Awww…Canadian Muslim whiners upset by Prime Minister Stephen Harper’s silence about anti-Muslim backlash following Islamic terrorist attacks

Once again playing the ‘victim’ card, Muslim groups are bitching that Stephen Harper hasn’t spoken out against a spike in alleged anti-Muslim ‘hate crimes’ since separate attacks by Muslim terrorists left two Canadian soldiers dead on Canadian soil.

PM Stepehn Harper: "I have more important things to worry about than Muslim feelings"i

PM Stepehn Harper: “I have more important things to worry about than Muslim feelings”

CTV News  The prime minister has not publicly uttered one word of support for Canadian Muslims following the incidents, which Harper and the RCMP have labelled acts of terrorism.

He’s remained silent despite an apparent backlash against Muslims , including the defacing of a mosque in Cold Lake, Alta., racist slurs against Muslim candidates in Toronto’s municipal election and threats against the B.C. Muslim Association.

o-MUNIRA-ABUKAR-facebook-e1414215445225

In the latest incident, windows were smashed early Friday morning at the Assunnah Muslims Association mosque in Ottawa.

xcold-lake-mosque.jpg.pagespeed.ic.t3ULcgBnsV

Mosque president Mohammed Mostefa believes the vandalism was “probably” in response to last week’s incidents: the hit-and-run murder of a soldier in Quebec and the killing of an honour guard at the National War Memorial by a gunman who then stormed the Parliament buildings.

In both cases, the killers were Canadian Muslims with an admiration for extremist Islamic terrorists who’ve been on a brutal rampage in Iraq and Syria.

Canada shaken by latest shooting

Muslim groups have condemned the killings and the extremist beliefs which apparently motivated them. But they say their efforts to demonstrate that most Muslims do not share those beliefs and to show solidarity with non-Muslim Canadians need to be reinforced by political leaders, particularly the prime minister.

When political leaders denounce Muslim extremists but don’t come to the defence of”moderate” Muslims, Mostefa said young Muslims will think: “This is my country and you don’t come to my support to stand by my side.” And that sends “the wrong message.” (No, it sends the right message – this is NOT your country, you are just squatting here, collecting welfare and breeding future jihadists!)

BxHEsuwCEAAwhhf_jpglarge-vi

Mostefa’s mosque issued a statement Friday urging all elected officials, from the prime minister to municipal councillors, to denounce acts of hate against Canadian Muslims. (When Muslims stop attacking Canadians, maybe they’ll say something)

Immediately following the 9-11 terrorist attacks in New York and Washington, Elghawaby noted that then-prime minister Jean Chretien visited a mosque “just to show Canadians that there’s no such thing as collective guilt.” (Thank goodness Stephen Harper isn’t him)

She said her group expects Harper, “as leader of our country, to speak up for the minorities that live here.” (He does, just not for muslims) “He has a responsibility to represent everyone and certainly Canadian Muslim communities are extremely worried about a backlash and I think that needs to be spoken to.” (Stop terrorizing people all over the world and there won’t be a backlash.  Be happy he doesn’t deport you)

0

Alia Hogben, executive director of the Canadian Council of Muslim Women, said it’s “very disheartening” that Harper has not bothered to speak out against the anti-Muslim backlash. But it’s not surprising to her. “I don’t think he much likes Muslims,” Hogben said. (DING DING DING! That girl gets the prize)

Canada is a multicultural country with over 1 million Muslims, most of whom are Canadian citizens whose religion is only part of their identity, she pointed out. “I think it’s absolutely vital that the head of the country, like the prime minister, would accept that and also somehow reinforce it and reassure people.”(Maybe he’s too busy reassuring the victims of Muslim violence that he will do everything he can to prevent future terrorist attacks)

16158889-mmmain

“The prime minister has been clear that our full attention is on radicalized individuals, jihadis and anyone else who seeks to harm Canada or Canadians, including Canadian Muslims.”

Far left Liberal Leader Justin Trudeau, on the other hand, has acknowledged the concerns of Canadian Muslims more than once since the shootout on Parliament Hill. (He’s practically converted to Islam himself)

In a televised statement that night, he directly addressed “our friends and fellow citizens in the Muslim community,” saying that ignorant Canadian dhimmis like me know acts of violence “committed in the name of Islam are an aberration of your faith.”

NDP Leader Tom Mulcair issued an open letter to the Muslim community several days after the Parliament Hill shootout, promising that New Democrats can be counted on to fight racism and “Islamophobia” and to stand up for Muslim rights. Mulcair also took to social media to denounce the vandalism at the Cold Lake mosque, issuing several tweets on the matter.

Its a republic if you can keep it

At the close of the Constitutional Convention of 1787, a lady queried Benjamin Franklin as he left Independence Hall. The notes of Dr. James McHenry, one of Maryland's delegates to the Convention, recall: "A lady asked Dr. Franklin. "Well Doctor, what have we got a republic or a monarchy." "A republic," replied the Doctor, "if you can keep it."" As the dust settles over the 2014 mid-term elections, many Americans are breathing a sigh of relief that they still have a republic. But the question remains whether it can be kept. The answer will depend on how the American people can hold accountable newly-empowered Republicans, who in the past, have been less than dependable to live up to their name.

