WISCONSIN ‘dhimmi’ politician apologizes for telling the truth about Muslim Student Association

A Green Bay alderman has apologized to a Muslim woman for responding to her inquiry about public bus service with questions about her political beliefs and whether she condemns Islamic terrorism because of her affiliation with a Muslim Brotherhood front group, the Muslim Student Association.

MSA (Muslim Student Association) i part of the radical Muslim Brotherhood Network in North America

MSA (Muslim Student Association) is part of the Islamic terrorism-promoting political group, Muslim  Brotherhood Network of North America

Green Bay Press Gazette  Alderman Chris Wery directed his questions to Heba Mohammad after the recent University of Wisconsin-Green Bay graduate asked the alderman in an email why city bus service is not free on Election Day. Wery agreed to check into the bus service question, but then he asked Mohammad about her involvement in starting a Muslim Student Association group at UW-Green Bay.

msa

The MSA is a fifty-year-old Muslim Brotherhood affiliate with chapters on many hundreds of college campuses (check out this report on the MSA from Steven Emerson’s Investigative Project on Terrorism). The Brotherhood, as I’m sure all FrontPage Mag readers know, is devoted to the elimination of Western civilization. They don’t officially exist in the United States, but of course they have operated here for many decades in the guise of powerful, well-funded legacy groups, the most prominent of which were intimately involved in the MSA.  READ MORE

“I just want to be assured that your group in no way promotes or defends militant Islamic ideology,” Wery wrote, asking if Mohammad and the association condemn “terrorist groups such as Hamas.” (But they do)

In an interview, Wery said he attended UWGB and he recognized Mohammad’s name as founder of the Muslim Student Association from a campus publication that he receives. He said Muslim college groups elsewhere in the United States have espoused anti-American sentiments, and he added that he took the opportunity to ask Mohammad about the UW-Green Bay group.

Mohammad refused to answer Wery’s questions and then posted the exchange on Facebook, prompting many users of the social media site to accuse the alderman of bigotry and profiling.

Mohammad, 22, who graduated from UW-Green Bay earlier this year, said she was surprised to hear an elected official engage in what she considered profiling based on her religious background. She believes he developed an “instant suspicion” because of her name. “That’s kind of hurtful, to be honest,” she told Press-Gazette Media.

Wery, a veteran City Council member who once ran for mayor, said he recognized that his remarks were inappropriate and poorly timed. He said he should not have raised his questions while helping a resident get information about public bus service. “I phrased it wrong. It was the wrong setting,” he told Press-Gazette Media. “And I apologized for that.” (BIG mistake)

Most Germans now consider the spread of Islamization as the greatest threat to Germany

imagesIn December of 2013, two new studies, one funded by the German government, found that the majority of Muslims believe that Islamic Sharia law should take precedence over the secular constitutions and laws of their European host countries.

What follows are some of the most important stories about the rise of Islam in Germany during 2013:

Young German patriots have joined the French ‘Generation Identity’ movement against Islamization and Multiculturalism

Gatestone Institute  In January, the Turkish-run Kuba Camii Mosque in Eschweiler, a city situated along the German-Belgian-Dutch border and about 50 kilometers (30 miles) west of Cologne, for the first time began publicly calling Muslims to prayer. The Turkish imam of the Kuba Camii Mosque, Bahri Ciftci, declared his hopes that “the public prayer call will be a symbol of a tolerant, intercultural and interreligious common coexistence.”

The mosque is one of a growing number of Islamic institutions in Germany publicly calling the Muslim faithful to prayer—five times a day, seven days a week—with cries of Allahu Akbar! The eardrum-shattering prayer calls can be heard from great distances when amplified through electric loudspeakers. Critics say some German towns and cities are beginning to evoke the sounds and images of the Islamic Middle East.

On January 14, the City-State of Bremen signed a so-called state treaty with city’s 40,000-strong Muslim community. The agreement guarantees the protection of Muslim community properties, the approval of the construction of mosques with minarets and domes, the allotment of land for Muslim cemeteries, the supplying of halal food at prisons and hospitals, the recognition of three Muslim holidays, Muslim representation in state institutions and several other rights and privileges. Critics say the agreements do little to encourage Muslim integration into German society and instead will boost the growing influence of Islam in the country by encouraging the perpetuation of a Muslim parallel society.

Also in January, a court in Berlin convicted two Islamists of being members of al-Qaeda and sentenced them to a combined 15 years in prison.  At the time of their arrest, police uncovered a treasure trove of intelligence, including more than 100 al-Qaeda planning documents that described some of the terror group’s most audacious plots and a road map for future operations. Future plots include the seizing of cruise ships and carrying out other large-scale terrorist attacks in Europe.

Citing a classified government report, the daily Bild said on January 29 that more than 100 German Islamists are believed to have received paramilitary training at terrorist training camps abroad, and that half of that group had already returned to Germany. The classified report said the militants included many German converts to radical Islam who have received training from al-Qaeda on how to plan attacks as “autonomous cells” in Germany.

From Berlin to Dortmund to Mönchengladbach, the proliferation of mosques housed in former churches reflects the rise of Islam as the fastest growing religion in post-Christian Germany. A German-born Islamic jihadist calling himself Abu Azzam the German” threatened to attack Berlin and kill German Chancellor Angela Merkel. “We want to see Obama and Merkel dead!” he sings. “Our troops are already there [in Germany], what joy. You’ll bleed, your heads will roll! … Oh Allah, give the German people what they deserve!”

Meanwhile, Turkish Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan told German Interior Minister Hans-Peter Friedrich that Berlin was guilty of “a human rights violation” for insisting that Turkish immigrants who want to live in Germany must integrate and learn the German language.

In March, Germany banned three Salafist Muslim groups the Interior Ministry said wanted to overturn democracy and install a system based on Islamic Sharia law.

