorrect. Pulitzer Prize-winning author and Brown University professor  Gordon Wood points out, “Slavery existed for thousands of years without substantial criticism. And the first real anti-slave movement takes place in North America. And it’s a massive movement that is unprecedented in the history of the world.”

Fellow Pulitzer Prize-winning historian James McPherson, who has written extensively about the Civil War, said, “I think it lacks context. [It] lacks perspective on the entire course of slavery and how slavery began and how slavery in the United States was hardly unique.”

Award-winning writer James Oakes also criticized the 1619 Project. “These are really dangerous tropes. They’re not only ahistorical, they’re actually anti-historical.”

None of these historians were consulted for the 1619 Project, and Wood notes that he is unaware of any of his colleagues who were approached. That is because the 1619 Project is not a work of history, it is a political propaganda constructed by journalists and leftist opinion writers. The real goal of the 1619 project is nothing short of rewriting American history to tear down our institutions and convince young people to hate this country.   ~The Patriot Post

“The Democrats’ impeachment inquiry paints a picture of unelected bureaucrats within the foreign policy and national security apparatus who fundamentally disagreed with President Trump’s style, world view, and decisions,” the report concludes. “Their disagreements with President Trump’s policies and their discomfort with President Trump’s actions set in motion the anonymous, secondhand whistleblower complaint. Democrats seized on the whistleblower complaint to fulfill their years-old obsession with removing President Trump from office.”

The Republican report is a “prebuttal” of sorts for the report expected later today from House Intelligence Committee Chairman scumbag/liar-Adam Schiff, who will attempt to make the case for impeachment as a layup to House Judiciary Committee hearings that begin tomorrow. scumbag/liar-Schiff says he’s rushing his report because of the dire circumstances: “This is a threat to the integrity of the upcoming election, and we don’t feel it should wait, in particular when we already have overwhelming evidence of the president’s misconduct.”

We pause to note that scumbag/liar-Schiff’s report waited while Democrats took a week-long Thanksgiving break.

Meanwhile, Judiciary Committee Chairman scumbag liar-Jerry Nadler finally released his first list of witnesses.  According to The Wall Street Journal, “The Judiciary panel’s impeachment hearing on Wednesday will be its first on the matter, and it will hear from a group of experts on what constitutes an impeachable offense. Four academics are scheduled to testify on the opening day: Noah Feldman of Harvard Law School; Pamela Karlan of Stanford Law School; Michael Gerhardt of the University of North Carolina School of Law; and Jonathan Turley of George Washington University Law School.”

Finally, in a development that would be no surprise whatsoever, “House Democrats are debating whether to expand articles of impeachment to include charges beyond abuse of power in the Ukraine controversy,” reports The Washington Post. “Members of the House Judiciary Committee and other more liberal-minded lawmakers and congressional aides have been privately discussing the possibility of drafting articles that include obstruction of justice or other ‘high crimes’ they believe are clearly outlined in special counsel Robert S. Mueller III’s report — or allegations that Trump has used his office to benefit his bottom line.”

Translation: Democrats think combining the fizzled impeachment coup 1.0 (Trump/Russia) with its coup 2.0 sequel (Trump/Ukraine), is the combo to defeat Trump. Color us skeptical.   ~The Patriot Post

Despite all of the above, the more than five hundred  states and municipalities that embrace sanctuary polices for illegal aliens have determined that some supremacy is “more equal” than others. Moreover, according to the Federation for American Immigration Reform (FAIR), the number of states and municipalities that refuse some level of cooperation with federal immigration authorities has jumped by more than 200 since Donald Trump took office.

“This is just an astounding and a dramatic surge of sanctuary jurisdictions,” Bob Dane, FAIR’s executive director, stated in 2018. “They’ve doubled in just two years, and if you game that out, if the exponential growth continues, it’s not going to be long before it’s accurate to say the U.S. is a sanctuary country.”

Or, one could simply say that of all the efforts by the American Left to undo the 2016 election, this is by far the most blatant.

It’s not that Trump hasn’t tried to address the issue. When he entered office he signed an executive order discouraging the practice of protecting illegal aliens from deportation. The aforementioned states and municipalities ignored him. Then Trump signed an executive order attempting to cut off federal funding for sanctuary cities. In response, San Francisco U.S. District Judge William Orrick, an scumbag/liar-nObama appointee, ruled that Trump’s “coercive” order was unconstitutional. Moreover, he asserted his ruling covered the entire country.

The following year, a panel for the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit ruled 2-1 in favor of Orrick’s determination, but said he went too far in imposing his decision on the entire nation. Thus the panel narrowed the injunction’s scope to California alone.

Trump’s DOJ then sued California, alleging three new state laws, designed to protect certain illegals from deportation by the federal government, were unconstitutional. Once again in April 2019, another three-judge panel from the U.S. Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals unanimously blocked the administration. More egregiously, the panel further determined two state laws restricting local law enforcement from notifying federal immigration authorities of the release dates of immigrant inmates, and requiring employers to alert employees (read: possible illegal-alien employees) before federal immigration inspections, were also OK.

Constitutional supremacy? Apparently it only applies when one is trying to oppose illegal immigration. When one supports wholesale law-breaking that engenders as many as 20 million illegals living here, working here — and even committing additional and often felonious crimes here?

Federal control of immigration laws is apparently irrelevant.