Americans should be inspired that their voice has been counted. There can be little analysis other than a rejection of the big, overreaching government agenda of the occupant of the Oval Office. The Republican ticket ran on repealing socialist health care, rolling back the intrusive and overpowering government, curtailing illegal immigration, and taking a firmer stand on jobs and foreign policy. Notwithstanding, the White House is determined to rule by executive order. ABC News' Jon Karl reported, "[White House] officials tell me the president is prepared to aggressively pursue his agenda using his power of executive authority, where he can't work with Congress, and the big one is going to be on immigration reform."

To date, Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-KY) and House Speaker John Boehner (R-Oh) have offered little in opposition to the "president's" Islamic-Marxist agenda. They have allowed unsecured borders; the establishment of socialist healthcare (including tax funding for abortion); the use of taxpayer money to fund Islamic terrorists who are avowed enemies of America; the continued trillions upon trillions to prop up Wall Street; the lack of a job initiative; racial divide; the abolishment of marriage; the rule of non-elected courts; the expansion of unconstitutional agencies and their unconstitutional acts; and the list goes on and on. Talk is cheap, but these men must be held to a higher standard.

While Americans fed up with a socialist democracy have taken the initial steps to return to a republic, the citizen's job is not finished. The hirelings that have been sent to correct our government, must be held accountable. This will take great vigilance. 1 Corinthians 10:12 says, "wherefore let him that thinks he stands take heed lest he fall." Galatians 5:1 says, "Stand fast therefore in the liberty wherewith Christ has made us free, and be not entangled again with the yoke of bondage." That yoke, while cracked and damaged, is not gone from our country. We must be vigilant; do our part. We have done well to stand in the gap, but the true test of morality, courage, and valor awaits, that our land not be destroyed.

The office of Georgia’s Secretary of State confirmed Tuesday that its website has been experiencing intermittent problems on Election Day . . .

Two of Georgia’s elections Tuesday hold high significance. Its Senate race could help determine majority control in the upper chamber, while its gubernatorial race could see the ouster of its Republican incumbent governor for Democrat Jason Carter, the grandson of former President Jimmy Carter. . .

More serious claims have been made elsewhere. In Connecticut, Gov. Dan Malloy is asking a judge to extend voting hours after delays and other problems were reported at Hartford polling locations Tuesday morning, according to local reports . . .

CNN affiliate WAVY in Virginia received reports from local voters who said they experienced voting machine errors at multiple locations.

And in North Carolina, conservative activist James O’Keefe released a new video Monday showing how he obtained ballots at polling stations by pretending to be inactive voters. The point of the video was to show the need for voter ID laws, which are scheduled to start in North Carolina in 2016.

California: Another middle school teaching tenets of Islam, parents pull son from class

Why are so many reports of Islamic propaganda being taught at public schools coming to light this school year? via Parents Pull Son from Class Because School Is Teaching Islam.

Parents of a boy enrolled in Manhattan Beach Middle School are pulling their son out of class because the school is teaching children the tents of Islam, Los Angeles news station KTLA reports.

The father said, “The audacity of this school, to think that they can sit these children down and teach ’em whatever religion they please; it’s preposterous. This is illegal, basically. You can’t teach religion in schools any more, but apparently, in this particular school, at least, that’s not the case.”

Parents said they discovered that what their children were learning about Islam was more about the tenets of the faith than the history of the religion, according to KTLA.One question asked the students to write down teachings from the Koran.

The father continued, “What I saw written in these bubbles was, ‘The one true God, Allah’ in one of the bubbles. In one of the other bubbles was ‘All people must submit to Allah,’ in another bubble. The I turned the page over and I see the five pillars of Islam.”

The parents assert that the students should be taught the history behind the religions, whether it is Christianity, Judaism, Buddhism, or others, but not the tenets of the faith.

Father: “Can you imagine the outcry all over this country if children were bringing home paperwork that asked them to write down John 3:16, or asked them to write down the 10 Commandments?”

Mother: “And if it ended with the Declaration of the Faith, Jesus Christ is my Lord and Savior? That’s what the equivalent, I mean, part of us, for our son? We’d be happy about that.”

Father: “But some parents may not be.”

The parents talked to the principal, but the school refused to change the schoolwork, prompting the parents to remove their son from the class. The school would not respond to questions from KTLA.

Also be aware of who is on your local school boards and committees. One reader wrote us and noted in their district with little to no Muslims there were three Muslims on a committee of ten parents that dictate how the school will focus improvement and monetary efforts. If for no other reason, make the commitment yourself for defensive reasons. Do it for your children and theirs.

DC Islamic Caucus: Muslims ‘obligated’ by sharia to vote as a bloc

…for Dems. via Blazing Cat Fur. h/t Daniel Greenfield who opines, “A little taste of the Islamization of America.” Creep, creep.

The endorsements are flying ahead of next week’s D.C. general election, but only one group’s have come with a religious edict.