Democrats' Last Campaign Play Includes Race Baiting

If you’re a Democrat, behind in the polls and desperate for a Hail Mary to get constituents to the voting booth, make a chop block at the line of scrimmage. Bring up slavery, bait races and divide Americans. Rep. Charlie Rangel (D-NY) made this play, implying a vote for the Republican Party is a vote for the KKK. “Everything we believe in – everything we believe in – they hate,” theincumbent Democrat insisted. “They don’t disagree – they hate! … Some of them believe that slavery isn’t over and they think they won the Civil War!” Louisiana’s Mary Landrieu added, “I’ll be very, very honest with you. The South has not always been the friendliest place for African-Americans.” In Georgia, Maryland and North Carolina, flyers have been distributed warning of a resurgence of Jim Crow laws and a repeat of the violence in Ferguson. It’s all an effort to inflame black voters, to get them to the polls in hopes of turning the tide of a GOP takeover of Congress. Hagel Warns Again About Climate Change

Earlier this month, the Pentagon announced its plan to fight climate change. On Wednesday, Secretary of Defense Chuck Hagel reiterated the significance of the threat. “From my perspective, within the portfolio that I have responsibility for – security of this country – climate change presents security issues for us,” he said. How so? “As the oceans increase, it’ll affect our [military] bases, it’ll affect islands, it’ll affect security across the world,” Hagel explained. “So, just from my narrow perspective, what I have responsibility for, that’s happening now, and we have to be prepared for that.” Furthermore, he concluded, “Bottom line is, with all the crises of the moment – and that’s part of my job, to manage the immediate crises – we also cannot lose sight of the strategic, longer-term challenges that face our country either, and this [climate change] is one that we’ve got to be smart in how we handle it. … [T]he military, the Pentagon, has maybe – at least perceived by many people – a more serious look at the world.” More serious? Comparing Apple’s Tim Cook and Chick-fil-A’s S. Truett Cathy

Apple CEO Tim Cook publicly discussed his homosexuality in a column that appeared in Bloomberg BusinessWeek. He wrote, “The company I am so fortunate to lead has … taken a strong stand in support of a workplace equality bill before Congress, just as we stood for marriage equality in our home state of California.” That brings up an interesting juxtaposition. The Weekly Standard’s Jim Swift observes: “While he ‘doesn’t consider himself an activist,’ Cook has personally lobbied on gay rights issues in his home state of Alabama and at the United Nations. All of this sounds familiar – haven’t we heard this story before? A southern-born CEO invoking religion regarding his views on homosexuality, lobbying for what he believes in, and using his company to financially and publicly support those views? Indeed, we have a heard a story like this before. Before Tim Cook, this perfectly described another CEO and son of the south: S. Truett Cathy, the founder and former head of Chick-fil-A.” Contrary to its mantra, the Gay Mafia’s idea of tolerance is anything but a two-way street. More…

RIGHT ANALYSIS

Are GDP Numbers a Trick or a Treat?

2014-10-31-f9fab79f.jpgI got a rock

The Commerce Department’s Bureau of Economic Analysis (BEA) released its third-quarter report, claiming Gross Domestic Product (GDP) grew by an annual rate of 3.5%. The report goes on to list a number of indicators leading to the conclusion that the economy, though still unspectacular, is on the upswing. With Election Day right around the corner, that’s good news, right? Maybe it’s a little too good.

Barack Obama has been claiming for years that we’re on the right track thanks to his spending spree, yet many businesses and families still feel they are in the midst of a stagnant economy. So let’s take a closer look at the report to see just what the BEA had to say about our “growing” economy.

Third-quarter GDP is down from the second quarter’s 4.6%, but still far better than the first quarter’s 2.1% contraction. This third-quarter performance is also better than early estimates, which predicted growth just under 3%. The months between April and September featured the strongest six-month growth since the second half of 2003.

The BEA reports consumer spending rose moderately at a 1.8% annualized rate. Business investment on equipment was up 7.2%, and exports grew by 7.8%, while imports were down 1.7%. This contributed to a rise in the sale of durable goods among consumers not seen since 2006. Inflation measured by the Consumer Price Index rose just 1.2% – down from last quarter’s 2.3% due to overall falling energy prices.

How fortunate for Barack Obama and Democrats in power that this positive economic report comes out just days before the midterms. It brings back memories of the days leading up to the 2012 presidential election, when Obama spun a slight uptick in the unemployment rate to suggest that the country was still better off than it would have been without his failed stimulus and his punishing interventionist policies. “The private sector is doing just fine,” he said that summer.

This year, Democrats are set to lose in a big way, and this well-timed BEA report could be viewed not as a positive report on the economy, but an attempt to mitigate Democrat losses at the polls. Yes, third-quarter GDP results were better than anticipated (amazing how expectations are always off), and yes, many of the major indicators look good. That’s how the compliant national media will report it, too. The trouble is that a closer look at the report doesn’t inspire confidence.

In a keen analysis of the numbers, James Pethokoukis of the American Enterprise Instituteargues the GDP report is nothing more than “lipstick on a pig.” Pethokoukis notes that, since the last two quarters are really little more than a rebound of the first quarter, the year’s overall growth has not been impressive.

One of the biggest boosters to third-quarter GDP was a 16% surge in defense spending due toOperation Inherent Resolve. As for the high export numbers, we have reduced economic performance in China and Europe to thank for that, along with a strengthening dollar driven by concern over European debt and global security matters. These factors, though beneficial to the American economy right now, will lead to a slowdown in the future as world economies adjust and react to a bleaker world economy.

It’s also worth noting that every major indicator mentioned positively in the third-quarter report – from consumer spending to housing to the sale of durable goods and beyond – is down compared to the second quarter. And just wait until this report is quietly revised down sometime after the midterms.

Taking all this into account, it’s clear the economy is still not strong. Furthermore, there are no realistic appraisals that it will improve under current conditions. Chief among those conditions are the business-killing, government-loving policies of the Obama administration and congressional Democrats. Voting out Democrats in Congress is not a guarantee the economy will improve, however, because we’ll still have Obama for two more years, and Republicans haven’t exactly paved the way to economic salvation. But it’s a start.

‘Shut Up,’ Holder Explained, as Ferguson Case Nears Conclusion

2014-10-31-f6a2dc7a.jpg

It’s been nearly three months since the untimely death of “gentle giant” Michael Brown on a street in Ferguson, Missouri. We recently learned from one of the multiple autopsies performed that, shortly after Brown stole goods from a convenience store and assaulted a clerk, he was shot at least once at close range in an apparent struggle for Officer Darren Wilson’s gun. He then ran away before coming back toward Wilson. It’s believed, based on autopsy and eyewitness reports, that Wilson shot a charging Brown several more times, with one head shot being the fatal wound.

But this autopsy report is only one of the items leaked from grand jury testimony in the case. The hacker group Anonymous predicts, “On or about November 10, 2014 the Grand Jury decision will be announced. Darren Wilson will NOT be indicted on ANY charges related to the murder of Mike Brown. All local police Chiefs and jail commanders have been notified to begin preparing for major civil unrest.” This nugget of information reportedly came from two separate, unrelated sources.

