What 'Doesn't Happen in Other Countries'? 
While in Paris for the UN climate summit, Barack nObama made his entry for "Non Compos Mentis Quote of the Year." Referring to last week's murderous rampage at a Colorado Planned Parenthood, he opined, "Obviously, my heart goes out to the families of those impacted. I mean, I say this every time we’ve got one of these mass shootings: This just doesn’t happen in other countries.”
Wait, what? nObama is in Paris, where they just endured a jihadist attack in which Islamic State terrorists killed 130. Most of the dead were killed in mass shootings. Earlier this year, Paris' Charlie Hebdo offices were attacked, again by Islamofascists wielding rifles, and 11 were killed.
nObama did seem to catch himself, though, and went on about being "rightly determined to prevent terrorist attacks wherever they occur." But his problem is that he always thinks he's the smartest, sensible and most compassionate guy in the room. He saw a chance to bash America before the rest of the world while waxing eloquent about gun control, and he seized it, only to utter something completely senseless.

Syrian Refugees = English Pilgrims, Says nObama
"Nearly four centuries after the Mayflower set sail, the world is still full of pilgrims — men and women who want nothing more than the chance for a safer, better future for themselves and their families," Barack nObama told us over the Thanksgiving holiday. "What makes America America is that we offer that chance." He was, of course, making the argument that we should open the doors to Syrian refugees, some of whom we've warned may be radical Islamists bent on our destruction. Such a Trojan horse isn't wise. But on the bright side, nObama had something positive to say about Christian pilgrims...
Meanwhile, in completely unrelated news (we're sure), a survey last year of both Arabs and a subset of Syrian refugees found that the vast majority had a "negative view" of the Islamic State. It's understandable that true refugees would have a rather dour opinion of the jihadis forcing them from their homes. But the disturbing reality is the flip side — 13% of Syrian refugees had a positive opinion of the Islamic State. Given that nObama completely underestimated the growth of the Islamic State and has based his policy on either political expediency or cooked intelligence, do we really trust his administration to vet refugees and weed out Islamic State sympathizers? While 13% is minuscule when you're counting votes, it's an enormous threat when considering potential terrorists being allowed into the country. -The Patriot Post

Iran Seeks to Hide Its Efforts to Make an A-Bomb
Iran threatened Sunday to walk away from the United Nations agreement limiting its nuclear program unless a UN report investigating whether or not the county tried to weaponize its nuclear program in the past is spiked. The International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) must release, no later than Dec. 15, a report exploring the possible military dimensions of Iran's nuclear program. The head of the IAEA said last week that the investigation — dubbed the PDM file — will not be a "black and white assessment," but it's still too uncomfortable for Iran. It's a big deal, as some countries like France will use the report to decide whether or not to lift economic sanctions against Iran as part of the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action. And while the report has always been part of the plan, Iran is back at the negotiation table, trying to keep its nuclear history in the dark. "Without the closure of the file regarding past issues, there is no possibility of implementing the JCPOA," said Admiral Ali Shamkhani, a top Iranian security official Sunday. "The P5+1 must choose between the JCPOA and leaving open the so-called PMD file."
You can expect the nObama administration to scurry back to the negotiation table, trying to ensure peace at any cost with a deal Iran never signed. But it would be better if the U.S. let the deal fall apart. As President Ronald Reagan said in his "A Time for Choosing" speech during the Cold War, "Every lesson of history tells us that the greater risk lies in appeasement, and this is the specter our well-meaning liberal friends refuse to face — that their policy of accommodation is appeasement, and it gives no choice between peace and war, only between fight or surrender. If we continue to accommodate, continue to back and retreat, eventually we have to face the final demand — the ultimatum."

Rebuking the Islamic State by Fighting Climate Change? On Monday, government officials from 195 countries convened in Paris for a climate conference to begin discussing how to save the world from ourselves. It would be laudable if these government officials were meeting to discuss how to unite to defeat the Islamic State — the real threat to humanity. But for now, despite Paris being the target for coordinated terrorist attacks just weeks ago, it is more important for these world “leaders” to discuss how to combat the ever-changing temperature.
During a press conference last week, Barack nObama announced his intentions to attend this Global Climate Conference, oh so bravely in the face of terrorism. Some of his comments were perhaps the most laughable if not dangerously ignorant remarks ever uttered from a commander in chief. He proclaimed, “What a powerful rebuke to the terrorists it will be when the world stands as one and shows that we will not be deterred from building a better future for our children.”
Powerful rebuke? This isn't just weak rhetoric, it's madness. It's also a lie. Does nObama or anyone else in the world really believe that the Islamic State will consider this meeting in Paris as a rebuke to jihad? The message this sends to the Islamic State is that world leaders are more concerned with the false threat of the world burning up than they are about a large group of terrorists committed to killing innocent people.
Keep in mind that this climate change summit is being held by the United Nations. The UN can turn out an estimated 40,000 people from 195 different nations to address the “threat” of climate change, but it somehow can’t get that many people on board to hold a conference to fight Islamic terrorism. As Investor's Business Daily notes, “That would require hard work and genuine dedication. Fighting global warming is easy, though. It's not a real enemy. It didn't kill and maim hundreds in Paris.” -The Patriot Post