That would be the endorsements of the D.C. Muslim Caucus, a group that is backing the Democratic nominees in the races on the D.C. ballot, plus independent at-large council candidate Elissa Silverman and two candidates in nonpartisan State Board of Education races. It is also urging a vote against Initiative 71, which would legalize the possession of small amounts of marijuana.

What sets the Muslim Caucus apart isn’t the candidates it is backing but this sentence in the Monday news release announcing those endorsements:According to Islamic tenets, Muslims participating in democratic elections are obligated to vote as a bloc based upon a consensus of the Muslim community.”

In other words, vote for Muriel E. Bowser, Eleanor Holmes Norton, Phil Mendelson, et al., or you’re not a good Muslim.

Asked about that exhortation, Muslim Caucus spokesman Talib Karim offered two publications he said supported the view that followers of Islam should vote en bloc for favored candidates. One is a statement adopted by a council of Islamic legal scholars at a 2007 meeting of the Muslim World League in Mecca.

That statement said Muslims in non-Islamic countries can vote “if clear benefits are achieved by doing so, such as presenting the correct image of Islam to the people, defending Muslims’ interests, protecting their rights, putting them in positions of influence, and cooperating with friendly moderates in achieving justice.” Muslims, it continued, must vote “with the intention of achieving benefits for the Muslims, and protecting them from harm and injustice,”…

That sounds like it could have been written by ISIS. Or Hamas. Or CAIR. Or Mohammed.

Be sure that mosques are giving the same orders to Muslims, and busing voters to polling stations.

Florida: Videos depict Muslim convert burning American flag, preaching jihad

via Videos depict young Jacksonville terrorist enthusiast burning American flag, preaching jihad | members.jacksonville.com.

Shelton Thomas Bell had a fondness for shooting video of himself.

But while most show them performing or playing pranks, Bell recorded himself burning an American flag, preaching jihad and repeating sermons given by an American-born Muslim cleric who was killed in a U.S. drone strike.

Thursday those images of a bearded and long-haired Jacksonville resident were played in a Jacksonville courtroom while the 20-year-old, now clean-shaven with closely cropped hair, watched impassively with his lawyer while sitting at a defense table in a red prison uniform and shackles.

Bell previously pleaded guilty to conspiring and attempting to provide material support to terrorists and faces up to 30 years in prison. Prosecutors are asking U.S. District Judge Timothy Corrigan to sentence Bell to 30 years in prison, while defense attorneys are arguing for a more lenient sentence.

Bell generated suspicions at the Islamic Center in Jacksonville after talking with teenagers about jihad and the civil war in Syria.

Bell speaks repeatedly of the need for Muslims to rise up against the United States and other western powers. The videos also show him firing guns, making amateur bombs and criticizing Muslims who oppose terrorism, calling them “blatant hypocrites.” He and another man also are shown getting ready to vandalize an Arlington church in July 2012. Statues were defaced at Chapel Hills Memory Gardens cemetery, with the head and arms of Jesus cut off.

The video of guns and bombs also show him burning a small American flag while several others cheer.

As The United West noted recently, Charlie Crist’s campaign for governor in Florida is being run by Muslim activist and Obama insider Omar Khan. In 2008, Khan successfully killed a program that watched students coming to the U.S. from Islamic terror states. So how much different is Khan’s ideology than Bell’s? And how far compromised is Crist?

Vote smart Florida.

Air Force General inadvertantly suggests jihad recruiting coming from mosques

Breedlove is essentially confirming what Muslim professor Salim Mansur stated in a post we published earlier today, that is: Muslims are being incubated by the ideologies within the mosques. via Air Force General calls on moderate Muslims to speak out against Islamic State | TheBlaze.com.

A four-star U.S. Air Force General on Monday said the U.S. would only begin to stop the Islamic State’s recruiting efforts when moderate Muslim voices around the world stand against the terrorist acts being carried out by the group.

“I think that I sign up to a broad series of works and thought which says, when we get moderate Muslim voices coming from the mosques that speak out against these atrocities that we see in ISIS and others, that will help us with recruiting,” General Philip Breedlove told reporters at a Pentagon briefing.

Until then, it will be fundamentalist or what Westerner’s call radical voices continuing to come from the mosques.

Military leadership under Caliph and Chief Obama would never suggest radical voices were coming from mosques so this would seem to be an inadvertent admission of what we already know during another act of dhimmitude from military leadership.

An unsettling video has emerged purporting to show Islamic State fighters bartering over Yazidi women at a slave girl ‘market’.

The terror organisation recently boasted of enslaving women from the Iraqi ethnic minority, and the men appearing in the clip explain it is ‘slave market day’.

The clip shows the men negotiating the price of the women, with blue and green-eyed young girls fetching a higher price.

It starts with one man saying to the camera: ‘Today is the slave market day. Today is the day where this verse applies: ‘Except with their wives and the (captives) whom their right hands possess, – for (then) they are not too be blamed’.

He added: ‘Today is distribution day God willing. Each one takes his share.’

