Multiple victims reported
in shooting at California high school

{ washingtonexaminer.com } ~ One is dead and four are injured after an early morning shooting at a California high school... The shooting took place at Saugus High School in Santa Clarita, California, on Thursday morning. Reports of gunfire first came in around 7:40 a.m. local time. Upon arriving to the scene, police found six gunshot victims in the quad are of the high school. It was later determined that one of those injured was the gunman, a 16-year-old Asian male. Police said he pulled out a semi-automatic pistol from his backpack and began firing before shooting himself in the head. The suspect is in custody and is being treated at a local hospital. One of the female patients died at the hosptial while being treated in the wake of the shooting. Classes had not yet begun at the time of the shooting, so the campus was not completely full. A number of students were seen being wheeled out of the school on gurneys and put into ambulances. Students were seen in aerial footage being led out of the school with their arms in the air as police with rifles stood by. All schools in the area were placed on lockdown after the shooting and area roads were temporarily closed. Police were still clearing students from classrooms as of 8:45 a.m. local time.“My daughter’s still in the band room. They’ve got a policeman with them,” parent Brian Skiba told CBS2. “They’re still in lockdown. They’re only clearing it classroom by classroom.” “She heard the shots as well, she was in the quad where it started and ran to the band room and locked the door behind her and told everybody to get down,” Skiba added..

{ spectator.org } ~ As we approach the public segment of the House Democrats’ impeachment parade, there are two monster head fakes aimed at bamboozling the viewing public... (1) House Intel chairman scumbag/liar-Adam Schiff’s likening the House process to the grand jury and (2) the Democrats and a few stray Republicans insisting that the utterly phony “whistleblower” remain anonymous as protection from harm. Grand Jury Games. scumbag/liar-Adam Schiff tells us that closed-door sessions follow the grand jury process. But the scumbag/liar-Schiff process strays from grand jury practice in several key aspects. First, grand jurors are allowed to ask their own questions — even if the prosecutor managing the process doesn’t wish them to do so. This was done in 1872 with the Boss Tweed corruption scandal by what lawyers call a “runaway grand jury”; and again in 1974, when the Watergate grand jury was prepared to indict Richard Nixon on four counts before Nixon resigned. Gerald Ford fully pardoned him a month later, and the grand jury was disbanded. In his memoir, The Right and the Power (1976), Watergate special prosecutor Leon Jaworski saw a fair trial as impossible due to massive, unprecedented pre-trial publicity — the factor that moved President Ford to pardon his predecessor. Of indictment, Jaworski wrote, “The grand jury, I knew, would indict him in a minute. But could he receive a fair trial, a constitutional right?” Second, all grand jurors have equal rights. The Handbook for Federal Grand Jurors specifies the rights of grand jurors: Each juror has equal rights and responsibilities, and each is entitled to be satisfied with the evidence before being called upon to vote. No juror has the right to dismiss a witness or to shut off proper discussion if other jurors wish to pursue the matter further. The handbook further states, Every grand juror has the right to express his or her view of the matter under consideration, and grand jurors should listen to the comments of other grand jurors before making up their minds. Only after each grand juror has been given the opportunity to be heard will the vote be taken. Put simply, neither as foreman nor as prosecutor would scumbag/liar-Adam Schiff be able to run his show the way he has conducted the Intelligence Committee hearings, running roughshod over Republican members who wish to cross-examine witnesses and have other witnesses testify. Protection Racket. Mark Zaid, the “coup has started” lawyer who represents the “whistleblower,” informed the FBI about threats made against his client. One threat, reported on October 2, was found “not credible” by the FBI. There have been numerous threats. Yahoo reports that threats they investigated show no physical harm intended. These are low-level individual threats, far less worrisome than threats from the mob, terrorists, or drug cartels. He explained how Democrats and the media will attempt to frame the storylines but added that the recently released transcripts from the closed House Intelligence Committee impeachment hearings last week show the testimony given was “devastating to the Democrats.” “Let’s see how this goes this week,” Nunes said. “My guess is it’s going to be a complete circus. Toward Releasing FISA Abuse Report