Was Iran Building a Bomb? UN Says “We Dunno”
{leanrightamerica.org} ~ The world has waited anxiously for the United Nation’s International Atomic Energy Agency to deliver their final report on whether or not Iran was seeking to develop a nuclear weapon for the last decade... Iran earned their way clear of international sanctions earlier this year by providing the U.N. with the information they needed to finish the investigation. But now, with the report about to be publicly released, the U.N. is telling interested parties to dampen their enthusiasm. “The report will not be black and white,” said IAEA chief Yukiya Amano at a press conference this week. He suggested that the report was less a comprehensive view of Iran’s nuclear machinations and more a “jigsaw puzzle” that member countries could piece together for themselves. He told reporters that it would be up to others to decide whether or not to lift sanctions on the basis of the report. Ryan promised that he would restore “regular order” to the House of Representatives and would fix the “broken” system that was both hedging up the path to passage of some legislation and giving preferential treatment to other (pet project) legislation. His promise was undoubtedly intended to help secure the support of constitutionally minded congressmen for his grab for the speaker’s gavel. The emails in question were deemed classified before their release by the department – and the former secretary of state has said all along she never sent emails with material marked classified at the time. In the days after Paris Emily Dickinson’s poem kept ringing through my mind as I tried to figure out what I felt—and, surprisingly, didn’t feel. I did not, as the facts emerged and the story took its full size, feel surprised. Nor did I feel swept by emotion, as I had in the past. The sentimental tweeting of that great moment in “Casablanca” when they stand to sing “La Marseillaise” left me unmoved. I didn’t feel anger, really. I felt grave, as if something huge and terrible had shifted and come closer. Did you feel this too?

All he can do at this point is troll the GOP with the mischief of his refugee program. If he can’t work up a passion about radical Islamic violence, at least he can tie the Republicans in knots over whether they’re heartless bigots who want to prevent widows and children from taking refuge from the Syrian civil war.

This is a poor prioritizing of what faces us. The public is appropriately alarmed about exactly who we might be letting in. It would be easy, and commonsensical, to follow their prompting and pause the refugee program, figure out how to screen those seeking entrance more carefully, and let in only the peaceable. If that takes time, it takes time.

If Mr. nObama had wisdom as opposed to pride and a desire to smack around the GOP—a visit to Capitol Hill this week showed me he’s thinking a lot more about them than they are about him—he would recognize the refugee issue as a distraction from the most urgent priorities.

With the latest terrorist attack in Paris, how America improves its intelligence capabilities to detect and stop terrorist attacks is a top issue. Intertwined with that discussion is the reality that Americans face continued erosion of their privacy via “big data.” We accept some of this erosion in exchange for the freedom to harness technology to make our lives easier to navigate and to connect with friends, family, and colleagues. We know that every transaction we make using our smart phones or computers is being tracked, analyzed, and embedded with cookies by private entities for future use.

{LEO HOHMANN} ~ The Islamic State has recruited thousands of supporters in the United States, far more than previously thought, according to a scathing new report, raising the likelihood that supporters of the terrorist army could be plotting attacks similar to those carried out in Paris... And the “challenges of screening incoming refugees” from Muslim countries may be adding fuel to the fire, according to the report, authored by national security experts at the Threat Knowledge Group. The report accuses nObama of “downplaying” the threat of ISIS while adding to the threat by importing Muslim refugees that are difficult to screen.

AN ASTONISHING series of secret tunnels carved by hand by ISIS militants have been found littered with drugs, copies of the Quran and US-made ammunition. The underground tunnels, used by ISIS militants to hide from bomb raids, were discovered under Sinjar, which has only recently liberated from ISIS control. The extremist fighters used the tunnels to move undetected and avoid coalition airstrikes. The besieged Iraqi town had been held by Islamic State for more than a year before being recaptured by Kurdish troops.

A war to protect other human beings against tyrannical injustice; a war to give victory to their own ideas of right and good, and which is their own war, carried on for an honest purpose by their free choice, — is often the means of their regeneration. A man who has nothing which he is willing to fight for, nothing which he cares more about than he does about his personal safety, is a miserable creature who has no chance of being free, unless made and kept so by the exertions of better men than himself. The nObama administration has been plagued for weeks over news U.S. weapons supplied to Syrian rebels were inadvertently winding up in the hands of terror groups. The media giant’s tweet on Tuesday alludes to something far more sinister. Major media outlets covered the ineptitude of nObama’s U.S.-trained rebels in early November, but there was no evidence he purposefully sent weapons to terror networks determined to attack America. “Moderate rebels who had been armed and trained by the United States either surrendered or defected to the extremists as the Jabhat al-Nusra group, affiliated with al-Qaida, swept through the towns and villages the moderates controlled in the northern province of Idlib, in what appeared to be a concerted push to vanquish the moderate Free Syrian Army, according to rebel commanders, activists and analysts,” the Washington Post reported Nov. 2. 
{Warner Todd Huston} ~ An FBI counterterrorism expert has delivered a stunning warning about terrorism right here in America. Although frightening, many believe it makes perfect sense... Dr. Sebastian Gorka, an expert on counterinsurgency and counterterrorism and who runs The Gorka Briefing website, appeared on Fox News with Megyn Kelly on Wednesday to warn Americans that ISIS is already among us and that we shouldn’t sit back and expect the government to protect us. “Don’t wait for Uncle Sam to protect you. Every American has a duty and responsibility to be aware of the threat and be prepared to protect themselves,” Gorka told Kelly.