THE FOUNDATION

“Let each citizen remember at the moment he is offering his vote that he is not making a present or a compliment to please an individual – or at least that he ought not so to do; but that he is executing one of the most solemn trusts in human society for which he is accountable to God and his country.” –Samuel Adams, in the Boston Gazette, 1781

TOP 5 RIGHT HOOKS

What to Watch For on Election Day

It’s Election Day, and Republicans are optimistic – with good reason. Time will tell, of course, but things are looking up for the GOP’s prospects of taking the U.S. Senate. Republicans need six seats to take a 51-seat majority in the chamber, and nine are within reach. Arkansas, Colorado, Louisiana, Montana, South Dakota and West Virginia are likely GOP pickups, while Alaska and Iowa look very possible. North Carolina is less likely, though Democrat Sen. Kay Hagin should by all rights be sent packing. Kansas, Kentucky and Georgia are currently Republican-held seats that are tighter races than they should be, but we expect the GOP to hold at least two out of those three. Republicans could also gain seats in the House. Meanwhile, three governors' races bear close watching – Kansas, where Sam Brownback’s fiscal conservatism has angered the GOP’s establishment, leaving him vulnerable; Florida, where Republican-turned-Democrat Charlie Crist is trying to regain his old post against Rick Scott; and Wisconsin, where Scott Walker is running for the third time in four years, thanks to a recall in 2012. No matter where you are, remember the words of Samuel Adams: “Let each citizen remember at the moment he is offering his vote that he is … executing one of the most solemn trusts in human society for which he is accountable to God and his country.”

This Election Day is the first major election since Shelby County v. Holder, a Supreme Courtdecision finding that some provisions in the Voting Rights Act of 1965 were no longer applicable. It gave states more control of their own voting laws – and the feds are fighting back. Attorney General Eric Holder announced he sent poll monitors to 18 states. This move comes on the heels of Holder’s infamous suits against Texas and North Carolina, challenging the constitutionality of voter ID laws in those states. Last year, even Obama played a part in the federal government’s attempt to regain power when he created the Presidential Commission on Election Administration. “One of the Justice Department’s most sacred responsibilities is ensuring access to the ballot box for every eligible American,” Holder said in a video message. “Over the last six years, my colleagues and I have taken robust action to safeguard this fundamental right, challenging unnecessarily restrictive proposals like certain voter ID laws.” While pursuing so-called equality, Holder forgets the justice of preserving the integrity of the votes already cast by preventing actual fraud. More…

They Know When You Aren’t Voting

New York Democrats took a page from Santa Claus' manual with a get-out-the-vote letter to some one million registered Democrats. “Who you vote for is your secret,” the letter says, adding ominously, “But whether or not you vote is public record.” Furthermore, the letter scolds, “Many organizations monitor turnout in your neighborhood and are disappointed by the inconsistent voting of many of your neighbors.” In fact, they’re so disappointed by naughty non-voters, they “will be reviewing the … official voting records after the upcoming election to determine whether you joined your neighbors who voted in 2014. If you do not vote this year, [they] will be interested to hear why not.” Not only can you expect a knock from Big Brother Democrat, you can expect a lump of coal in your stocking.

Clyburn Claims to Read Republicans' Racist Minds

“I don’t care what [Obama] does, he is not going to be acceptable because of his skin color.” That’s what Rep. James Clyburn (D-SC) wants blacks to believe Republicans are thinking. Clyburn made the supposedly mind-reading comments by way of defending embattled Sen. Mary Landrieu (D-LA), who said, “The South has not always been the friendliest place for African-Americans.” Democrats are clearly desperate to be deploying so many race-baiting attacks in the days leading up to the midterm elections. It’s craven demagoguery at its worst.

This Election Brings More Diversity for Republicans

In addition to a possible GOP takeover of Congress, this election could bring more diversity to the Republican Party – something that will help the party retain its gains. The Los Angeles Timesreports, “Republicans in the House will probably add their first African American representative in recent years, if front-runner Mia Love picks up the south Salt Lake City-area open seat. Another black Republican, former CIA undercover officer Will Hurd, is in a tight race with a Democratic incumbent in west Texas. In addition, House Republicans could see two openly gay congressmen in a conference that currently has none. Republicans Richard Tisei in Massachusetts and Carl DeMaio in San Diego are both in tough races against Democrats.” Furthermore, Elise Stefanik is expected to become the youngest woman ever elected to the House. She’s 30 years old and, oh yeah, a Republican. Who says the Democrat Party is the only party for women, homosexuals, blacks and the young?

Cancel Midterms? Not if James Madison Has Anything to Say

2014-10-31-19df217a.jpg

Election Day 2014 is finally upon us, and with it comes the opportunity for citizens to make their voices heard at the polls. While the midterm election doesn’t receive quite the hype and fanfare from the Leftmedia a presidential election does, it is nevertheless important to our constitutional form of governance and necessary for the preservation of Liberty.

Midterm elections have historically been a referendum on the president and his party. It appears this year’s midterm election will continue that trend – complete with backlash against six long years of an imperial presidency and eight years of Democrat control of the Senate. Many Americans are simply fed up with the abuse of power in Washington, and they hope for change.