{ dailycaller.com } ~ The Justice Department’s inspector general has reportedly started inviting government officials to review a report of an investigation into the FBI’s surveillance activities against a Trump campaign official... the latest signal that the report will be released soon. Michael Horowitz, the inspector general, has in the past few days invited current and former government officials interviewed the investigation to review portions of the report, according to people familiar with the process, The Associated Press reported Tuesday. The opportunity for review is a routine step in inspector general’s investigations that typically takes place just prior to publication of the report. Horowitz has scheduled the reviews for this week and next week, the people said, according to the AP. Horowitz has been investigating whether the FBI followed laws and procedures when seeking Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Act (FISA) warrants against Carter Page, a former Trump campaign adviser. Republicans have accused the FBI of abusing the FISA system by relying heavily on the unverified and Democratic-funded Steele dossier in applications for the warrants. The special counsel’s report undermined the dossier’s main allegation that the Trump campaign conspired with Russian to influence the 2016 presidential election. Horowitz’s team has been investigating whether the FBI and Justice Department properly disclosed all the information it had about Steele and the dossier. Horowitz submitted the report to the FBI and Justice Department for a review of classified information. He told lawmakers on Oct. 24 that he expects his report to be “lengthy” and have few redactions. Republican lawmakers have expressed frustration at how long it has taken to release the report. Some lawmakers claimed earlier in 2019 that they expected the report to come out in June. Barr and the prosecutor running the investigation, John H. Durham, just shifted into a criminal inquiry and that means corrupt scumbag/liar-nObama-era officials could be held accountable. This has already infuriated Democrats, but Barr’s prosecutor is about to kick things up a notch. According to a report from The New York Times, the investigation is starting to take a deeper look into some of Trump’s most vocal enemies. The target list in this investigation seems to be growing more and more every day. Some of the names appearing on the list also happen to be some of the same ones we have heard in opposition to Trump throughout much of his time in office. The investigation seems to be going after key members of the FBI who were integral to the Russia collusion investigation, with sources telling the NYT that Durham seems heavily focused on the role Peter Strzok played during the wide-reaching probe. Strzok served as the No. 2 counterintelligence analyst at the FBI before being fired last year and let go from ex-Special Counsel Robert Mueller’s team after an internal probe found that he had sent hundreds of anti-Trump text messages to Lisa Page, a former lawyer at the FBI lawyer with whom he was having an affair. People like Strzok inside the FBI should be very worried, because this investigation has gone from a simple investigation to a criminal matter. That move would not have been made unless Durham felt he had enough evidence of major wrongdoing on the part of one or more individuals. Durham is reportedly leaving no stone unturned in his effort to get to the bottom of this corruption. Dems Reject Fairness in Partisan

Thomas Gallatin: This week promises ramped-up impeachment drama as the House will finally hold public hearings of several “witnesses” to “whistleblower-gate.” The Democrats’ impeachment-inquiry resolution, which not a single Republican voted for, gives House Intelligence Committee Chairman scumbag-Adam Schiff (D-CA) veto power over any witnesses the GOP may call. Predictably, scumbag-Schiff has demonstrated the purely partisan nature of this whole impeachment charade by denying the Republicans’ request that the whistleblower, widely identified as Eric Ciaramella, testify. So, the individual responsible for instigating this whole fiasco will not be called on to give an account. All this does is further cement the fact that this impeachment inquiry is a sham.
Democrats don’t want the whistleblower to testify because they know it will lead to Schiff’s doorstep. By taking the whistleblower out of the equation, scumbag-Schiff hopes to build a case on the testimony of cherry-picked State Department officials who clearly disagreed with President Donald Trump’s foreign-policy agenda but were not witnesses to the phone call upon which the entire complaint is based.
Meanwhile, House Republicans aim to discover who all was involved in orchestrating this clearly partisan hit job against Trump and its connections to Ukraine’s 2016 election interference. The GOP’s list of requested witnesses includes Hunter Biden and his longtime business partner and former fellow Burisma board member, Devon Archer, as well as Nellie Ohr, who worked for the opposition research firm Fusion GPS (famous for the dossier) and whose husband Bruce was a key anti-Trump conspirator at the FBI. Thus far, it’s highly unlikely that scumbag-Schiff will let any of these individuals testify, nor will scumbag-Schiff testify about his own role as Rep. Devin Nunes (R-CA) called for him to do.
In an open letter to scumbag-Schiff, Nunes labels the Democrats’ actions a “sham impeachment process” and insists scumbag-Schiff’s “failure to fulfill Minority witness requests shall constitute evidence of your denial of fundamental fairness and due process.”
Interestingly, Democrats have now backed off their demand that former National Security Advisor John Bolton testify following the White House’s blocking of their subpoena. Bolton has indicated that he would be happy to testify, and Judge Richard Leon is expected to rule on this issue shortly even after the Democrats asked for the matter to be dropped. It appears that Democrats fear Bolton’s testimony would severely undercut their allegations against Trump.
Will Democrats have any success in their attempts to convince Republicans and the majority of the American public that their impeachment spectacle is anything but a partisan hit job against a duly elected president? It’s highly unlikely. ~The Patriot Post