The leak may be designed to motivate black voters ahead of Election Day (though that maybackfire). Police, on the other hand, probably hoped to delay a verdict until colder weather set in – cold means fewer protests and riots.

The constant grind of this rumor mill is wearing on Attorney General Eric Holder, who injected himself into the situation early on to stir the racial pot. Recall his 2009 declaration that America is “essentially a nation of cowards” because “average Americans simply do not talk enough with each other about race.” The problem is that only certain types of “average Americans” are allowed to lead those “conversations,” and the conversations themselves must arrive at only one conclusion: The myriad problems plaguing the black community are ultimately attributable to white privilege and racism.

Now, we wonder if Holder is working behind the scenes to shake up the Ferguson Police Department. One outcome of this intervention could be the dissolution of the Ferguson PD, folding it into the St. Louis County police department. That scenario, which some reports say has both Wilson and embattled Ferguson Police Chief Thomas Jackson resigning, is described as “the first step in a major shakeup.”

In an MSNBC interview, Holder was adamant about the situation. “I said I’m exasperated – it’s a nice way of saying I’m mad,” Holder vented. “That’s just not how things should be done with people in law enforcement. Whoever the sources of the leaks are need to shut up.”

Shut up, he explained. That does pretty well sum up the Left’s position on race.

Yet Barack Obama’s decision to get federal officials involved in the Ferguson matter has made it more of a three-ring circus – one that keeps fanning the flames of violence. (It may be helpful to compare the behavior of the hooligans who swarmed to Ferguson after the Michael Brown shooting to that of the hundreds who gathered at Cliven Bundy’s ranch in Nevada earlier this year to take part in a peaceful standoff with federal officials.) The Ferguson situation could have been handled by local and state authorities, just as the scattered protests in the wake of George Zimmerman’s not-guilty verdict from the Trayvon Martin case were, but Barack Obama and his allies were thinking about the midterm elections and the need to save a Democrat Senate – so all hands were called on deck.

Even if a grand jury clears Wilson, his career as a Ferguson police officer may well be over. But his legal troubles won’t be – odds are the “wrong” verdict from a local grand jury will only result in more rioting and prompt the Holder Justice Department to charge Wilson with violating Brown’s civil rights. We’ve seen this movie before. In the original, the star was Rodney King. It’s a remake we weren’t supposed to see in the “post-racial America” promised by Obama’s election.

OPINION IN BRIEF

French historian Alexis de Tocqueville (1805-1859): “The electors see their representative not only as a legislator for the state but also as the natural protector of local interests in the legislature; indeed, they almost seem to think that he has a power of attorney to represent each constituent, and they trust him to be as eager in their private interests as in those of the country.”

Columnist David Harsanyi: “[I]t’s worth noting that the person repeatedly being called ‘chickens–t’by anonymous [Obama] officials volunteered for the Israel Defense Forces, saw combat and was the leader of an elite special forces unit deployed on numerous missions – including the freeing of a hijacked Sabena flight in 1972… Granted, this may not be so courageous as hopping the Amtrak from Delaware to D.C. each day or rallying the troops at a fundraiser in Greenwich, Connecticut, but God knows we can’t all be heroes. … [W]hen the United Arab Emirates and Turkey … were justifiably called out by Vice President Joe Biden for their roles in helping to strengthen the Islamic State, Biden was quickly dispatched to ask for forgiveness from both the crown prince of Abu Dhabi and Turkish Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan. Apologize to the leader of Turkey. Call the leader of Israel a coward. That about encapsulates American foreign policy during the past few years.”

Economist Stephen Moore: “It says a lot about the state of the Democratic Party that Hillary Clinton is viewed by many as ‘too moderate.’ Many ‘progressives’ lean toward [Elizabeth] Warren’s more radical ideas – superminimum wages; tax rates of 50% or more; wealth taxes; stifling regulations on businesses and new means for people to sue businesses. There’s something retrograde about a major political party today that believes our wealth producers are wealth destroyers and that the more you bash business, profits and success, the grander your appeal to your ‘base.’ When was the last time Obama – or any leading Democrat for that matter – said anything positive about business?”

Remedy to feeling politically voiceless--vote

As election day approaches, many Daily Jot readers write that they feel their voices are ignored when it comes to the national dialogue on politics and the decline of our nation. Others say that they feel helpless because they want to see our nation turned around, but no matter what they do--letter writing, faxes, phone calls, petitions, meetings, town halls--seems to have little, if no, impact on elected officials. They believe the government has gotten so big and overreaching that it no longer represents the people, but rather its own self interest. Alexis de Tocqueville, a French philosopher and author of "Democracy in America" in two volumes (1835, and 1840), identified exactly why these readers feel the way they do.

Tocqueville wrote about the vibrance of the American system of government and how the virtue and spirit of the American people made government and freedom work. In his second volume, he astutely described, however, how "democracies" fall into a tyrannical reign through years of deception and growth of government. Tocqueville wrote of the resulting power of such a government toward its citizens: "That power is absolute, minute, regular, provident, and mild...it provides for their security, foresees and supplies their necessities, facilitates their pleasures, manages their principal concerns, directs their industry, regulates the descent of property, and subdivides their inheritances..."

"...The will of man is not shattered, but softened, bent and guided; men are seldom forced by it to act, but they are constantly restrained from acting. Such a power does not destroy, but prevents existence; it does not tyrannize, but it compresses, enervates, extinguishes, and stupefies a people, till each nation is reduced to nothing better than a flock of timid and industrious animals, of which the government is the shepherd...By this system the people shake off their state of dependence just long enough to select their master and then relapse into it again." He wrote that this is a "compromise between administrative despotism and the sovereignty of the people; and they think they have done enough for the protection of individual freedom when they have surrendered it to the power of the nation at large..."

Does this not describe today's America? The key accelerator of this brand of government is deceit. As Jesus said in Matthew 24:4, "Take heed that no man deceive you." This type of deception has been longstanding and enduring. It is not only practiced by political leaders, but also by those in the pulpit, who use vain words to preserve their own interests. This happens when leaders are not virtuous and they do not hold to the one and only truth--the Word of God. It also happens when followers are convinced they have no right to hold leaders accountable, and because of false religious teachings, they believe they must submit to wicked authority. It also happens when informed people do not vote.

[T]he UK’s Defence Science and Technology Laboratory (DSTL) tested two particular filoviruses on a variety of surfaces.