Yet there are some in America who are disturbed that the outcome of the midterm election may halt or slow down Barack Obama’s agenda of fundamentally transforming (destroying) America. Take for example the recent opinion of Duke University public policy professor David Schanzer and Jay Sullivan, a junior at Duke, who propose canceling the midterm elections. That’s right – they want to eliminate midterms entirely. And their argument is essentially that a president needs to be able to carry on with his agenda. (Where was this article in 2006?)

The anti-democratic duo claim that “when Americans' confidence in the ability of their government to address pressing concerns is at a record low, two year House terms no longer make any sense.” They suggest modern technologies like Twitter and 24-hour news (propaganda) service enable Americans to better communicate with their elected officials than the framers of the Constitution could have imagined. Thus, in their view, “[T]he two year cycle isn’t just unnecessary; it’s harmful to American politics.”

Schanzer and Sullivan complain, “The main impact of the midterm election in the modern era has been to weaken the president.” (So what’s the problem, exactly?) They add, “[W]e spend almost two years selecting a president with a well-developed agenda, but then, less than two years after the inauguration, the midterm election cripples that same president’s ability to advance that agenda.”

The Wall Street Journal James Taranto sums up that argument: “It’s not Obama’s fault the midterms are going badly; it’s the midterms' fault his presidency is going badly.”

Schanzer and Sullivan say the Founders just couldn’t have known what today’s political climate would be like, but we argue the system they constructed couldn’t be more relevant.

James Madison had plenty to say about the importance of checks and balances in our government, and he argued for the necessity of midterm elections as well. In Federalist No. 51, Madison highlighted the need to prevent one branch from becoming too powerful. He wrote, “In republican government, the legislative authority necessarily predominates. The remedy for this inconveniency is to divide the legislature into different branches; and to render them, by different modes of election and different principles of action, as little connected with each other as the nature of their common functions and their common dependence on society will admit.”

In Federalist No. 52, Madison states the reason for biennial elections to occur: “As it is essential to liberty that the government in general should have a common interest with the people, so it is particularly essential that the branch of it under consideration should have an immediate dependence on, and an intimate sympathy with, the people. Frequent elections are unquestionably the only policy by which this dependence and sympathy can be effectually secured.”

Finally, in Federalist No. 53, Madison concluded his argument for the terms and ratio of the House of Representatives with this: “[B]iennial elections will be as useful to the affairs of the public as we have seen they will be safe to the liberty of the people.”

Madison’s wisdom is still applicable today. Midterm elections are necessary to keep the government in check, to keep the other branches from abusing the power granted them by We the People. With the legislative branch (especially the House) being closest to the people, Madison understood it has the greatest chance to oppose or carry out policies another branch of government (such as the executive) seeks to impose on the nation.

The preservation of Liberty is at the heart of Madison’s argument, and to this end we have the responsibility to vote for candidates who are qualified and most likely to abide by their oaths to “support and defend” the U.S. Constitution. Certainly there may be some political races in which there seems to be little difference between the candidates. But ask yourself this question: Which candidate is more likely to fight to preserve the Constitution and the freedoms with which we are endowed by our Creator? And which candidate will better oppose the radical agenda of this president, who is determined to fundamentally transform this nation?

New Climate Report Says Resistance Is Futile

2013-09-20-8842e917.jpg

The UN’s Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) released its latest report on the earth’s climate Sunday, and it reaffirms what climate alarmists have been yammering for years. Chicken Little has nothing on these guys.

“Continued emission of greenhouse gases will cause further warming and long-lasting changes in all components of the climate system,” the report states, “increasing the likelihood of severe, pervasive and irreversible impacts.” The report notes that governments now face the question of whether they can act to slow global warming to a pace at which humans and ecosystems can adapt, or risk “abrupt and irreversible changes” to the planet.

The report is the final piece of work in five years of assessments by thousands of scientists, and it is meant to offer a framework of data for world leaders to work with when they meet in 2015 to debate an international climate treaty. There have been a number of these five-year assessments since the 1990s, but this latest one contains the direst of predictions.

The IPCC concludes with 95% certainty that global warming is a man-made phenomenon, and the warming trend seen on land and in the oceans since the 1950s is “unequivocal.” According to IPCC research, each of the last three decades have been successively warmer, with the period from 1983 to 2012 likely being the warmest 30-year period in the Northern Hemisphere in the last 1,400 years. This would be an alarming piece of news except for the fact that the report admits this 1,400-year assessment is merely theoretical.

There have been previous theories about the sources and dangers of global warming. Rational scientists – the ones conveniently labeled “deniers” by ecofascists – have frequently questioned the methods by which the IPCC and its associated scientists collect their data. There was the famous “hockey stick” debate of 2003, when statisticians proved that the data behind the theory of steeply rising global temperatures was fundamentally flawed. And let’s not forget Climategate, the 2009 scandal in which the University of East Anglia’s Climate Research Unit was caught fudging its climate data in an effort to prove the dire consequences of man-made global warming.

