Is America a republic?

Absolutely! I am heart sick that Americans have deteriated into a "taker" society. In many ways, my generation (post WWII) created this "give me/me first" generation and we have been pushed by the progressivews/liberals so far away from the Founding Fathers ideals and those stated in the Constitution, Bill of Rights and other founding documents.