These were the Lake Victoria marburgvirus (Marv), and Zaire ebolavirus (Zebov).

Each was placed into guinea pig tissue samples and tested for their ability to survive in different liquids and on different surfaces at different temperatures, over a 50-day period.

When stored at 4° (39°F), by day 26, viruses from three of the samples were successfully extracted; Zebov on the glass sample, and Marv on both glass and plastic.

By day 50, the only sample from which the virus could be recovered was the Zebov from tissue on glass.

‘This study has demonstrated that filoviruses are able to survive and remain infectious, for extended periods when suspended within liquid and dried onto surfaces,’ explained the researchers.

‘I don’t want her within three feet of anyone’ Governor threatens to arrest Ebola nurse after she defied quarantine to go for a bike ride and order pizza

By Martin Gould and Louise Boyle.

The Governor of Maine has threatened to arrest Nurse Kaci Hickox after she broke the state’s mandatory Ebola quarantine by saying: ‘I don’t want her within three feet of anyone.’

The 33-year-old, who tested negative for the deadly disease earlier this week, defied the guidelines by going on a bike ride with partner Ted Wilbur.

Later in the day, the pair also had a pepperoni and mushroom pizza delivered to their home in Fort Kent, Maine, before settling down to watch The Avengers film.

Her actions enraged Governor Paul LePage with lawyers from the state going to court to demand the nurse give a blood test.

‘This could be resolved today. She has been exposed and she’s not cooperative, so force her to take a test. It’s so simple’ he told ABC.

Fearing Ebola? Doctors Say Get a Flu Shot

By LINDSEY TANNER.

Fever? Headache? Muscle aches? Forget about Ebola — chances are astronomically higher that you have the flu or some other common bug.

That message still hasn’t reached many Americans, judging from stories ER doctors and nurses swapped this week at a Chicago medical conference. Misinformed patients with Ebola-like symptoms can take up time and resources in busy emergency rooms, and doctors fear the problem may worsen when flu season ramps up.

That’s one reason why doctors say this year it’s especially important for patients to get their flu shots: Fewer flu cases could mean fewer Ebola false alarms.

“The whole system gets bogged down, even if it’s a false alarm,” Dr. Kristi Koenig said during a break at the American College of Emergency Physicians’ annual meeting.

Since the first Ebola diagnosis in the U.S., on Sept. 30 in a Liberian man treated in Dallas, doctors say they’ve had to reassure patients with many fears but none of the risk factors.

Can a pope change Catholic teaching on marriage?

When the synod of bishops that Pope Francis has called to discuss the family was meeting in Rome earlier this month, someone not particularly familiar with the Catholic faith might have presumed the answer was yes.

The synod, for example, released a midterm report with a section headed: “Positive aspects of civil unions and cohabitation.”

Yet the Catholic Catechism states: “The Lord Jesus insisted on the original intention of the Creator who willed that marriage be indissoluble.” The Catechism cites Chapter 10 of the Gospel of Mark as one source for this teaching.

“The Pharisees approached and asked, ‘Is it lawful for a husband to divorce his wife?’ They were testing him,” says the Gospel of Mark.

By Samuel Smith.

Since gay marriage was legalized in North Carolina on Oct. 10, at least six North Carolina judges have resigned from their benches because they do not want to go against their Christian faith and conduct wedding ceremonies for same-sex couples.

While it was reported last week that Rockingham County magistrate John Kallam Jr. and Swain County magistrate Gilbert Breedlove resigned from their positions because of the legalization of gay marriage, media reports have surfaced indicating that at least four other magistrates have done the same.

All six magistrates, Kallam, Breedlove, Bill Stevenson (Gaston County), Tommy Holland (Graham County), Gayle Myrick (Union County) and Jeff Powell (Jackson County) say they are waiting on God to give them direction in starting the next phases of their lives.

Stevenson is the latest judge to have publicized that he has stepped down from his position citing religious conflicts with the newly passed North Carolina marriage law.

Although reports surfaced only just this week that Stevenson had resigned, he issued his resignation on Oct. 16, just six days after same-sex marriage was legalized in the state.

N.C. Judge Resigns Rather Than Perform Same-sex “Marriages”

By Dave Bohon.

A longtime North Carolina judge has resigned his position rather than be forced to perform same-sex marriages against his Christian convictions. Swain County Magistrate Judge Gilbert Breedlove, in office since 1990, resigned October 20, citing the October federal court ruling that struck down North Carolina’s voter-passed constitutional amendment defining marriage as only between a man and a woman.

“It was my only option,” the 57-year-old Breedlove told the Asheville, N.C., Citizen-Times newspaper. “We were directed we had to perform the marriages, and that was just something I couldn’t do because of my religious beliefs.”

Breedlove, who became an ordained minister in 1997, said that “I was Christian when I started. Then the law didn’t require me to perform something that was against my religious belief. Now that law has changed its requirements.”

The former Marine Corps staff sergeant, whose main source of income was his position as magistrate, pointed out that “the whole Bible from front-to-end states that a marriage is between a man and a wife. Any other type of sexual activity other than that is what is defined as fornication.”

North Carolinians marching to protest voter-ID laws must present a valid photo ID to participate in an NAACP-hosted protest against voter-ID laws in Raleigh on Saturday.

The central claim among the protesters is that the voter-ID laws disenfranchise certain segments of the voting population, particularly minority voters and poor voters.

According to official NAACP flyers passed out at the rally, protesters must carry the precise kind of ID that they would be expected to present at the voting booth.

A large number of non-citizens cast ballots in U.S. elections and it’s possible that the illegal votes were responsible for President Obama’s 2008 victory, according to an in-depth academic study that confirms Judicial Watch’s assessment that foreign nationals have helped Democrats steal elections.

Non-citizens tend to favor Democrats and Obama won more than 80% of the votes of non-citizens in the 2008 sample gathered by the Cooperative Congressional Election Study (CCES), a large-scale academic survey project operated by teams of researchers from across the country. In fact, enough ineligible voters cast ballots in 2008 to conceivably account for Democratic victories in a few close elections, CCES researchers found. A respected Ivy League professor is coordinator of the CCES which has produced national sample surveys, stratified by state and type of district, in every federal election since 2006. This allows the optimal study of congressional and state races as well as an ideal setting for understanding the relationship between the congressional and presidential elections.