The IPCC remains undeterred in its mission, and inconvenient truths won’t get in its way. For instance, 18 years in which we have seen no warming accompanied by yet another record extent in Antarctic sea ice is considered temporary and due to “natural variability.” The IPCC report calls this trend merely a pause: “Trends based on short records are very sensitive to the beginning and end dates and do not in general reflect long-term climate trends.”

So an 18-year block within the time period from 1950 to 2014 is a short record without scientific meaning, but the IPCC bases its “settled science” on a 64-year block (1950-2014) within a 1,400-year period – that is admittedly theoretical – and we’re just supposed to accept that as fact.

The IPCC points out that it does not have the power to make policy, but it’s surely going to do everything it can to help shape whatever policy governments will make when they gather in Paris next year. The report claims a global temperature rise greater than 2°C would be catastrophic. If that threshold is crossed, the damage caused by global warming would be irreversible – even if all fossil-fuel use were to end tomorrow. By the way, that 2°C threshold was developed in 2009 and is relative to the 1861-1880 baseline for global temperature. There seems to be no explanation why this statistically short record is now gospel as opposed to any other 20-year span prior to the mass production of the automobile.

In any event, if this seemingly arbitrary 2°C threshold is to be maintained, carbon emissions need to be brought to near zero by 2100. “It’s not too late,” says Gary Yohe, a professor from Wesleyan University who contributed to the report. “But the longer you wait, the more expensive it gets.” It’s never too late for these folks.

Just how expensive will it be? The report is evasive: “These impact estimates are incomplete and depend on a large number of assumptions, many of which are disputable. … As a result, mitigation cost and climate damage estimates at any given temperature level cannot be compared to evaluate the costs and benefits of mitigation.” That’s a convenient way to avoid the hot seat for something that would drastically reduce global GDP over the next 85 years.

Ronald Bailey of Reason Magazine boils it down: “One way to think of this is that people today making an average global per capita income of just under $10,000 per year are being asked to sacrifice economic growth and development for people whose incomes will likely be over $61,000 per year in 2100.”

While the IPCC admits there are disputable elements and that it cannot determine just what the economic impact of its proposals would be, it argues we should unquestioningly accept its final conclusion.

The IPCC and its climate alarmist cohorts are asking the world to put the brakes on economic development based on information that is still very much up for debate. But never mind that, they say, the “Science™ is settled.”

OPINION IN BRIEF

President Harry S. Truman (1884-1972): “It’s not the hand that signs the laws that holds the destiny of America. It’s the hand that casts the ballot.”

Columnist Cal Thomas: “[W]hy do more than 90 percent [of blacks] remain loyal to a political party that has robbed them of hope? The answer must be in the voices they listen to, including the voices of teachers in failing public schools that Democrats won’t let them escape from, students in those schools who bad-mouth successful students for ‘acting white,’ preachers who preach of a political salvation that never seems to arrive, instead of genuine salvation that can transform a life by changing the way one thinks, and politicians who pretend to be the friends of African-Americans on Election Day, only to abandon them the very next day. When the last votes are counted in this election, many African-Americans who vote for Democrats will likely not find their lives improved by the crafty politicians who used racial scare tactics to court them and get them to the polls. On Nov. 5, the race deck will still be stacked against them. Maybe they should try the other party just to shake things up.”

Columnist Mona Charen: “Speaking to a Rhode Island College group last week, the president uttered a gaffe that opened a window to his stale, doctrinaire thinking. He was decrying the lack of ‘affordable, quality childcare’ in America. ‘Too often,’ he said, ‘parents have no choice but to put their kids in cheaper daycare that maybe doesn’t have the kinds of programming that makes a big difference in a child’s development … or the best programs may be too far away. And sometimes, someone, usually mom, leaves the workplace to stay home with the kids, which then leaves her earning a lower wage for the rest of her life as a result. And that’s not a choice we want Americans to make.’ … It’s odd, isn’t it, that the left, always hostile to business and money, elevates marketplace participation above family life so consistently? Nancy Pelosi thinks Obamacare is wonderful because it will supposedly free people from work so that they can be artists, but God forbid that women voluntarily take time off to nurture children. … Barack Obama – every idea he has is wrong.”

Humorist Frank J. Fleming: “Ordering a roll of ‘I Voted’ stickers so later I can pretend to have voted in elections you were just too uninformed to know about. The whole ‘I Voted’ sticker thing does seem like a Democrat ploy. ‘Know how we can get more dummies to the polls? Hand out free stickers.’”

Holder to monitor voting for racial prejudice

Disgraced, embattled, and resigned Attorney General Eric Holder says he is sending federal monitors to some 18 states and 28 jurisdictions to make sure there is no race-based discrimination. He said, "

I want the American people to know that the Justice Department will stand vigilant--working in a fair and nonpartisan manner to ensure that every voter can cast his or her ballot free of intimidation, discrimination or obstruction." Holder is laughable. He has already shown the American people his vigilance by letting the New Black Panthers use baseball bats to protect voting locations against white people and by allowing precincts to record more than 100% of the registered voters in Democratic-leaning areas.