Americans are paying the price, and U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) is making sure they know the details. On Nov. 22, the agency released  examples of foreign nationals with active ICE detainers who have been detained for serious criminal offenses in Maryland’s Montgomery and Prince George’s Counties, but who were shielded from ICE.

They included individuals charged with sexual abuse against minors, assault, rape, and attempted murder.

Regardless, these counties will be releasing these people back onto the streets. “The county leadership has chosen misguided politics over public safety,” Baltimore, Maryland, ICE official Francisco Madrigal said in a statement.

Not misguided. Utterly contemptuous, and insanely dangerous. That’s especially true when one considers the reality that ICE was forced to arrest two teenagers for a second time after they were arrested the first time in Prince George County — and charged with attempted first-degree murder, attempted second-degree murder, participation in gang activity, conspiracy to commit murder, attempted robbery, and other related charges by Prince George’s County Police Department (PGCPD).

Despite those charges, and despite a detainer request issued by ICE, both men were released on an unknown date and time without notification to ICE. When they were rearrested they were charged with first-degree murder. Their latest victim? A teenage girl. One who would still be alive were it not for the utter bankruptcy of progressive ideology.

How have we come to a place where elected officials and law-enforcement officers can essentially choose which laws they will and won’t enforce? Columnist Michael Cutler nails it. “The biggest issue is that for the wealthy and powerful, the immigration system is not broken,” he explains. “For them immigration has become a delivery system that delivers an unlimited supply of cheap and easily exploited labor, an unlimited supply of foreign tourists, and nearly unlimited supply of foreign students and finally, and of extreme significance considering that both political parties have members in key positions who are attorneys, an unlimited supply of clients for immigration law firms.”

Underscoring that assessment is the reality that both parties have had complete control of the federal government for two years each, Democrats from 2008-2010, and Republicans from 2016-2018 — and neither of them made the slightest effort to reverse the anarchist status quo.

Moreover, it is impossible to square countless calls for “comprehensive immigration reform,” with the reality that such calls ignore the fact that we already reformed  immigration in 1986 when 2.7 million illegals were granted unambiguous amnesty, ostensibly in exchange for securing the border and cracking down on employers who hire illegals. Because the last two provisions of the Immigration Reform and Control Act of 1986 have been routinely and conspicuously ignored, the influx of illegals accelerated exponentially, ultimately precipitating the “Dreamers,” a propagandist term of the first order. Moreover, the Dreamer agenda is even worse: because the Rule of Law has been ignored for 33 years, Americans are expected to abide another round of legalization for a specific cohort of illegals because they’ve spent their entire lives here. And just for good measure, progressive-promulgated “compassion” demands we abide their extended families as well.

Anyone who disagrees? Heartless, bigoted — or both.

In 2017, President Trump stated that “a nation without borders is not a nation.” What Americans must understand is that the elimination of the nation state per se is the ultimate ambition of the globalist agenda. In that context, everything that abets illegal aliens — from drivers’ licenses and in-state college tuition to health insurance, voting in municipal elections, and sanctuary cities — makes perfect sense.

USA Today reports, “House Democrats have been clear that if they decide to take up articles of impeachment, they want to vote on it before Christmas — leaving about three weeks for hearings, drafting of one or more articles of impeachment, a vote in the House Judiciary Committee on articles and a full House vote.”

The Hill adds the obvious: “Articles of impeachment against President Trump over his dealings with Ukraine are widely considered near-inevitable — and imminent.” But also, “Virtually no one expects the Senate to vote in favor of removing Trump from office.”  ~The Patriot Post

The draconian and obviously unconstitutional law was immediately challenged by Second Amendment advocates. In a move clearly demonstrating that New York officials knew their law violates the Second Amendment, they sought to prevent the issue from being taken up by the Supreme Court by changing the law to allow gun-owning residents to transport their firearms outside city limits provided it was “directly to and from” a second home or shooting range.

However, this “voluntary cessation” didn’t stop the justices from deciding to hear the case, as they rightly note that the issue at stake is the Second Amendment’s protection of individuals’ right to bear and not merely possess arms. Furthermore, New York officials are clearly seeking to undermine the Heller decision, which protects the right to bear firearms for the “core lawful purpose of self-defense,” as well as “learning to handle and use [arms]” and “hunting.” By limiting a gun owner’s right to bear firearms only in his place of residence, New York was effectively attempting to gut Heller, which is likely why the justices are keen to take up this case to reassert the Court’s judicial authority. Clarence Thomas, for one, has been particularly vocal about the erosion of the Second Amendment by municipalities and lower courts.

Predictably, the anti-gun crowd isn’t happy. Democrat Sen. Sheldon Whitehouse (RI) warned the Court that if it did not drop the case, he and his fellow Democrats would work to “restructure” the Court. “The Supreme Court is not well. And the people know it,” Whitehouse ridiculously asserted. He added, “Perhaps the Court can heal itself before the public demands it be ‘restructured in order to reduce the influence of politics.’ Particularly on the urgent issue of gun control, a nation desperately needs it to heal.” Oh, the irony. Who exactly is seeking to inject “the influence of politics” into the Court in order to eliminate Americans’ Second Amendment rights? It certainly isn’t the NRA or Republicans.

If the Court follows the precedent it set with Heller, it’s likely that the ruling will come down to a 5-4 decision. No wonder anti-Second Amendment activists are so upset over the Court’s decision to hear the case.