The CCES is an esteemed and highly respected operation that recently published shocking information, gathered from big social science survey datasets, that supports Judicial Watch’s work in this area. In 2012 JW launched the Election Integrity Project, a widespread legal campaign to clean up voter registration rolls and support election integrity measures across the country. Our investigations immediately uncovered data that proved voter rolls in a number of states—including Mississippi, Iowa, Indiana, Missouri, Texas, Florida, California and Colorado—contained the names of individuals who are ineligible to vote.

Massive Non-Citizen Voting Uncovered in Maryland

By Bryan Preston.

An election integrity watchdog group is suing the state of Maryland, alleging that it has discovered massive and ongoing fraudulent voting by non-U.S. citizens in one county. But because of the way that the non-citizens are able to cast votes in elections, the fraud is likely happening in every single county and subdivision across the state. The group believes that the illegal voting has been happening for years.

The group, Virginia Voters Alliance, says that it compared how voters in Frederick County filled out jury duty statements compared with their voting records. The group’s investigation found that thousands of people in Frederick County who stated that they are not U.S. citizens on jury duty forms went on to cast votes in elections. Either they failed to tell the truth when they were summoned for jury duty, or they cast illegal votes. Both are crimes. The same group previously found that about 40,000 people are registered to vote in both Virginia and Maryland.

It is a federal crime to cast votes if you are not legally eligible to vote. Non-citizens, whether in the country legally or not, are prohibited from voting in most local and all state and federal elections. Yet the VVA investigation found that hundreds of non-citizens have been voting in Frederick County, Maryland. One in seven Maryland residents are non-U.S. citizens.

Non-Citizens Are Voting

By John Fund.

Could non-citizen voting be a problem in next week’s elections, and perhaps even swing some very close elections?

A new study by two Old Dominion University professors, based on survey data from the Cooperative Congressional Election Study, indicated that 6.4 percent of all non-citizens voted illegally in the 2008 presidential election, and 2.2 percent in the 2010 midterms. Given that 80 percent of non-citizens lean Democratic, they cite Al Franken ’s 312-vote win in the 2008 Minnesota U.S. Senate race as one likely tipped by non-citizen voting. As a senator, Franken cast the 60th vote needed to make Obamacare law.

North Carolina features one of the closest Senate races in the country this year, between Democratic incumbent Kay Hagan and Republican Thom Tillis. So what guerrilla filmmaker James O’Keefe, the man who has uncovered voter irregularities in states ranging from Colorado to New Hampshire, has learned in North Carolina is disturbing. This month, North Carolina officials found at least 145 illegal aliens, still in the country thanks to the Obama administration’s Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals program, registered to vote. Hundreds of other non-citizens may be on the rolls.

House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi called on President Obama to issue a “bold” executive order that would stop the deportation of millions of illegal immigrants, including farm workers, families of people allowed to remain in the country under the administration’s “Dream Act” policy, and many others.

In an op-ed published by Univisión, Pelosi, along with Reps. Zoe Lofgren and Luis Gutiérrez, called on Obama to legalize immigrants who would have benefited from a comprehensive immigration reform bill the U.S. Senate passed in 2013.

The trio of lawmakers said the president should go even further by permitting close relatives of citizens and lawful permanent residents to gain entry into the United States, and blocking the deportation of relatives who are here illegally.

“Doing so would not permit family members to skip the line, but it would allow them to wait in line with their family until a visa number becomes available,” the lawmakers wrote.

With less than a week to go before the pivotal midterm elections, Democrats are eager to bolster turnout among their base of Hispanic voters.

MOTHER OF MAN KILLED BY ILLEGAL: PRES ‘IGNORING US COMPLETELY’

By BREITBART TV.

Mary Ann Mendoza, whose son, Brandon, was killed by an illegal immigrant slammed President Obama for having “no concern” for her or the families of others who have lost their loved to ones to crimes committed by illegal immigrants on Wednesday’s “Your World with Neil Cavuto” on the Fox News Channel.

“There seems to be no concern for what we’re going through and the issues that we want to bring to him [Obama]. Thousands of us are waiting for at least an acknowledgment from him that he understands the pain that we are experiencing losing a loved one at the hands of repeat illegal criminals. UPSTATE NEW YORK town angry and fearful over proposed Islamic Indoctrination Center

After two decades of serving food at Suzanne’s Fine Dining in Wheatfield, the owners have closed up shop. They said they’ve accepted an offer from the Islamic Cultural Center of Niagara Falls.

17849780_BF_Wheatfield_Islamic_Mosque_PKG-NOCG_-_000056235dec343d-4db5-4167-b455-cfe75fc00d72

Buffalo TWC News  When the building re-opens, Town Supervisor Bob Cliffe said it will be a community center and possibly a mosque as well. Cliffe recently sat down with the potential buyer, Amid Agwa, and said he believes he’ll be buying the building with his father, who formally ran the Islamic center and mosque in Niagara Falls.

“Amid wants to get into instruction,” he said. “He wants to teach young people respect, teach young people about Islam, and wants to teach them how to speak Arabic for those who wish to learn Arabic.” (All the better to train future jihadists of America)

In their discussion, Cliffe said Agwa never mentioned using the facility as a mosque. However, as long as the group is not making any major changes to the outside or inside of the building, they’re allowed to have a place of worship on commercial property without permission from the town. (These places are ALWAYS mosques whether they admit or not)

The news isn’t sitting well with some residents. “I’ve gotten a couple of hate calls already. I’ve gotten calls of deep concern,” said Cliffe. “‘Why are we inviting these people in?’ Well, we didn’t invite them in. It’s strictly a private transaction. It’s one party selling their property to another party. The town has no say in that matter.”

Dr. Philip Frusti is the principal at St. John Lutheran School, right across the street from Suzanne’s restaurant. He said people should be vigilant, but not judgmental.

NoCompulsioninReligion1-vi

“We love our neighbors and care for them,” said Frusti. “While you have a general group that seems to be peace-able, there is the group behind it that takes things literally from their belief system that we’ll do whatever it takes to move our faith forward, even in terms of extreme things, such as terrorism.”(Coming soon to your neighborhood)

“Let’s take it for what he says,” Cliffe said. “Let’s take him for his word, and keep our eyes open at the same time.”

Time Warner Cable News reached out to the Islamic group several times since last Friday, but have not heard back. The owners of Suzanne’s said they expect to close on the sale in a couple of days.

Another multi-million dollar mega mosque opens in central Ohio

As the Islamization and third-worlding of Ohio continues.

“It features a prayer area separated by one-way windows that allow women to pray privately behind men…”

War on women anyone? via Columbus: Muslims welcome West Side mosque.