Holder is encouraging Americans to call his minions if they see something amiss. In a statement to the public, the DOJ said that

Civil Rights Division staff members "will be available by telephone to receive complaints from citizens in all states and jurisdictions nationwide related to possible violations of the federal voting rights laws (toll free 1-800-253-3931 or 202-307-2767) or TTY (202-305-0082).  In addition, individuals may also report such complaints by fax to 202-307-3961, by email to voting.section@usdoj.govEmail links icon and by a complaint form on the department's website:www.justice.gov/crt/about/vot/." Not to be cynical, but I'm sure complaints will be frustrated by red-tape and stonewalling.

"Allegations of election fraud are handled by the 94 US Attorneys' Offices across the country, the Federal Bureau of Investigation and the Criminal Division's Public Integrity Section.  Complaints related to election fraud may be directed to your local US Attorneys' Offices or local FBI offices, which consult with the Public Integrity Section in Washington, DC.  A list of US Attorneys' Offices and their telephone numbers can be found at

http://www.justice.gov/usao/districts/.  A list of FBI offices and accompanying telephone numbers can be found atwww.fbi.gov/contact-us." So for once I agree with the Federal government's mantra, "If you see something, say something."

Nearly every poll and every major news outlet has stated that the Democrats will lose control of the Senate and suffer possible record losses in the House of Representatives. While polling these days can be off a little, it is expected to be a rout of liberal--no communist--policies in the form of throwing these evildoers out in droves. Election fraud is the only way to prevent this from happening. We have a lot of verses in the Bible about wisdom, circumspect and deceit. Jesus told us in Matthew 24:4, "Take heed that no man deceives you." Holder is sending his henchmen out to "monitor" elections. He and his hoard are a tricky bunch. Let's exercise our right to vote and be our own monitors of the polls.

BEWARE A WOUNDED OBAMA

VOTE TODAY AGAINST OBAMA AND HIS DEMOCRAT'S FILED AGENDA! SAVE AMERICA TODAY!

No matter what the exact outcome of Tuesday’s elections, there is little doubt that President Obama will come out of it wounded.

Whether or not Republicans take over the Senate, they will certainly gain seats. Even if Democrats manage to eke out a victory that maintains narrow control of the chamber, it will only be because their candidates in close races did everything they could to distance themselves from Obama.

Either way, Obama will be a lame duck president. Voters will have rebuked him and his policies. He won’t have the ability to pass major legislation, and the focus of the political world will quickly turn to candidates vying to replace him.

But being a lame duck president isn’t the same as being without power. On issues including healthcare, environmental policy, immigration, and national security, Obama has already displayed a willingness to bypass Congress to pursue his goals.

If there were anything holding him back up to this point, it was either that he was facing re-election or he was somewhat hesitant to weaken Democratic chances in an election year that would determine the composition of Congress during his last two years in office.

Democratic New Hampshire Sen. Jeanne Shaheen was principally involved in a plot with Lois Lerner and President Barack Obama’s political appointee at the IRS to lead a program of harassment against conservative nonprofit groups during the 2012 election, according to letters exclusively obtained by The Daily Caller.

The Internal Revenue Service (IRS) did not want to publicly release 2012 correspondences exchanged between the IRS and Jeanne Shaheen at her personal Washington office: the agency delayed releasing the information to a major conservative super PAC multiple times, even threatening to see the super PAC in court, according to emails.

“The IRS is aware of the current public interest in this issue,” IRS chief counsel William J. Wilkins, a White House visitor described by insiders as “The President’s Man at the IRS,” personally wrote in a hand-stamped memo to “Senator Shaheen” on official Department of the Treasury letterhead on April 25, 2012.

The memo, obtained by TheDC, briefed the Democratic senator about a coordinated IRS-Treasury Department plot to target political activity by nonprofit 501(c)(4) groups. The plot was operating out of Lois Lerner’s Tax Exempt Government Entities Division.

A record number of rogue Christian pastors are endorsing candidates from the pulpit this election cycle, using Sunday sermons to defiantly flout tax rules.

Their message to the IRS: Sue me.

But the tax agency is doing anything but. Although the IRS was sued itself for not enforcing the law and admitted about 100 churches may be breaking the rules, the pastors and their critics alike say the agency is looking the other way. The agency refuses to say if it is acting.

At the same time, the number of pastors endorsing candidates in what they call Pulpit Freedom Sunday jumped from 33 people in 2008 to more than 1,600 this year, according to organizers, Alliance Defending Freedom. And this year, they’ve stepped up their drive, telling pastors to back candidates any Sunday up until the election, not just one Sunday as in past years.

The church leaders are jumping in high-profile races that will help decide the Senate and tight governor races across the country, endorsing candidates from Thom Tillis (R) over Sen. Kay Hagan (D) in North Carolina to Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell (R) over Alison Lundergan Grimes (D) in Kentucky.

According to a new study conducted by Bankrate.com, a majority of Americans who used the Obamacare healthcare exchanges last year through Healthcare.gov don’t plan on doing so again this year when open enrollment begins on November 15.