A new mosque on the West Side features ornate chandeliers, plush carpeting, moldings etched with verses from the Quran and spacious washrooms.

The new space for the Abubakar Asiddiq Islamic Center is a far cry from the storefront that the congregation has been leasing, with open ductwork, exposed PVC pipes and a leaking ceiling covered by a tarp.

But when founding member Abukar Arman is asked what makes the new building so special, he turns not to physical amenities but to faith.

It is raising about $2.8 million to pay for the first phase of the project, which includes the 1,200-capacity prayer area and washrooms. It expects to raise about $1.5 million more to add a rooftop dome and minarets, and to finish the second floor with classrooms, offices and a kitchen.

The new space comes in response to the needs of a burgeoning immigrant and Islamic population that also has a number of other mosques in central Ohio bursting at the seams.

“There has been a growing number of immigrants and Muslims moving into the southwest side of Columbus, so it created a great need to have a place, not only a place of worship, but a place of ownership and belonging for our growing community,” said project director Abdoul-Latif Shmohamed.

Likewise, on the North Side, Masjid Ibnu Taymiyah has seen a need for more services as the area’s Somali Muslim population grows. So that congregation purchased property in Clinton Township this month with plans to add a second worship site.

And in Hilliard — about 10 miles from the West Side’s Abubakar Asiddiq — leaders at Noor Islamic Cultural Center are eyeing their own expansion as holiday services this year strained the 2,000-person capacity prayer area, with some worshippers observing from outdoors.

Mouhamed Tarazi, president of the Abubakar Asiddiq board, said his group started in 2004 with a handful of families in a leased storefront on Sullivant Avenue. Ten years later, more than 600 people come to prayers each Friday, and 250 children attend afterschool and weekend Quran classes.

Masjid Ibnu Taymiyah on the North Side serves more than 500 families, compared with the 40 or 50 it served in 2003 when it bought the building it currently uses at 2334 Mock Rd., said director Ahmed Sh Ahmed.

Over in Hilliard, Noor draws about 5,000 people each Friday, said Imran Malik, president of the board that oversees the center. Weekend classes are attended by 900 children, with 300 to 400 turned away each year due to space restrictions.

With its purchase of a former Value City Department Store property at 2035 Innis Rd. for $500,000, Masjid Ibnu Taymiyah seeks to serve Muslims and non-Muslims alike on the city’s North and East sides, Ahmed said.

He said the more-than-350,000-square-foot building will be renovated, with development plans to be finalized after meetings with community members to determine needs.

Hassan Omar, director of the Somali Community Association of Ohio, said the group “couldn’t have found a better building in a better location.”

The association was not involved in the purchase but is giving advice on programs, Omar said. The building will be renovated in phases and likely will feature businesses, conference rooms, classrooms and a sports and indoor recreation area, he said.

Napoleon Bell, executive director of the Columbus Community Relations Commission, said his office has received requests from the growing immigrant and refugee community for gathering spaces.

“Anytime a group purchases a space to be used productively, it is good for the entire city — and not just that specific population,” he said.

In Hilliard, leaders at Noor are pleased to welcome Abubakar Asiddiq to the West Side and hope that it helps meet the demand for Muslim worship and education, Malik said.

“This will be great because we’ll have more channels,” he said. “We are hopeful that more synergy and collaboration can be done not only between Muslim institutions but also non-Muslim and Muslim institutions at large.”

Noor worshippers hail from more than 40 ethnic backgrounds, with Arab nations, Somalia, India and Pakistan largely represented.

Its current 17,400 square feet at 5001 Wilcox Rd. includes a mosque and was opened in 2006. Its expansion plan calls for social-activity space, including a multipurpose/banquet room, gymnasium and classrooms, Malik said.

Although members still must vote on the plan, it’s expected to be built on the current 8-acre site and cost $3 million to $5 million, he said.

The new Abubakar Asiddiq space on about 10 acres on the West Side eventually will offer about 30,000 square feet for prayer services, Quran study, study circles, seminars, social services and youth activities, including soccer. Plans are to open up the space to gatherings by inter-religious and other community groups.

The congregation serves many Somalis but also other immigrants, with increasing numbers from Iraq and Palestine, and Tarazi said the new mosque is drawing Muslims from out of state to the Columbus area.

It features a prayer area separated by one-way windows that allow women to pray privately behind men while still seeing the prayer leader. Calligraphy at the entrance offers a testament of faith in Arabic, translating to “There is no God but God, and Muhammad is his messenger.”

Patrick Poole noted in 2007 that Abukar Arman was one of many terror-linked speakers to appear on Capitol Hill, before the event was canceled. Arman then invited many of the same speakers to appear in Ohio.

Democrats Don’t Wait to Lose Before Pointing Fingers

Democrats have been running from Barack Obama for some time, but now they’re already beginning to point fingers over the looming Election Day debacle. “This off-year election has become almost entirely a referendum on the president,” said one Democrat consultant. “It’s not just anger at [ObamaCare]. He has become, in my opinion wrongly, the symbol of dysfunction in Washington. That has led to a demoralized Democratic base, energized Republicans and those in the middle have an easy way of venting their frustration, and that is to punish the president’s party.” Another consultant added, “It is not all Obama but a lot of it is.” Part of the problem is thatObama thinks it’s all about Obama. “Make no mistake,” he said, “[my] policies are on the ballot.” And it’s killing Democrats. More…

Doctors Decline ObamaCare Plans Because They Aren’t Worth It

About 214,000 doctors have opted out of providing health care to people who bought insurance through the “Affordable” Care Act’s health exchanges because of low pay. In some cases, doctors might not get paid at all. The reimbursement rates for ObamaCare are lower than those for Medicare – the rationale being that if doctors only worked harder and faster, they could make the same amount. And if patients don’t pay their premiums, doctors are left holding the bill. TheAmerican Action Forum, a DC think tank, writes, “Because of the pressure placed on insurance companies to keep the cost of exchange plans unrealistically low, providers are being reimbursed at financially unsustainable rates. This reduction in payment rates has caused many physicians and hospitals to decline to accept insurance plans issued through the exchanges, and thereby negating the intended effect of providing individuals with affordable care by virtue of eliminating their access to care.” Not only do the plans cost more, but the quality of service is much, much less. More…

Activists Push Obama to Move on Immigration

The issue of immigration isn’t as big an issue with the average Latino voter. It is the immigration activists who are pushing Obama to go big. They have heard reports that DOJ and DHS will recommend that Obama grant amnesty to a smaller number of people than they hoped for – and those activists feel angry and marginalized. Executive director for the National Immigration Law Center, Marielena Hincapié, said any executive action Obama takes on this issue would be met with Republican opposition (because of its constitutionality, mind you). “Whether it’s one million or two million or seven million, it will be equal criticism,” she complained. “This isn’t about appeasing Republicans; he’s never going to appease them.” But according to Pew Research Center, the top four issues that matter to Latino voters are education (92%), jobs (91%), health care (86%) thenimmigration (73%). Furthermore, the Latino vote is not firmly in Democrat hands. While 50% of Latinos think Democrats perform better on immigration, 27% believe Republicans do a better job. If Obama acts on immigration, it will be first to appease activists, not Latinos. More…

Students Suspended for Picture With Airsoft Rifles

Once again, zero tolerance is way off target. CBS Boston reports, “Last Friday, Tito and his girlfriend Jamie Pereira posed with … Airsoft rifles before the Bristol Plymouth Regional Technical School homecoming dance. The [Facebook] post got them suspended from school.” The photo was not taken on school property and the two teens did not threaten anyone or disrupt school in any way. They simply made the mistake of tagging their post “Homecoming 2014.” That brought in the school SWAT team administrators. National Review’s Charles C.W. Cooke notes the most important thing: “Here, supposedly responsible adults in Taunton have been presented with a choice. Do they punish two kids for an entirely legal photograph that they took in their home, and that caused no trouble to anybody? Or do they stay the hell away from the issue? That they not only chose the first course, but imposed a serious sanction as well is a bad sign for those of us who want schools to act as schools, and parents to act as parents. Only Flat-Earthers Oppose Haphazard Ebola Quarantine Policy

2014-09-25-c7ea6aad.gif

What’s good for the goose is good for the gander. Well, anserine gender stereotypes aside, it turns out that what’s good for one potentially Ebola-stricken American is not good for another. So says this White House, which is against the practice of forced quarantine – except when it’s for it. And if you disagree, it’s because you hate Science™.

Barack Obama recently lashed out at Governors Chris Christie of New Jersey and Andrew Cuomo of New York for instituting mandatory quarantine for individuals suspected of carrying the Ebola virus. In New Jersey, nurse Kaci Hickox was quarantined after returning from treating Ebola patients in West Africa, prompting her to protest that her basic human rights had been violated. She now refuses to comply with a quarantine, insisting through her lawyer, “She’s a very good person who did very good work and deserves to be honored, not detained, for it.” While her work is good, evidently in her opinion, doing that good work involves no risk to herself or others.

The Obama administration sided with Hickox, issuing the veiled threat, “We have let the governors of New York, New Jersey and other states know that we have concerns with the unintended consequences … policies not grounded in Science™ may have on efforts to combat Ebola at its source in West Africa.”

Of course, it’s purely coincidental that nurse Hickox is a CDC employee whose lawyer attended an official White House state dinner earlier this year. Complete coincidence. We’re sure Obama would just as quickly have rushed to the defense of a Tea Party leader whose lawyer was a member of the NRA. But we digress.

Ironically, while Obama was attacking state-mandated quarantines with phony appeals to Science™, his Defense Department was instituting mandatory quarantines for troops returning from Ebola-ravaged regions of West Africa.

Apparently, this is okay with the administration because, as White House Press Secretary Josh Earnest put it, the difference is that civilians returning from West Africa may number “a couple of dozen health-care workers,” while military personnel include “thousands of military service members who have been or will be deployed to West Africa.” Therefore, the military policy simply wouldn’t do for civilians. Or, as Earnest says, “The Science™ would not back that up.”

Confused? So is The Wall Street Journal’s James Taranto, who – tongue planted firmly in cheek – ponders, “So the Pentagon has a de facto quarantine policy, whereas civilian federal health agencies are leaning on governors not to impose similar policies stateside. If only there were an official assigned the task of coordinating the government’s response to Ebola!”

Of course, new political hack Ebola czar Ron Klain has been spotted fewer times than Bigfoot.

The president also claims quarantining civilians constitutes “running” and “hiding” and would prevent medical personnel from traveling to Africa to fight Ebola. “If we are not dealing with this problem there, it will come here,” Obama said, neglecting to note it is here. “If we’re discouraging our health care workers who are prepared to make these sacrifices from traveling to these places in [need],” he continued, “then we’re not doing our job in looking after our own public health and safety.”

It’s more than unfortunate that the president doesn’t have the same “fight it there so we don’t have to fight it here” approach to Jihadistan, but that’s another story.

In all of this, the curious sound bite that keeps coming from the White House is the claim that civilian quarantines simply aren’t backed by Science™. However, common sense dictates that if Ebola in 100 people should be quarantined, then one person who was exposed to Ebola should be quarantined so it doesn’t spread to 100. A Nobel Prize-winning doctor agrees. But since when has science ever guided this administration’s policies?

If it had, the Keystone Pipeline would have been approved five years ago, Secretary of State John Kerry wouldn’t have compared the terrorist threat of ISIL to Al Gore’s bugaboo of man-made climate change, and our government dietary guidelines, which have helped build Americans' menus for nearly 35 years, would be updated based on new scientific studies showing the low-fat craze ingrained into dietary lingo may actually do more harm than good.

Unfortunately, Democrats consider science nothing more than a word to be trademarked and then tossed around to silence debate. And where science does guide policy, it’s science purely of the political kind.

Is Obama’s Relationship With Israel Really This Bad?

2014-08-06-b9798d34.jpg

“The thing about Bibi is, he’s a chickens–t.” So said an Obama administration official in reference to Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu. Ironically, the brave official remains anonymous, and the White House has no interest in discovering his or her identity. The episode highlights the two nations' deteriorating relationship.

The contrast between Netanyahu and our own president is obvious. Netanyahu saw combat as an elite special forces unit leader in the Israeli Defense Force, while Barack Obama was team leader of the dope-smoking “Choom Gang.”

Netanyahu is no stranger to strife with this administration. The last year in particular has featured numerous examples of tension between the two allies. Another Obama official lectured Israel about peace, while Secretary of State John Kerry flubbed cease-fire discussions and showedfavoritism toward the Palestinians, all after he called Israel an “apartheid state” – these are but a few of the kerfuffles driving the nations apart.