“Those who experienced the rocky rollout of the Obamacare health exchanges firsthand are feeling nervous about prices and wary of technical glitches on the eve of the second open enrollment period, according to the latest Bankrate Health Insurance Pulse survey. All of the survey respondents were from households that used the exchanges during the initial open enrollment last fall and winter,” Bankrate.com states about the study. . .

VOTER FRAUD AND VOTER I.D.

Share

One of the biggest voter frauds may be the idea promoted by Attorney General Eric Holder and others that there is no voter fraud, that laws requiring voters to have a photo identification are just attempts to suppress black voting.

Reporter John Fund has written three books on voter fraud and a recent survey by Old Dominion University indicates that there are more than a million registered voters who are not citizens, and who therefore are not legally entitled to vote.

The most devastating account of voter fraud may be in the book “Injustice” by J. Christian Adams. He was a Justice Department attorney, who detailed with inside knowledge the voter frauds known to the Justice Department, and ignored by Attorney General Holder and Company.

One of these frauds involved sending out absentee ballots to people who had never asked for them. Then a political operator would show up — uninvited — the day the ballots arrived and “help” the voter to fill them out. Sometimes the intruders simply took the ballots, filled them out and forged the signatures of the voters.

Did you know that Barack Hussein Obama is forcing U.S. troops to handle the dead bodies of Ebola victims?

ebola-600x350

Did you also know that Ebola is a lot more contagious on dead bodies than on living ones? A Department of Defense memo confirms that DoD personnel – which include  troops and civilians will have direct contact with “exposed remains” of Ebola victims.

Washington Post  There is a second group of people especially at risk for infection: those who treat and bury the bodies of the dead, which are even more contagious than living Ebola patients. combination of inadequate infrastructure, logistical issues, conflicts with Western health care workers and burial traditions has contributed to widespread difficulties in containing the spread of the disease among mourners and those caring for the dead.

hqdefault

Among the traditional practices the WHO says cannot be followed with Ebola victims: family-led body preparation and religious rituals that require direct contact with the corpse. Muslim tradition, for instance, requires that family members of the same gender should wash the body themselves before burial.

There are religiously driven Islamic rules about who can handle a dead body, and how. But those rules are often in direct conflict with the procedures health officials must follow to minimize the risk that the disease will spread, becauseafter death is a particularly dangerous time for Ebola infection. “When the person has just died, that is when the body is most contagious,” WHO spokesperson Tarik Jasarevic told The Post on Thursday. “It’s when the virus is overtaking the whole body.”

WND  While the DoD has issued new guidance on how military personnel and civilians will undergo pre- and post-deployment training while in the Ebola-affected areas of West Africa, buried in the 19-page memorandum in an attachment is an indication that the personnel will have direct exposure to the affected population.

The statement is in a memorandum from Jessica L. Write, undersecretary of defense for personnel and readiness. Broken down into three levels, Level II training will be for personnel who “interact with the local populace,” and Level III training for personnel “assigned to supporting medical units or expected to handle exposed remains.”

ebola-danger5

If military members must complete the training, it appears to be contrary to previous statements from DoD that the 4,000 deployed U.S. troops will not be exposed to Ebola patients but will undertake only a “supportive role.”

For such exposure, there is a more intense level of training for U.S. military and civilian personnel than the minimally required training for all deployed service members.

Civilian personnel returning from the Ebola-affected areas won’t be required to undergo the 21-day mandatory quarantine described as “controlled monitoring for military members.” Instead, civilian personnel will have the option either of undergoing the 21-day required “controlled monitoring regimen” for military personnel or undergo an “active monitoring” regimen while being allowed to go about their daily business. Monitoring will include checking the individual’s temperature.

At a news conference, Pentagon spokesman Rear Adm. John Kirby said civilians cannot be forced to undergo the post-deployment “controlled monitoring regimen.” “Because they’re civilian employees and not uniformed service members, we legally can’t force them to undergo a controlled monitoring regimen the way we can with uniformed troops,” Kirby said.

WND recently reported that the estimated 4,000 U.S. troops being deployed in response to the Ebola crisis would undertake a “supportive” role to the Center for Disease Control and the U.S. Public Health Service in a mission officially dubbed Operation United Assistance. In that capacity, the troops would construct a command center and treatment and training centers along with housing for U.S. military and civilian personnel.

Residents look on as the body of a man suspected of dying from Ebola lies in a busy street, after it was reportedly dragged there to draw attention to burial teams following days of failed attempts by his family to have his body picked up, in Monrovia, Li

In exclusive interviews recently with WND, retired U.S. Army Lt. Gen. William “Jerry” Boykin and retired U.S. Army Maj. Gen. Paul E. Vallely condemned Obama’s decision to deploy troops to West Africa, arguing they could bring the virus to the United States or to other units. The generals said the mission of U.S. troops is to fight wars, not disease.

“There are plenty of other assets that America has if it wants to go over there and build hospitals and clearing centers and things like that,” Vallely said. “So, I think it is a very bad misuse especially when [U.S. troops] now are being asked to step up to the plate again in Iraq. So, I think it is a very bad decision on Obama’s part.”