Now it’s come to name-calling, of which “chickens–t” is merely the latest entry. According to The Atlantic’s Jeffrey Goldberg, “Over the years, Obama administration officials have described Netanyahu to me as recalcitrant, myopic, reactionary, obtuse, blustering, pompous, and ‘Aspergery.’ (These are verbatim descriptions; I keep a running list.)”

The administration official says the White House views Netanyahu this way because the Israeli leader didn’t launch a preemptive strike against Iran’s nuclear program. “It’s too late for him to do anything,” the official said. “Two, three years ago, this was a possibility. But ultimately he couldn’t bring himself to pull the trigger. It was a combination of our pressure and his own unwillingness to do anything dramatic. Now it’s too late.”

It was the Obama administration that pressured Netanyahu not to strike Iran, and yet this official has the gall to turn around and call him names.

Obama campaigned in 2008 on plans to meet Iranian leaders “without preconditions” to discuss that nation’s nuclear program, and he has largely carried through on his promise. The U.S. has required very little of Iran, and sanctions have had limited effect. That didn’t stop Obama from talking tough in 2012, when he declared, “As long as I’m president of the United States, Iran will not get a nuclear weapon.” Perhaps it won’t happen until after he leaves office in 2017.

Obama has done next to nothing to deter Iran’s nuclear program, besides extend deadlines and meet for more “talks.” In fact, The Wall Street Journal reports, “The Obama administration and Iran, engaged in direct nuclear negotiations and facing a common threat from Islamic State militants, have moved into an effective state of détente over the past year.”

Comparing relations is illustrative. As the Weekly Standard’s Steve Hayes asks, “When is the last time you had anybody from the administration say anything nearly as critical of the Iranian regime as what they just said about Benjamin Netanyahu?”

Indeed, we’re fairly certain Israel would view détente with the U.S. as an improvement.

OPINION IN BRIEF

Communist leader Josef Stalin (1879-1953): “Comrades, I consider it completely unimportant who in the party will vote, or how. But what is extraordinarily important is this: who will count the votes, and how.”

Columnist Michael Reagan: “The quarantine question shouldn’t have to become a constitutional issue. And there’s no reason for state or federal governments to be put in the position of having to force an American citizen to undergo a quarantine. The solution is simple. Before anyone goes to West Africa, they should fill out and sign an application form. If they are unwilling to submit to a 21-day quarantine when they come back, they should be told by their employers, their relief agency or their church group that they cannot go. Period. … [A]ny health worker who’s not willing to undergo a quarantine isn’t a real hero and isn’t looking at the big picture. If they’re willing to do good works in Africa, and God bless them for that, they should be willing to do it the right way. And that means paying the full cost of doing good overseas by ensuring the safety of their families, friends and neighbors back home. America is an incredibly generous country. It has millions of goodhearted heroes who would volunteer to help the sick and dying in West Africa. But they can do good without endangering the rest of us.”

Columnist Arnold Ahlert: “Ferguson has become the ultimate vehicle for Democrats desperate to get out the black American vote, highlighted by a Georgia campaign ad that warns them there may be ‘another Ferguson in their future’ if they don’t vote. Sadly, there will always be another Ferguson in the future, wherever and whenever it accrues to the interests of a divide-and-conquer Democrat party. The same divide-and-conquer Democrat party set to sell out black Americans by forcing them to compete for jobs with the millions of illegals the president intends to unilaterally legalize. I’m guessing there aren’t any Democrats promoting that reality in any of their campaign ads.”

Withdrawal of Houston subpoenas is call to action

Saying "I don't want to have a national debate on freedom of religion" and that it is not good for the City of Houston, homosexual mayor Annise Parker has directed city attorneys to withdraw the subpoenas issued to five Houston pastors. The pastors delivered petitions against her city ordinance requiring restrooms to become unisex based on a person's perceived gender. Notwithstanding, she vowed to continue to protect her so-called "Houston Equal Rights Ordinance (HERO)" because "it is extremely important to me." The change of mind came after Houston area pastors and others met with the mayor and persuaded her to do the right thing. Excellent activism by the pastors, but it shouldn't stop now.

Parker's change of mind on the subpoenas is a small victory in a bigger war. This is no time for forgiveness. She was defiant in her defense of non-gender public restrooms. Yet, she admitted that her action to subpoena pastors' sermons and personal correspondence was not good for the city of Houston. At the very least, Parker should face a recall election for her shenanigans in dictating an ordinance that advances her transsexual agenda and ultimately endangers children and others by opening public restrooms to anyone of any gender. In the name of civil rights, Parker has ignited a national debate about morality, the constitution, and protecting the rights of all citizens. She should pay the price for her actions.

Pastors and the legal defense teams involved in getting Parker to call off her witch hunt should make an example of Parker. She should be sued for her intent to violate the First Amendment rights of the pastors in Houston. Parker should be held accountable for violating Constitutional rights of free speech and religious expression even by disqualifying valid petition signatures. She should also be brought up on charges of using the office of mayor to forward a personal agenda, and knowingly using city resources to pursue something that was harmful to the city--all things she has admitted to in her subpoena withdrawal. The pastoral community in Houston should be relentless in their pursuit of justice.

The Lord has blessed his disciples with a moral and legal code of accountability. It transcends the community of followers into the broader society as we are charged to "Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost: Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you (Matthew 28:19-20)." We are also told to overcome evil with good. What Parker has done is evil. There should be no turning of the cheek. If the righteous do not hold the line on accountability we have an Isaiah 59:14 situation: "And judgment is turned away backward, and justice stands afar off: for truth is fallen in the street, and equity cannot enter." Let there be bold action against the iniquity of the Houston mayor.

Republican Senate candidate Thom Tillis was called “Uncle Tom” at a recent Senator Kay Hagan rally in North Carolina. Hillary Clinton was also on hand to help rally Democrats in support of Hagan–and the possible presidential candidate specifically praised the speaker who made the questionable comments.

The remarks were from Alma Adams, who is running for Congress from North Carolina’s 12th Congressional District. Here’s audio:

The Colorado secretary of state is investigating allegations that some Boulder County Republican election judges are actually Democrats in disguise.

Boulder County GOP Chairwoman Ellyn Hilliard initially raised the alarm when visiting polling locations where she didn’t recognize some of the GOP judges who are tasked with comparing voter signatures on mail ballots to protect against vote fraud.

She became alarmed when she noticed some ballots whose signatures clearly didn’t match those on file for the voter being accepted.

Deputy Secretary of State Suzanne Staiert began investigating and confirmed to the Daily Camera that she found “some troubling inconsistencies with some election judges.”
